destinations.msi

Hello. Since the installation of SP2 on my family vista premium on windows boot setup opens and tries to install destinations.msi. He then tells me to insert the disk I have no disk. After canceling the installer of my sidebar will open and everything works fine. My question is how to stop tring Setup to perform this function? Thanks in advance.

Glad that helped and thanks for the comments WMACK.

  • Question of destination.msi Windows Vista Sidebar

When I try to start Windows Sidebar, I get a windows pop up, the search for file destination.msi.
    How can I fix it?

Okay, it looks like this problem occurs from time to time. But you can try the following:

First, you must open the command prompt, but with right click "run as Administrator".
Then navigate with the command CD to the following folder: C:\progam Windows sidebar.
OK, now you would type the following:

    1. regsvr32 sbdrop.dll u (after each order approve with the button ENTER)

    2 regsvr32 u wlsrvc.dll

    3 regsvr32 atl.dll

    4 regsvr32 sbdrop.dll

    5 regsvr32 wlsrvc.dll

Done, your sidebar should work again.

    Hi lmcrae,

Put your computer in a clean boot configuration to determine which product is responsible for this. Clean boot is a way convenient, safer to change the options for startup in the registry; You can turn individual items or disable freely to try various combinations up to that narrow you the problem. Once you find out, post details about the same so that we can take additional measures.

  • HPPhotosmartEssentials.msi and can't make repairs on something that are not installed error

This prevents the busy when starting windows installer... I reinstalled the HP printing software again and again and I get all green checkmarks with the diagnosis of HP, the eq seems to work perfectly.  When pointing the file in a temporary folder, it is said cannot perform repairs on something that is not installed. When you point to the .msi on the original disk file, it does nothing. WHAT ARE THE XP REGISTRY KEYS TO REMOVE THIS NUISANCE?

It would be I think that it is somehow a bug in the HP upgrade process that will not remove previous versions. I think I have a hpphotosmartessential version 3.5 open now.

It's not urgent that I can click cancle 1000 times before windows finally gets the trick.

I have read enough about it and continued each method to remedy this and I'M NOT GOING through ANOTHER afternoon OF RE - INSTALLING SOFTWARE from THE DISC.

I expect an HP engineer to answer this before someone else, that says something I've already read, don't.

This must be a registry entry that is not processed during installation and upgrade.

Because I didn't misplace the entry or move, I expect you to know where he is and I wish to eliminate or make a change to one of its key...

    Thatnk you in advance!

Note: Make sure to create a registry backup Open regedit, file > export & save Office

    To access this location:
Click on start then run type regedit

    Register window opens

Click on + and then HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/Installer/products

Select any folder under products, then click in the right pane you will see the name of the product (WebFldrs XP) usually where the status, Solution Center, Scan, Destinations and etc. So check each folder under products if you find the name of the product that keeps popping up delete the folder and that will solve the problem or you can use Ctrl + Find and all the msi name box that keeps the popup type & remove the folder itself

It is the shortest method to solve the problem without uninstalling/reinstalling software.

If the problem is not resolved it's time, you will need to uninstall/reinstall the software.

  • ThinApp 4.6 cannot generate the msi package

ThinApp 4.6 question, I can't undestand why, but I am unable to create the .msi package. The error comes at the end of the phase of construction for any application! no problem with 4.5, but you now I need the functionality of Streaming... so I'm stuck.

creating the file .exe like no problem, but the creation of the .msi fails with the error "cannot find destination path /bin/whatever.msi" (and the .msi file created is obviously unusable)

    Any suggestions?

@kkware - excuses... did not read your message first.  This looks like an AV problem almost.  That would be my first guess.

If you have any software firewall or AV, can you delete those virtual machine (take a snapshot of the VM) or turn them off temporarily?

  • How can I add a map page in photo books that will show destinations with arrows like iPhotos used to do?

In iPhotos, you can create a page of book that showed cards with your travel destinations. The kids loved because they can now see to what extent they traveled. This feature doesn't seem to be transported on the photos App updated. Can anyone explain why?

You can add a map with markers places, but arrows like in iPhoto or Aperture are perhaps not available, because the pages with arrows caused constant crashes in iPhoto, who knows.

As a workaround: you could create a map with location markers page and print the page in PDF format, and then draw the arrows in preview on the map and import the page map of pictures as a photo.  Add this photo to the photo book full page.

  • 36.0A1 Nightly of Firefox (2014-11-11) - why, when you call WebRTC, I appear successfully ringing the destination but on the response of destination, there is no audio

I built a simple website (www.badtothebone.wtf). At the bottom of each page of the site, there is text 'Call for your WebRTC browser - compatible' and below a click2dial link - "http://click2dial.org/u/YWRtaW5AYmFkdG90aGVib25lLnd0Zg==". It works well, and as it should be on the current versions of developer and Canary of Chrome and Opera Developer. In Firefox Nightly 36.0a1 (2014-11-11), I can hear the ring of destination after the "enabling the microphone" step, but there is no other audio in Firefox. Call logs indicate that the call is connected to the destination (where a message is read and can leave a message).

After a thorough reading and research on this issue, I found that this is a known issue with how Firefox differs from Chrome and Opera by establishing a DTLS handshake required for click2dial. This can apparently be solved by creating a self-signed OpenSSL certificate. I have more research to do before I create my certificate, but now realize that the problem is solvable. As originally stated, it works as expected in Chrome and Opera.
