Desktops HP come with real Windows 7 OS disc?

I think to buy a desktop HP Pavilion p6710f with Windows 7 installed. It come with the disc of Windows 7?

I'll buy it to Office Depot. Don't know if that makes a difference, if it is sold with the disc or not.

Thank you

HP do not come with the OS to re - install, an OEM version. Which helps HP owns to make 1 set of Recovery DVD. It is strongly recommended to use only DVD + R media.

My computer did not come with a restore Windows XP disc and I don't know how to get one, because my computer keeps restarting itself and that goes, "your computer must was closed incorrectly, or because of a power failure" and he gives me 3 options of safe mode and then gives me the opportunity to go to windows normally... but all the options I chose... It keeps just restarting on me... My computer did not come with a restore disc and Idk anyone who owns one... then where would I go to get one?

Some computers have a built-in hard disk recovery partition.  Search for information on this subject on the BIOS screen that appears the first thing when the computer starts.  By pressing Ctrl + F11, accesses a recovery on some Dells partition.

Otherwise, contact the computer manufacturer and ask if they can provide a restore disc.

  • HP 255 arrived with any WIndows OS flight number

    Hi all

I got the new laptop HP 255 this morning which has preloaded Windows8, but I don't see the serial number of the Windows operating system anywhere. I ordered this HP direct online. I was expecting a sticker stuck somewhere on the case, but no. Does anyone know if this is the way the HP sells their laptops?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Machines delivered with Windows 8 is no longer come with the windows on a COA label product key - the key is now stored on the chip of the Bios in encrypted form.  When reinstalling Windows 8, this key is automatically read from the chip as part of the installation process.

  • Desktop HP 110 - 016 (H5P36AA) - it comes with the system recovery?

Hello, help a friend with an old desktop computer replacement. The specifications of the product on hp.com suggest that perhaps there is no recovery partition, but maybe I'm misinterpreting this (see screenshot below). I just want to make sure that, it is such a partition in the case where this Murphy rules. Thank you.

According to the specifications, this model comes with a HP recovery Partition and Windows HP Recovery Manager. Please, see performing a recovery of the system HP (Windows 8) for instructions on how to perform a recovery of the HP System. See create recovery discs or record a recovery Image on a Flash USB (Windows 8) drive for instructions on the HP recovery media creation. I highly recommend the creation of recovery disks or USB flash drive. In the case of a hard disk failure, the recovery media will be invaluable.

  • My new hard drive (from HP) will come with windows?

Basically, my hard drive is "close to collapse" and HP will send me a new one I am still under warranty. My laptop is so slow that it takes about 30 minutes to open and start a backup system, which fails for some reason any.

I managed to transfer my music and work in a USB port, I don't mind losing all the other stuff I have.

I have free anti-VRUS and run windows7 starter. Should I keep trying to save my hardrive so that I can keep the windows or the hardrive will come with it, in which case I'm not worth it.

    -Sorry if this is hard to understand, I have a problem, try to explain what I mean > _<. if="" you="" don't="" get="" what="" i'm="" saying="" please="" ask="" so="" that="" i="" can="" be="" more="" specfic...="" thanks="" in="" advance="">

    Edit:

I'm assuming that windows is kept on the disk and not the real computer. I don't know what I'm talking about more.

    Hello:

Since your laptop is still under warranty, you can call HP and ask if you can get the discs sent free.

If a game costs in the neighborhood of $16.00.

You will receive a set of numbered discs (I don't know how much - not less 2).

After you have installed the hard drive and test to make sure it works, you can insert the disc labeled disk 1 in the DVD player, restart the computer and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, you press the F9 key to access the one time boot menu. Select the DVD drive and you should then see a message on the screen indicating in substance... «to try to boot from DVD...» Press any key to boot from the DVD... »

Press a button and your recovery disk should start loading. Then simply follow the instructions on the screen.

  • any email client comes with windows 7 Home premium

purchase of a new computer which has windows 7 Home premium installed.  Found that outlook express will no longer exist for me :) is an email client that comes with this version preinstalled windows 7?

You can import messages from OE in WLMail. Here are the basics, but try the WLMail forum if you need more specific information.

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail. Open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

Open the Contacts list in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

    For the account settings:

In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new computer and WLMail desktop: tools | Accounts and import the settings from the location you saved the.

For my part, I went to Thunderbird in Win7. I couldn't find a program for export/import, I did it this way that works with most email clients.

