Difference between basic hierarchy and another hierarchy

Hi da,.
Can you please tell me what is the difference between the basic hierarchy and other hierarchy?
and are there other types from predetermined?

Thank you and best regards,
Sri.

Let's say you have a time dimension and there a hierarchy called 'year Total '.
It might look like the following:

Total year
-Q1 +.
-Jan +.
February-+.
-Mar +.
-T2 +.
-April +.
-Perhaps +.
June-+.
-T3 +.
July-+.
August-+.
Ms-+.
-T4 +.
Oct-+.
-Nov +.
Dec-+.

"Full year" is your basic hierarchy.

Now, suppose that you work for a chief financial officer who is very superstitious and believes that all the months that start with the letter 'J' are bad luck because he had a traumatic experience when he was a kid in July. Anyway, he wants to follow the activity during the months that begin with 'J' and asks you to create a hierarchy of alternative.

It would be like this

"Months of bad luck.
-Jan + (shared member)
-June + (members in common)
-Jul + (members in common)

If your alternative hierarchy consists of "shared" your basic hierarchy. It allows you to group members in another way ("alternate").

  • difference between total parant and parent total Wo?

    Hi experts.

What is the difference between total Parent and Parent total Wo in dimension of value? can you explain with a simple example.

    Your comments will be appreciated

    Thank you
    Sikora

    Hi Sikora,

Hope her below can help you.

Totals of parent: when you save data, financial management automatically calculates totals for the parents of members of the dimension hierarchy.

ex: If you enter and save data for members of the hotel and meals, a total is calculated for total expenditures of parent. ; the data here does not aggregate members of parent until the consolidation occurs.

Setting of the parent: if entities roll up to more than a parent, you can create parent setting. Adjustments of parent allows you to apply an adjustment to a child to a parent selected, rather than to all parents.

Parent settings are available only for the entities of parent for which the application AllowAdjFromchildren setting is selected.

    Thank you
    Kind regards

  • 8.5.1 LabVIEW Student Edition - differences between the Mac and Windows versions?

    Hello

I just bought the student of LabVIEW 8.5.1 version and I use Mac OS X 10.4.11. What are the biggest differences between the Mac and Windows versions, since the box came with a CD of installation of Mac and a Windows DVD Installer?

    See you soon

Looks like you got the LabVIEW Student Edition Software Suite DVD.

It comes with 6 boxes to tools, and the TME product, some (or all?) of those who are windows only (at least 8.5), for example:

    • Toolkit Digital Filter Design
    • Modulation Toolkit
    • SignalExpress
    • ...

Since you have 8.5, you are missing also a few basic things that only recevied at the 8.6MAC support, like Mathscript, Control design and Simulation and native 3D graphics.

I disabled designed in bios and Device Manager. What is the difference between secure mode and diagnosis?

Thanks in advance for any help

It was the capacitors on the motherboard that needed to change. It works fine now.

  • What is the difference between the stop and restart?

What is the difference between the stop and restart?  I feel that stopping closed all processes, completely erases RAM memory and clears the cache of the processor.  I need to know if 1) this is a correct assumption and 2) which is better for daily maintenance of the system.  Thank you in advance.

    Hello Jeremy_1976,

Your support when the judgment is correct. Basically, it stops the process and completely turns off your computer. Reboot, however, temporarily your PC stops, then turn it on again. This happens usually when Windows updates are installed. After installation, the system is restarted (rebooted) so that any update has been successfully installed and works as it should. You can be a little mixed upward the reboot and the hibernation. Reboot is, as I have indicated previously, basically a reboot of your machine. Ultimately, your PC is on again after a reboot. However, hibernation, stores all data currently in memory in a special file, then the PC turns off. When you then turn on your PC, that is, coming out of hibernation, hibernation files is used to restore the status of the PC than when you initially put into hibernation. In other words all the programs you had open before will automatically open and be ready to use hibernation.

Hibernation or sleep for that matter is for short-term use. It is normal in Hibernate, or sleep if you want to be away from your PC for half an hour or so. If you leave more than I suggest you stop completely.

A point to remember about hibernation is that, if you use put into hibernation, you can't, once you get out after hibernation, install programs or updates. You have to stop and restart normally to do.

  • What is the difference between Unicast RPF and Reverse Path Forwarding?

I am confused between Unicast RPF and Reverse Path Forwarding function.

What is the difference between Unicast RPF and Reverse Path Forwarding?

Because they have all two please check the address of the source of each package before sending it to the destination too?

Reverse Path Forwarding is used only when the network want to build a tree shared multicast communication and then we must use Unicast RPF after creation of the shared tree?

The mechanism of the RPF is mainly used to ensure no loop of routing traffic.

As you probably already read, it does by ensuring that his route to the source address of a packet received is accessible via the same interface that the packet is entered in the. Think of the notion of "root port" in STP. all root ports are similar to the root, sunflower follow the Sun. Therefore, it is naturally a loop prevention mechanism.

