Hi Shampaine,

Thanks for posting your problem here!

I understand the pain you're going through. Let's not worry!

I'll help you get the fixed number.

Quick questions:

1. How have you tried to update the driver?

2. What is the error message?

3. what happens when you try to update the driver?

4. which version of Windows vista work you? Windows vista 32-bit or Windows Vista 64-bit?

My PC running the 32-bit version or 64-bit Windows?

5. Why do you want to install "nForce 610dans / GeForce 7050?

Here is a link to Asus. Select the operating system and download the drivers:

http://www.ASUS.com/motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5NMX/#download

Here is a link for "nForce 610dans / GeForce 7050" but the driver is for Windows XP. You can see the same:

nForce 610dans / GeForce 7050

    Hello

Yes, it's my point of view. I think HP has a few machines of 'games' and customers can access the BIOS to increase the RAM, CPU... speed. Other providers can do the same thing as Asus for its gaming machines.

Sorry, I don't play games (well, I'm lying, I play Sudoku and Candy Crush Saga) so I do not have any gaming machine.

  • Can't get fallout 3 for work

Unable to get Fallout 3 to work with Win7, it worked fine with Vista 32-bit, Morrowind and Oblivion work fine on my Win7 (same game engine, different versions) computer. I contacted Bethesda and they responded with an answer completely generic copy/paste, I'll throw the body of the email here for everyone who can help to get on the same page.

Hello, please note that the program is not tested or supported in Windows 7. You *.
    may *
be able to run the program in Windows 7 compatibility mode, but we can not guarantee that the program will run properly in this new operating system.
Program compatibility is a mode in Windows that allows you to run programs written for earlier versions of Windows. Most programs written for Windows XP also work in this version of Windows, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. If an older program doesn't work correctly, start the program compatibility Wizard to simulate earlier versions of Windows.
To change a program compatibility settings:
NOTE: Do not use the program compatibility Wizard the on old anti-virus, utility disk or other system programs, because it might cause data loss or create a security risk.
NOTE: If the compatibility options are grayed out, then it is a 64-bit program and cannot be changed.1. Right click on the program icon.
    2. click on properties.
    3. click on the Compatibility tab.
    4. check the box "run this program in compatibility mode".
    5. choose the version of Windows, the program was made for. For optimal compatibility, choose the latest version of Windows, so that the program was written. If you are not sure, check the system requirements for the program.
    6. it may also be necessary to check the box for "Run this program as an administrator."
    7. click on apply and OK Hi,.
Fallout 3 crashes to the desktop on game-starting, I reinstalled and tried to load the game with no patches, mods not, no utilities of any sort, and it still crashes. I don't know what to do, and it seems that the questions related to this issue will not resolved on the Bethesda forums.
    Here is my system information:
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Motherboard: Asus P5N - T Deluxe (Nvidia nforce 780i chipset)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (3 GHz)
RAM: Corsair DDR2 6 GB memory
VGA: Nvidia (BFG) GTX 285 1024Mo (196.21 driver version)
    Sound card: integrated
(Just an info, I have the Steam version, but I doubt that it is important). I used to play the game under Windows Vista (32-bit), and it worked very well, the computer is exactly the same as it was before I switched to windows 7.
See the DXdiag attached for more details, I doubt that you will find something good. Wrong to throw the DXdiag on my skydrive for those who want to see (http://cid-51b65177f7aebc51.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/.Public?uc=1 ) if the link does not work I will paste the text here. Sorry for the formatting I don't know how to fix it.

    Hi Tehori93,

The information that you received from this team of support for the games are good. Fallout 3 is not compatible with windows 7. You may need to wait until the game manufacturer releases a patch or windows 7 compatible game Fallout.

    Hi Chad,

You can determine exactly what causes most of the problems by following the steps below:

Method 1: Put the computer into safe mode and see if the error persists:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Method 2: Clean boot

If the problem is not repeated in safe mode then it is likely that a startup item or service is causing the problem. Follow the steps on the following link to locate the item or service is causing the issue:

  • Faulty video display

I have a HP Pavillion DV9700 with a defective screen.
The video system is: Nvida GeForce 7150 M/nForce 630 M
Operating system: Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit

The fault can be described as follows:

The screen shows a series of very thin (less than 1 mm) vertical bands forming the actual image, alternating with dark vertical bands also less than 1 mm wide, across the width of the screen. It's a bit like the screen through a vertical Venetian blind whose slats are less than 1 mm. This translates into small texts being almost unreadable...
If I connect an external monitor, the display on the external monitor is perfect.

I've updated the video drivers to the latest version, but I think that it is probably a hardware problem and not a software...

    I'd appreciate any help.

  • Upgrading the video card and power supply, these will work with my system?

Hello, I am wanting to update my graphics card as my current one is finally fall behind on current games, BF3 beta is a restless nighmare and BC2 must be smooth running low (ick). I was satisfied with the weaker graphics for now, but its time for an upgrade. In any case, I think I have my selected updates and I just want to confirm that they will work with my computer until I pull the trigger. My current equipment:

    HP p6180t

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=4010451&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&lang=en&tmp_track_link...

    Intel Core2 Quad 2.83 GHZ

    8.00 GB RAM DDR3

    Vista 64-bit

Creative Sound Blaster X - Fi Audio Xrteme

1.5 GB NVIDEA GeForce GT230 [DVI, HDMI, VGA]

I plan on upgrading the graphics card on an Asus NVIDEA GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi)

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814121446

And the power of a passionate Corsair 850W 80 + CERT (I know this is perhaps an exaggeration, but I can update to motherboards in the future to run two SLI cards and do not want to upgrade again)

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=17-139-009&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&PUR...

I removed the side panel to check the dimensions of the new card and it looks like it fits. The only thing that could be a problem of release the cables SATA for the hard drive and hard drive because they are both plugged into the two slots, I don't think that the two superiors would be no problem at all. Depending on the thickness of the new card is also, it may be very close to the sound card that is spaced only a slit above the graphics card. I have another location available PCIe x 1 go back one level more that I should be able to plug the sound card in if there is no problem.

My question is that these two will be compatible with my system? (physical limitations side)

Also, can I change which SATA plug the hard drive and disc plug in, without having to reformat? Is it just unplug and plug in the new housing? (setting power off + unplugged of course) Basically passing SATA0 and SATA1, SATA2, and SATA3. Or do need to be filled in order? (0 then 1 then 2, etc...)

Finally, If I can't move the sound of a standard card, do I need to do anything other than the physically move when the computer is turned off and unplugged?

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    John

    jkalbin,

You have thought through all scenerios. Move the sound card does not any problems. The hard drive should stay in header SATA 0.

    You can recall any mistakes?

Next time that happens, notice the error, or take a screengrab. In fact, they can help diagnose your problem.

    Back to basics.

Have you updated to After Effects (for CS4 9.0.2)?

Have you disabled multi-processing in the After Effects preferences?

Have you tried to disable OpenGL in After Effects preferences?

Have you tried to recreate the file?

Your amount of RAM is barely enough to run a single instance of After Effects.

A general recommendation would be to buy more RAM, regardless of whether the nature of your difficulties.