Create a folder on your desktop, then in Outlook Express open the folder with the messages you want to save. Highlight a message, and then Ctrl + A will highlight all (or Ctrl-button down while you select only messages you want), now, drag and drop them into the folder on your desktop.

Copy this folder on the desktop of the new machine. Create a folder in the email client. Open the office folder and drag messages into the e-mail client folder.

I came here looking for the answer and what I found I have to access the internet from the desktop computer requiring the difficulty to obtain the fix. I need help including the patch and how to obtain the fix my laptop on my desk. Thank you very much for your advice. Robert

    Hi Robert,.

I suggest that you do the following and check to see if they help.

    Step 1:

Temporarily disable all security software and check if the problem persists.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.  In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

If this does not work, try installing Windows Installer 4.5 from the link below and check if you are able to install Verizon MIFI.

    Windows Installer 4.5 is available
    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/942288

    Step 3:

Make the SFC scan on your machine to repair or recover system files.

    Step 4:

Create a new user account and try to install Verizon MIFI.

If none of the steps to help, please contact Verizon support .

  • Reinstalling windows 7 on a laptop comes with pre-installed windows

I bought my Dell XPS two or three years, and it came with a preinstalled version of Windows 7 64-bit. I would now like to format and perform a new installation of the same version of Windows.

I already have a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc (tested on an old machine server and that market), I wrote down the product ID (found in the computer-> properties-> Windows activation), which looks like xxxxx-OEM-xxxxxxx-xxxxx, and also, using a few different 3rd party programs Magic Jelly Bean, ProduKey, Belarc), I found my product key, which looks like xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx.

These two will be enough to activate my Windows after I have format my computer? Can I first of all turn off somewhere before formatting to release the license?

I received my DVD of a link provided by a moderator on this forum (there was a link to msft.digitalrivercontent.net).

I already have a backup system full (using the backup and restore of windows tool) on an external drive in case something goes wrong and am currently backing up my personal data as well as the basic driver.

I find the COA sticker on the underside of my laptop, so I hope that I now have the correct product key.

Thank you very much for the help!

    You are welcome.

As you have the ISO digitalriver download on DVD do this way:

How to do a clean install; and Yes, to use the product key on the COA sticker you have found with the method chosen to reinstall:

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-Windows-7-a.html

By using the downloaded ISO file method can require the Activation of phone.

If it does require phone activation, do not follow Demand of Auto, but brace yourself for a real person explain as to what has been done for purposes of re-setup

"How to activate Windows 7 by phone '

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/18715-activate-Windows-7-phone.html

The above method also requires that you go to your computer manufacturer's website > Support and downloads Section > locate your model number and operating system > then download and install the latest drivers for it.

  • You have problems with internet tethering using your Blackberry Desktop Software after upgrade to Windows 8?

Here's the email I sent today to Microsoft. Do you have the same problem? How is - it you haven't solved the problem? Do we not have a work around? Thank you very much!

    Hello

Recently, I met this problem since I upgraded my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 8 by shopping online. I can't do internet tethering with my Blackberry 9360 more. I am using Blackberry Desktop Software 7.1.0.32. Here is the error message I get when I click on "Mobile Internet" in the office of the said application

    COULD NOT START INTERNET MOBILE
Failed to initialize of the Mobile Internet.

Please check your profile settings and make sure that your radio is turned on. This service could also have been turned off by your mobile service provider or administrator.

Already, I have ensured setting/phone/internet is correct and that the radio is on. In addition, internet endearing is supported by my Smart unlimited BIS Plan.

So my friend visited our place and I noticed that he uses his Blackberry 9320 with Globe unlimited BIS Plan for internet tethering in his laptop. It works perfectly fine. And so I used their BB device on our PC and I got the same error as posted above. I then connected his 9320 BB to his laptop (with same Blackberry Desktop Software installed) and it started to work again very well. So, I also tried my BB 9360 on his laptop computer and internet endearing worked!

What I've been through, I guess that the problem is not related to the BB Desktop Software I use plan or service that I currently have with my carrier. Obviously, the problem is due to a problem of incompatibility somehow.

How to solve this problem? It is important for me to use internet service my phone sometimes because often our connection with Smart Bro is much too slow.

I hope I get a response as soon as possible time. Thanks and good luck.

    Hello

BlackBerry (BB) 9320 and 9360 are compatible with the Windows 8 operating system.

You can consult the following Microsoft article.
