Difference between fully manage against the management of subsets

Hi there;

I am quite new to the data warehouse. When I read a comparison between OLTP and data warehouse systems, I saw the below:

OLTP data warehouse

Managed fully managed by subsets

What is? What is the context of the words 'entirely' and 'subset '?

Thanks in advance.

You will have to ask the guys who use them.

I have been in this business almos 35 years and have never heard these terms. They are not the standard industry terms.

TIMESTAMPDIFF function first determines the timestamp component that corresponds to the specified interval setting. For example, SQL_TSI_DAY corresponds to the day component and SQL_TSI_MONTH corresponds to the component "month".

If you want to display the difference between two dates in days using SQL_TSI_DAY, unlike butterflies SQL_TSI_MONTH and so on...

  • difference between roll back and the rollback segment.

What is the difference between reverse and cancel segemnt? they are an and even according to the change of version of oracle? Help, please

    Hello

The two become the same functionality, but in oracle 9i they did simplify, because if you use rollback segments, you need to put them online in init.ora, and you must take care of management of space etc..
so, they introduced in oracle 9i, tablespace undo you can creage undo segments and space management will take care of oracle managed files, so its reduced the load of s/n

  • What is the difference between a backup of the plant and a recovery disk?

For me a simple question, so I hope a simple answer.

When I got to my laptop that I created a USB using DBR recovery. It is a little more than 8 GB in size and is appointed SYSRECOVERY.

At that time there I didn't create a backup of the plant.

Having recently been read on things related to the re-establishment of a system in case of disk failure hard etc, I saw that Dell has said you must create USB recovery media and a backup of the plant. So, I got a new USB and today created a backup of the plant.

Looking at it, it is also called SYSRECOVERY and both have exactly the same list of files and folders and have almost the same size.

So just what is the difference between these 2 options (if any)?

Or do I now have 2 USBs that will do exactly the same work to restore my laptop computer provided that the factory?

Case there is no difference, why Dell offer both (and recommend you create both)?

    Thank you

Technically speaking a recovery media and backup of the plant are the same. But according to the post that you saw at Dell, recovery media is a backup of backup from the factory with the files and applications that you added later. Therefore, to be on the safe side, Dell recommends to create a backup of files and software that have been added later (or is not part of the default configuration).

The factory backup contains all drivers and software according to the configuration of the PC, and that were pre-installed on your computer.

Generally, Windows failure, you can use factory backup media to restore the PC without affecting your personal files and software. In the event of hard disk failure, where the hard drive is replaced, recovery media will be useful to restore Windows as well your files and applications.

  • Difference between two dates in the server behaviors

    Hello all,.

I am trying to create a Recordset by using server behaviors and that I'm not an expert in php, I'm completely lost...

The problem is this: I want to find in a table of all the records where the difference between today's date and date of creation (stored in this table, although course) is superior to, say 30 days. How can I specify the variable field?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

You must use a sql like query below:

    SELECT * FROM table WHERE creationDate< date_sub(now(),="" interval="" 30="">

'table' is the name of the table that you want to select the information of and 'creationDate' being the column 'date' in the database

clips on the otherhand are supposed to run independent of the main timeline. so you can have a timeline of the HAND with a single frame and inner movieclip animation will work constantly.

  • What is the difference between staging differ from the target

    Hello
My question is what is the diffrence between staging differ from the target and staging of the same target area.

    To say:
I'm loading the data from the file to the database table. Usually what happens is it will create temporary tables C$, I$, $ E. C$ table removes the information in the previous table and
Create a new table, and then load the data staging I and then E$ for the error checking. So the question is if I select the option staged are same as target in this
case if load us the data from the target moves or otherwise, to where the data is intended.

    Help me in this...
    THX,

If you set a different transit area of target, and if the scheme of work is on one physical server other than your target schema, you will have more stages.

I recommend your to create your interface twice and compare the generated steps by exploiting.

In the first case (staging = target), the interface will do:
    * create and load C$ table in the schema of work related to your target schema
    * create and I charge $ table in the schema of work related to your target schema
    * load data since I have$ for the target table

In the second case (different staging of target, and if the scheme of work is located on another server), you will have more steps ("export them")
    * create and load C$ table in the schema of work related to your "staging schema" you chose
    * create an ANOTHER C$ target table in the schema of work related to your schema. load of the first table of C$
    * create and I charge $ table in the schema of work related to your target schema
    * load data since I have$ for the target table

In some cases, you must use "another area gathering that target." For example, your target is a flat file. (you cannot use the staging area of the technology of files, so you will choose a database schema)

  • What is the difference between cancel management & conservation undo?