With multicast traffic, it is quite likely to create multiple loops of routing the nature of 'destination' traffic. For this reason, using a mechanism as the RPF to ensure you are on the "road to the root" (to say) to the source originating multicast traffic. Otherwise if you're not then you either receive this traffic route in a loop, or a suboptimal path.

uRPF works essentially the same way, except that it is done for unicast traffic instead. Now with unicast traffic your flow is from a source and directs to a single destination. Given that, as the fact that you are using a dynamic routing algorithm (which allows to select the path to a destination), you can have loops of your network for unicast traffic flow routing; of course there may be exceptions to pitfalls of configuration route redistribution.

However RPF when it is applied to traffic unicast can add another advantage, and it's verification IP source. That's why we can use it as a security mechanism to ensure that data are from where it is supposed to come.

On the limit of the L2, you then have mechanisms such as guard source IP to ensure that the correct host is not usurpation of their IP address.

By analogy RPF can be used for checking at source for multicast traffic, and it is intrinsically that however, the most important role is so that it can be used to guarantee without loop routing of multicast traffic.

I hope that helped clear things upwards and not confused you any more with all this.

  • difference between control flow and check knowledge module

    Hello

I know ckm and flow control. What is the main difference between the Frother and CKM?

CKM is the model of knowledge that ODI will use to check all the constraints you create.

Flow control is the way to a check constraint during the flow of an interface (it's way happens to you in your integration tables [temporary]). This method deletes the data of 'bad' and it will record in a table of $ E. Also, you have some option to recycle errors (next ODI run will try to reuse these data)

Static control is another way to check your constraints. This is static as its name suggests and is average, it will only count the errors, but it won't do anything with the data. It might happens in the source tables.

The most used method is the regulator of throughput with certainty, but static electricity has some advantages too.

For example, flow control has only a little when you check duplicate data. When he found it eliminated the two registry (or more if there are more). It's average, you get nothing in the end.

You can use the static control to check your sorce tables and create a process to eliminate or filter duplicate data, allowing only data duplicated to cross.

    Hope this can help you.

How a view and procedure may do the same thing?  They are two different things with different objectives.  You use the correct one depending on what you want to achieve; they are not interchangeable.

    And another question...!

    (Q) how you will store Japan, characters of China in a database table? will there be a new feature in Oracle 11 g?

    (A) I use dbms_lob package? Japan/China characters are multi byte characters... so we can use the nclob data type?

    is this correct... ?

No, it not there no novelty in Oracle 11 g for the storage of Japanese or Chinese characters, because there is already a feature for their storage in previous versions as well.  It is determined by the parameters characterset and nationality that you use when you create the database.

Why would you choose to store them in a LOB using DBMS_LOB?  Yes, they have multibyte characters, but if you have configured your database for the correct character sets, for example using UTF - 8, then you can store the characters in VARCHAR2, like any other language.  The only difference is that the storage of 4000 bytes limit still applies, so you maybe isn't able to store 4000 multibyte characters in a varchar2 column 4000 single-byte, it can be as little as 1000 characters if they are all characters in 4 bytes.  (Note: 12 c limit in SQL can be increased up to 32,767 characters, to harmonize it with variable varchar2 PL)

  • Difference between the App and Folio?

I have a monthly subscription for the professional edition of DPS, I'm not going to not to renew at the end of the month.

With this Professional Edition subscription, I released an app on the iTunes store.

My question is, once my Professional Edition subscription will expire, folios still will be fulfilled when customers download the application? I recently bought a package of 1000 folios, and so I would like those who would still be available for download even if the subscription has expired?

Once my subscription will expire, and sheets are all downloaded, I would like to re - publish the application with the basic creative cloud subscription.

    Is this possible?

As I understand it, I always use the App Builder to build the application InDesign (unique folio). I always use Apple Application Loader to download on the iTunes store. But once the app is in the iTunes Store can't make more changes, etc. and of course I don't have access to the dashboard of DPS and analytics. Its a one-time shot so to speak.

My other question is, since I downloaded the application built in InDesign, it has always considered a folio and there download limits with just the creative cloud subscription? I looked at other threads on this forum and don't understand the difference between an application and a folio - aren't the same thing?

I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Adobe Gold support, and no one could answer this question. With the professional edition, monthly subscription, you get 250 download per month - is there a limit of downloads per month which comes with the subscription of creative cloud (hope this question makes sense).

    Thank you!

Applications of several questions, you keep your subscription Professional Edition that we make so the questions. The app is just a shell that downloads questions. Readers to download the app on iTunes, but then must purchase / to subscribe/download individual sheets within that application. If you do not have an active account of Professional Edition then readers can download your app on iTunes, but will not be able to download any folios.

Single edition applications are applications with a single folio grouped inside. Once it is published on iTunes he lives right on iTunes. If you cancel your subscription creative cloud app still lives in iTunes and people can download and use it since the folio is included directly in the application.

There is no limit on Single Edition downloads because once you publish on iTunes they have nothing to do with Adobe. It's just an app in the store.

  • The difference between the groups and roles?

    Hi all

What is the difference between the groups and roles?

Thanks for your time and your help.

Oracle doesn't have anything called a 'group '.

A role is a named object that can contain a set of privileges. All members may be individual privileges or may be another role that contains its own set of privileges. Roles can then be granted to users (or other roles) so that the users (or roles) have the specified privileges.
