• Developer SQL hangs after each request

  I have a strange situation that has just begun. After each query, SQL Developer 3.0.02 hangs just for about 20 seconds and then returns to normal. The time displayed for the completion of the request are correct - it's just the UI freeze. I'm running Vista on a 10R2 database. Everything worked very well since 13/01/11 until last Friday. Running with JDK included.
  
  Any idea what has changed?

  This could be related to a problem with the history of SQL. If you have a history of SQL open, it can slow down things radically.

• Adobe Reader hangs after opening a document

  This is a recurring problem with Adobe Reader.

  Shortly after opening a document, the reader freezes for a few seconds. Who knows why, there probably accessing the network or tries to do something smart, which results in the user not being able to read the paper for a while.

  I tried to disable the 'smart' options as much as I could, but without success. Could someone work around this bug to Adobe Reader without end?

  I admit that I am tired of this monster of a program, why can't Adobe keep the reader a light application, instead of throwing all those useless features, ads and other uglinesses...?

  The best solution was really throw Adobe Acrobat Reader and install Foxit Reader instead. Thanks anyway.

  Backstory: I had this database fell on my lap when the company, I started working for last October, won the contract.  The developers gave me very little turn over, so I'm digging in my memory when I maintained an Oracle DB in 2002.  My skills are very dated, so please, be gentle.

  Oracle SQL program Version 4.0.2

  I initially installed sqldeveloper without worrying about Java.  I got an error and the research revealed that the JDK is not installed and was trying to use JRE...  I installed the JDK 1.7.0 55.  Now when I run sqldeveloper, the splash screen comes up with a loading bar... He goes to about 10% of the bar and sits there exciting.  Happening for hours.  What I am doing wrong?  What other information do you need?  Thank you.

  You reinstall sqldeveloper once you have installed the JDK? Developer SQL saves the value in the Java House in sqldeveloper.conf under E:\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin (at least it does in version 3.0). You can try to update the path of this file if it is incorrect, but it is probably safe to reinstall everything.

  I have a problem very frustrating and already tried much resolve.
  As the title says, when I want to start SQL Developer, it seems to start fine, bounces on the
  Dock for awhile, but then all of a sudden, she leaves without a screen of boot or anything.
  
  Here's what I did:
  
  * Improved of OSX Lion Mountain Lion to get rid of an installation of Java may be broken.
  * Installed Java SE 6 after being invited to just start after updating to Mountain Lion.
  * Check the sqldeveloper - Darwin.conf file that looks very good.
  * Checked my installation of java with java-version that looks very good, too.
  * Download the latest version of SQL Developer.

• l playing scrabble via 'isc.ro' word biz program. When you attempt to start the program, the window opens for a few seconds, flashes and then closes.

  brand new dell, just out of the box, Inspiron machine, would have thought that a program would be easy to perform.

  l has found that when l download the Java link and the version that was on the site of the ISC, the program began to function properly. l update also the program Java to the latest version, as well, so there are two versions on my computer. It has never been a problem with the download of the program itself. by getting only that it runs from the icon on my desktop. lt would open a window as usual, after a second flash and then disappear completely. • Adobe Acrobat stops after a few seconds

  Recently, some of our users are problems where Adobe Acrobat Pro XI (11.0.16) stops after having been open for a few seconds.

  OS: Windows 8.1

  What I tried:

  • Removal tool including vacuuming (Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs ) can clean installation
  • Removal and remove manually the remaining records in C:\User\username\appdata\roaming, local and locallow, removing everything related to Adobe acrobat form the HKLM\Software and HKCU\software... then clean install
  • Adobe running with administrator privileges and it runs under a different user account
  • Removing and installing a version previous (11.0.05), which had the same stop to unextected
  • Removed the preferences as described here How to reset preference settings in Acrobat format.  (Note that he had no new folder preferences created after moving the former again and start Acrobat)

  So far, I have still no idea why this happens and how to solve it. I hope you can help.

• 9.5.1 reader crashes after a few seconds for non-Admin users

  I have Adobe Reader 9.5.1 installed on some Citrix XenApp 5.0 for Windows 2003 servers.  Any time a user not Administrator launches Reader it is open for a few seconds and then hangs.  It indicates an incident of Dr. Watson in the error logs every time. If I log on as an administrator, it works very well.  I tried to reinstall/repair installation without success.

  Someone has run into this in the past or someone has any ideas on how to fix it?

  Install the patch from the United Nations and the reader. Restart your server and re install Reader. It should work.

• Acrobat Pro XI closes after a few seconds

  My computer died and I got a new.  I installed Acrobat Pro XI and used my serial number.  I've never seen an activation screen.  When I open a pdf it only remains open for a few seconds and then closes.  I tried the cat and they said they couldn't help me I should go post on the forum.  I see a lot of people have posted this same question, but no help.  It's terrible support from Adobe.

  When I long press any tool in the Toolbox to develop it, photoshop CS5 freezes for a few seconds.

  Any idea?

• New App crashed a few seconds after the opening

  Out of nowhere the application of new collisions a farm just after opening.  I see that the verification of updates for a second and it crashes.  It looks closed, but the first screen is there in the background, but if I click on it it just hangs.  I closed the app running in the background, but it did not help. I have ios 9.3.2 - any help is appreciated.  I've seen others on the web with this problem but no resolution.

  I noticed this a few days ago. It worked just itself, so I'll try a little later. Historically, it crashes on the stage of 'Check updates', I think it is probably a server Apple problem.

  iPhoto crashes on MacOS X 10.8.5, if you have enabled places.

  Do a test: If iPhoto will launch once you disconnect from the Internet, the solution is to disable access to Google Maps and disable places of research.

  I found a solution that works for me...

  1 goto /Applications/iPhoto.app/Contents/Resources

  2 delete the files 'googlemap.html' and googlesearch.html

  IPhoto no longer crashes, site does not work, but it doesn't bother me too much.

  Let me know if it works for you guys...

  Deletes two files "googlemap.html" and the googlesearch.html of iPhoto application bundle prevents the JavaScript running inside and causing the accident.  Log of course do the same thing. So it's pretty clear that something happened at the end of Google.

  To access the files inside the iPhoto application select it in the Finder and ctrl-click on it. Then use the command "Show Package Contents" from the menu.  Open the content subfolder and then resources.

  Do not try this fix without making a copy of the iPhoto application before trying to delete the two files of the entire application.
