Dictionary "Bug".

TS:

I wanted to draw your attention to a few items in the 'dictionary' typo that could be reviewed.  To see the typo-translation, type "p0enis" or "poenis.  While my eyes and my ears are not virgins and I'm not going to have a collapse, understand that I don't see the point of having to be listed as a typo... especially when there is a LOT more Palm must focus.  Maybe I missed something; Certainly, I would like to know if I.  Except something I don't understand, I'm concerned about the level of professionalism, this allows to view and do this for two reasons: 1. I do not understand the value of these (and other items in the dictionary, especially when there are other MUCH more important that must be addressed) and 2. I WANT Palm to be taken seriously and succeed and do not see how Palm is taken seriously with this stuff... bit matter how minor.

Best,

JB

This is my first palm device, I know that many in the professional field such as doctors have been long time Palm users. I can see how this is an advantage for them. I don't think that the spelling dictionary took too long, other issues.

I don't see how this would handicap Palm are taken seriously.

  • 2016 staff Word dictionary is full.

    I'm posting this question here, because I do not have the answer in the Microsoft forum.

    Everyone becomes a complete dictionary in Word 2016?    Now, when I try to add words to my dictionary, I get this dialog box:

    I am now on my sixth personal dictionary.   None of them works.  No one at Microsoft knows what to do about it.

    I post here in case someone here has the answer to this problem.

    If you want to see the entire thread on the Microsoft site, it's here:

    nary-is-full-word-2016/938923eb-fde2-4aed-b7dc-f498688d961d http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Mac/forum/macoffice2016-MacWord/custom-dictio

    It could very well be a bug. I see that Bob Jones has helped you. He is a Microsoft MVP for years, and I would trust his advice. Since he mentioned that he has never seen this before, it tells me it's a bug.

    The only other suggestion I could suggest would be to put the language.

    Open a Word document. Click on the word > Preferences
    Under the Authoring & proofing tools, select spelling and grammar
    Click on the button dictionaries next unrolling of personal dictionary.
    Select a language (English or any other language you want to use)
    Click OK. Quit word.
    Restart Word
    Try adding a new Word to the dictionary.

    If this does not work...

    I suggest that you test in a new user. This will quickly tell you if the problem is system-wide or if your user folder that contains the problem.

    You can use the guest user or create a new user to test.

    CREATE A NEW USER

    Go to system-> Preferences, create a new user in users and groups.

    Switch to the new user by logging incoming/outgoing or use the fast user switching.

    By default only the applications Apple will be in the dock in the new user. Go to Applications to open Microsoft Word.

    You still see the issue?

    If Yes, then the problem is with your core files. (this would indicate a bug in Word)

    If not, then the problem is in your user folder.

    I would like to contribute to the dictionary that comes with FF. The default dictionary is not an add-on, its default in Firefox. If you want to propose words for the dictionary, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=499593 has a list of words that should be added.

  • Dictionary usually crashes when erasing search field

    If anyone else has noticed this?  When search terms using the dictionary and tapping on the field in the top right corner, by pressing the small 'X' to remove this field usually results in a crash of the dictionary.  This does not always happen, but I would say it is about 50-60% of the time.

    * This is not that big to have an affair, just a little annoying to re-launch dictionary all the time.  I usually get a dialog box error promising to send a report to Apple, but it takes 5-10 seconds to appear.

    * My Dictionary uses just the four standard: dictionary, thesaurus, dictionary Apple and Wikipedia.  I wonder if Wikipedia results which is the cause of the crash.

  • Can I install a UK English Dictionary in Windows Mail?

    original title: Windows Mail spelling

    What I can, and if so how I can, spelling dictionary English install a UK in Windows mail? The current default is American English and it's bugged me and my e-mail correspondents who never stop for me that I can't explain.

    Hello

    There is no download dictionary available from Microsoft for Windows mail, you can search online by using your favorite search engine for Windows Mail-compatible dictionaries.

    ·         French

    To access these language options concern the steps below

    (a) open Windows Mail

    (b) click on tools in the menu bar.

    (c) to select options in the menu drop-down.

    (d) now select the spelling and then tab click on languages, you will have a drop-down list where you can select the language.

  • Limit of words to the custom dictionary in Windows Live Mail?

