  I have an iPad 2 which I updated yesterday to 9.3.  I had absolutely NO problem or problems at all.  Shortly after the installation of 9.3; Apple has released iOS 9.3.1. I installed that this morning, iPad works great - no problem.

  NOTES; Actually you install 9.3.1 if you decide to go ahead with the update.   9.3.1 will include 9.3

  I can understand your hesitation to install updates, as I was in the same boat, but everything worked.
