Detection of virus-resistant

I have not received a phone call, no name no number, the India? a couple of days asking me to investigate a Windows virus problem. I hung up he thinks a scam. This morning, I read about the Gozi virus. Does anyone have a similar experience?

Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

Please see:

http://www.Microsoft.com/en-GB/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.

These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

  • Norton/Security Essentials detects the Virus Help!

    Hello

Recently I got a virus that seems to create a temporary file inside the application data area. When Norton detects the file it deletes. I then restart my pc and discover in the process that it has a different file name, IE: (61e.exe) I do not know if the virus changes its file name and tries to trick the protector. I also tried to use Malwarebytes. It detects the virus, but does not delete to restart the computer.

Anyway, I can't seem to find the root of this virus and I was wondering if someone could help.

    Best regards

    Scott

It is strongly recommended that you run only one antivirus at a time program. In more than one program antivirus active in memory uses additional resources and may result in program conflicts and false virus alerts. Your best defense against computer viruses and malware is to keep your up-to-date virus definitions and run AV Auto-Protect. If you choose to install more than one anti-virus on your computer program, only one of them should be active in memory at a time. (The AV module, which is active in memory is called Auto-Protect. Other antivirus programs will have different names for this function.)

  • Please help me. What is the best antivirus? capable of detecting all viruses

Please help me. What is the best antivirus? capable of detecting all viruses

I would recommend mse, and here is the important part, XP as a limited user. If you are running as an administrator, a virus can make any chages to your system, including tampering with any AV you have installed, mse, windows firewall up and running as a limited user must provide a lot of protection,

    http://voices.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2006/05/the_importance_of_the_limited.html

running as a limited user can be an inconvience initially, but once you learn how to adapt to it, your pc will be more secure and your exoierence of the user shouldn't be touched that.

  • I just reinstalled Windows XP Home Edition and after put into Avast detected a VIRUS.

I have a purchased retail Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2 (version 2002) installation C.D. recently, I wiped my hard drive with a disc of scrub and re-installed Windows with this C.D. After all Microsoft security updates, I downloaded Avast Internet Security 7 (trial version). At one point, I did a virus scan and it detected a virus Trojan I think maybe a keylogger. Hello

During the installation you have selected the option "format"?

No virus is not on the Microsoft Disc.

I suggest that you download and run a full scan of the system to the Microsoft Safety scanner help.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • My ftp detects a virus in my muse index file and deletes it. What can I do?

I tried to download my file through the upload to ftp option muse and also by simply dragging the file and it detects a virus and deletes it. What can I do? In this case, it is a specific server, because when I use another server is not a problem.

Is it possible to remove the code in my index file that causes this problem.

    Thank you

    Tania

I contacted the hosting company and they told me to add an "s" in front of the ftp to make secure and it worked. It's weird how it detected my muse as a virus index.html file and delete the server.

The host I was using was rackspace. Maybe this might help someone else.

    Hi Mohdanees,

Did you the latest changes on the computer before this problem?

I suggest that you start the computer in Mode safe and run virus scan by using the Microsoft from there Scanner.

Step 1: Start in Safe Mode.

    See the link.

    Startup options (including safe mode)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode?SignedIn=1

Step 2: Run Microsoft Safety scanner Mode without failure.
Microsoft safety scanner will help us to get rid of software viruses, spyware and other malicious software. The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Warning: If you run the antivirus program that is infected by the virus scan will get deleted. Therefore, reinstall the program. Also, if files and folders are affected by the virus, while they might even get deleted.

Hope this information helps you. If you need additional help or information on Windows, I'll be happy to help you.

  • Host detects the virus that is ran in the virtual machine

When I google search for "virus to test download" and open the 2nd link in my windows 7 VM, avast on my host computer is like VIRUS DETECTED. I'm guessing that this occurs because the virtual computer uses the internet hosts.

PS: it was once my I.T. teacher told me that he was sure navigation in a virtual machine.

Host antivirus can detect the test virus in the network traffic and also could detect when the VM saves on hard drive of the virtual machine (which, after all, is stored just as a set of files on the hard drive of the host).  Some antivirus programs scan even the memory used by all processes running, in which case it can also discover that the test virus from the data in the memory of the virtualization engine.  None of these situations are a source of real concern for the host.

Navigation in a virtual machine is generally considered safe from the point of view of the host, but virtualization will do nothing to directly protect the OS itself invited to malware that it can capture.

Note that VMware Workstation has a few features that deliberately to break the isolation barrier and could expose the host to a malicious client.  If you are worried about it, a good starting point to lock the virtual computer is to go in the settings of the virtual machine, choose the Options tab, make sure the shared folders is disabled (under Guest insulation), make sure that the Clipboard and features drag-and - drop are disabled.

    See you soon,.

  • How can I detect a virus in my Mac?

    Hello everyone

I think my Mac has a virus. Let me give you some details.

Recently, I downloaded FileVault for my Mac (from the official Apple App store). Some users said that their Mac has slowed down, while others had no problem with him. I downloaded FileVault, and it actually sped up my computer, so this doesn't seem to be the problem, or at least, I don't think it is.

    Here's where the problem began:

I plan to spend in Warwick, NY. So I went online to visit the official site of the city. There is a Facebook link that I clicked on. No problem. As I read the script, I noticed it below (do NOT click)

Martin Filipowski McAfee antivirus warns that this page is a risk for malicious activity, see the report below:

    http://www.McAfee.com/threat.../site/default.aspx...

Above this post, there was an article on New York State. I clicked on it and had no problem. It's the kind of an online magazine on what to do in Upstate NY. But when I saw the post above, that the link on the northern part of the State could be malicious, I panicked. I clicked on the link to learn more and discovered that there was a dead link. It is then that all my problems began. Here is what happened in detail:

I started noticing that when I turn on my Mac (and now even my IPad) it takes a LONG TIME for the Internet (Pie) to appear. I have a secure network, (Optimum) and sometimes it doesn't. I am forced to use the Wi - Fi which is not secure. So, when in fact, I try to use the Internet, it may take up to 3-5 minutes for the page to come. After awhile, it starts to work, but he still drags, as if something is it holds. It's weird. Ditto my IPad. It was working fine. Now he begins to act like my Mac. It takes at least 5 minutes (if not more) to the Internet lights.

How can I check to see if this link put something on my computer? Is it possible for me to see if my Mac has a virus? Help!

My guess is that if the MBA and the iPad have the same problem, you may have a router problem.  I suggest that you change it.

If no success wait to come and advise you, an expert of router.  This is an area that I am not well versed in.

    Ciao.

  • HP can't detect any virus protection, but really I do! no lie!

I have a g6 Pav and the wizard says I have no virus protection, and yet I use Norton. There seems to be a logical break. Any thoughts?

I suspect that the Windows operating system is the one complaining without protection antivirus rather than HP.  What version of Norton is up to date, and what version of Windows is running?