    I discovered that the dictionary for Windows Live Mail cannot be changed in Live Mail (when you go to the Spelling tab in the Options dialog box on the Tools menu) if she has more than 69 words.  (He still work correctly in spell and you can still add words to him when the Spelling dialog box appears.)  It can be modified, for example to remove an error opening the file (C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\Proof\lang0409.lex) with a text editor.

    I am running Live Mail version 14.0.8089.0726 on Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit.  Is there a fix for this limit?

    Thank you.

    Yes, it was a known bug in version 14. It has been fixed in version 15.  I recommend that you upgrade to the latest Windows Live Mail:
    It will automatically import all your older data to Windows Live Mail.

  • Foreign key constraint, not recognized during the synchronization of data with the model dictionary

    Hello

    Data Modeler is a foreign key constraints do not recognize when synchronizing data with the model dictionary, although the foreign key is there (in the database that a data dictionary is read). I can't find any criterion when a foreign key is not recognized by the Data Modeler. Are there limits to the length of the attribute, or the number of columns in a foreign key, or other limitations which may lead to this behavior not to recognize a fk by Data Modeler? I have columns more than 32 characters. I compared with the fk is recognized by DM, but I can't find anything that indicates why it is not recognized.

    I wonder if someone also has constraints of foreign keys that are not recognized in the comparison of data bases and model?

    Thank you

  • Import data dictionary stored procedures

    It's the rewamp of an old archived thread:

    Re: import of data dictionary

    .. relevant even today with DataModeleter 4.1 (standalone) on Oracle 12 c: I seem not to be able to import any stored procedure / function of the well data dictionary that following the steps (see link) and reaching even to the summary confirming the detection of target objects:

    Capture.JPG

    However, at the time of the merger, previews DDL (to import/merge, no generation) says:

    -CREATE THE PROCEDURE0
    -CREATE FUNCTION0

    Am I missing a trivial step?

    THX

    Hello

    I think I know what is the cause of the problem.

    There is a bug in version 4.1 where different types of objects (including functions and stored procedures) do not appear in the tree view to compare if the property "include physical properties to compare the feature ' is not defined.

    So the solution is to ensure that this property is set.  It is on the Data Modeler > DOF > DDL/comparison of preferences page.

    This bug in the next version.

  • Distributed Transaction bug in 12 c Managed pilot?

    I posted previously in Oracle Services for MTS, but I think it's actually more relevant here.

    Attempts to open multiple connections in a result of the Transaction in ORA-12514

    Using a simple call to TransactionScope I was trying 2 different connections in a distributed transaction that provides a single point of success or failure for several operations of the self.

    From the second connection open, bang - ORA-12514, occurs a completely misleading mistake, but take the transaction out of the equation, and it does not, if something was clearly at stake.

    This morning, I put across the right code back to basics to add a simple test:

    using (var ts = new TransactionScope(TransactionScopeOption.RequiresNew, new TransactionOptions {IsolationLevel = IsolationLevel.ReadCommitted}, EnterpriseServicesInteropOption.Full)) {
       using (var oc1 = new OracleConnection(_connectionString)) {
             oc1
    .Open();

    using (var oc2 = new OracleConnection(_quartzString)) {
                oc2
    .Open();

    }

    }
    }

    The same issue has occurred.  Then I downloaded ILSpy to view the c# language for the Oracle driver, and that's where I noticed that connection pooling seemed to be at the heart of the issue, although she has not commented on it is pretty hard to follow exactly what is happening.

    From what I could tell, when a connection is opened it checks to see if a transaction is running and if so, consult a dictionary of connection strings based on the local identifier of the transaction.  What seems to be the problem, is that which is not allowing new connections being created and added, where it breaks down.  Then I re-tried the same test, but opened and closed the second connection outside the trial * before * creating the transaction like this:

    var oc3 = new OracleConnection (_connectionString);

    OC3. Open();

    OC3. Close();

    using ()var ts = new TransactionScopeTransactionScopeOption. (), RequiresNew , new TransactionOptions {IsolationLevel = IsolationLevel. } ReadCommitted { }, EnterpriseServicesInteropOption. Full )) {
    to ()var oc1 = new OracleConnection()_connectionString)) { }
    oc1
    . Open ();
    using (var oc2 = new OracleConnection(_quartzString)) {
    OC2. Open ();
    }
    }

    }

    and guess what - it works... so it looks like there is a problem with connection pooling.

    All my values for the connection are default usual bar (source of data, password) and user id.

    I do not specify a minimum pool size, etc..  I then tried to play with the attributes of the connection pool, but no cigar.

    Turns to me as if it was to see the connections available at the point of the transaction with the context begins registration of connections, but it's probably not good.

    Someone else had the same experience or a solution?  I was wondering if I'm going to pre-fill connections whenever I want to do a transaction... will try and enable tracing then so I can see the pilot done and why.

    You can use SERVICE_NAME instead of SID? If it works, it's confirmed it's the same bug (and you have a work around).

    In fact, I don't think that anyone outside the Oracle can see this particular bug. This bug was discovered in internal tests. These bugs are not publicly exposed as the vast majority occur in the pre-production software, which customers has access to.

    This bug has been recently fixed and merged into the main code line. I don't know that it will be picked up by ODAC R4 12 c due to the timing. However, it should be in an upcoming patch.

  • Synchronize the data dictionary

    Hello

    In the New/Select database connection I have defined JDBC tab as follows:

    JDBC URL: jdbc:sybase:Tds:10.0.1.4:2638? ServiceName = Hades & CHARSET = utf8

    Driver class: com.sybase.jdbc3.jdbc.SybDriver

    to connect to a Sybase SQL Anywhere database. This works as expected.

    In my original design, I have a few attributes/columns defined on the varchar data type (5000). Now, when I do not synchronize the dictionary of data (a table, for example), I get a difference on property > Data Type (in the dialog box compare models), although in my column a varchar data base (5000) data type. This works perfectly for varchar (255) and below.

    What could cause this behavior?

    Best regards

    Robert

    PS: In the dialog box properties from the table, field summarized, I see the report mentioned above.

    Hi Robert,.

    It seems that Import or synchronize using JDBC no matter the size of the column if it is greater than 4000.

    Thanks for reporting the problem.  I connected a bug on this issue.

    Kind regards

    David

  • 404 error when the lowest selection (column name) for the metadata 11 g dictionary

    Hi all

    I get a 404 error when I select a column name and click the link for dictionary of metadata. I get the 404 because obiee is allowing more 179 characters for the web link. You do not get a 404 error if you click on one of the shorter column names.

    When you select the number of offices with commands and then click the metadata dictionary button you get the error 404 below and the web address is truncated causing the 404

    If you type the ml at the end, you can see the Web page you want. Also if you click on the area in question and then click the dictionary of metadata and access the column from here the link works.

    We receive this error in our Dictionary of metadata generated, but I can also reproduce the problem with the sample app, we have placed the dictionary in the folder anlyticsRes.

    I just wanted to check to see if someone else has this problem.

    I opened a SR and a bug has already been reported, and the solution is in the latest patch.

    Solution

    The fix for the Bug 17449036

    is included in the bundle 20124371 Patch (patch bundle 11.1.1.7.150120). See this note for more information:

    Note 1488475.1: OBIEE 11 g: required and recommended patches and Patch Sets

    There is also a one-off Patch 17449036 on top of previous patch bundle for different platforms.
    It is advisable to be in the latest patch bundle. In this case, you prefer to apply exceptional measures, you can do but
    It is not for all platforms and all the patches together.

  • Synchronization of the comments of the column from the relational model to the data dictionary?

    I changed/added comments of column to a table in my relational model. When I try to sync the database data dictionary changes are never included the observations of the new column. In fact, I see that the values in the field 'Commentary in RDBMS' are different in the preview window to compare, but the line is not highlighted in red I guess that, in fact it is even dimmed. Also, I can not check the check box "selected".

    Is there a way to get comments to synchronize? I don't miss any option that I first? Is this a bug or an expected behavior?

    I use the version 4.0.3 x 64 of the Data Modeler.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Charlie

    Hi Charlie,

    but the line is not highlighted in red I guess that in fact it is grayed out even.

    "that means property is excluded from the comparison - the same dialog box click on tab -" Options > properties filters '-you can control the properties to include in compare it it is to say ' comment in RDBMS ' must be checked.

    Press the button "Refresh trees" after the properties are set correctly.