    Hi all

    Undo_management = auto - means he will
    UNDO_RETENTION = 900 - that's what to do?

    Mahesh M says:
    Hello

Thanks for your information. If the copy of the image before time given is over, I want to say undo_retention exceeds what will happen?
If the data will be deleted or what. ? Alternatively, the uncommitted data stored so permanently in storage space?

Your statement doesn't really make sense. You must understand the reason for Oracle to introduce the Undo_Retention parameter - to remove (or try) 1555 error. This setting will not enter into action if your transaction is always an active transaction because this, no matter what, Oracle to keep the space allocated to store its intact cancellation and it won't be given to anyone else at all. But this does not mean that there will be a permanent while there in the Undo tablespace. This space, which is reserved for your Undo data will be kept as long as the transaction is alive. Once more, that all space is marked as outdated and can be used by another transaction. That's where conservation undo comes into play that he would keep the Undo data for your transaction inactive (read it as committed ) for the time period indicated. But even this setting brings no guarantee that space will be not deleted. If there is a pressure of space, even the retention is defined, the undo data would be deleted.

  • Difference between manually manage photo library

First of all, this is a workflow that I am creating and need help.

First of all, I import a batch of photos from my computer. I then tags that will affect each photo in a smart album.

A smart album, I'd like to have is 'Remove the Photo from Computer' - these are all the images that are just unusable for me for some reason any.

Once I have this list, I would use the 'show referenced file in finder' so that I can get quickly the originals appear and I can remove it at once.

I find, however, that the 'file referenced in the finder show' is greyed. After some research I think it's because I'm importing photos vs manually manage my photo library. The article I am referencing is here: http://osxdaily.com/2015/04/22/show-original-file-from-photos-app-mac-finder-osx /

Then it brings to my question on how to manually manage vs import since it is a function without a doubt, I would like to take.

If "Show file referenced in the finder" is greyed out, you have imported as successful photos. Control you this by ticking the 'Copy the items in the photo library' in Photos > Preferences > General.

The difference on these Help Pages:

    https://help.Apple.com/photos/Mac/1.0/?lang=en#/pht12e7a8015

    https://help.Apple.com/photos/Mac/1.0/?lang=en#/pht1ed9b966d

You need not reveal originals in the Finder to remove imported however photos. Just select all the photos in your smart album, then use the key combination command + DELETE ⌘⌫. All the selected photos will be removed from the library and moved to the recently deleted album, whee you deleted them eventually. Thus, the original images will be deleted. Only if you use referenced files, with the original stored outside the library of Photos, you need to delete the originals separately.

  • What is the difference between this forum and the forum of mosc?

If you are MOS, then it is easy to get directed to the whole of the MOSC forums. What is the difference? Almost accidentally, I posted a question

in mosc. The problem is that I have done in the past and got spammed into oblivion with my e-mail address of work for years. I can't tell how

You can tell whether those email address will reveal or not. Never again! But anyway why 2 sets of for one?

I can't speak for all spam you may or may not have been given, but I can briefly describe the difference.

Communities of MOS (MyOracleSupport) is mainly controlled by the members of the Support of Oracle (and other Oracle employees) and customers. Access by the employees is reserved for customers with access to Support (MOS). Thus, when you publish in MOSC responses usually come to an employee of Oracle or a paying customer of Oracle.

The OTN Forum is open to the public. The feedback you get here, from someone like me (an Oracle Product Manager) or any employee of Oracle, Oracle customers, previous clients Oracle, students, teachers, consultants, people who like to just help with technical questions, people wanting to be malicious and lawyers. We are trying to stop the last two as quickly as possible.

Just for the record, I watch the two Forums, but I focus more on this external one. If my input is necessary to MOSC, one of the support team will be usually contact me and ask me to comment if I missed something.

My hope is that by focusing my attention on this external forum, I can better gasoline which uses the product, which is new to the product, which versions are used, what features are more desirable, and what problems are most often. It also gives me the opportunity to propose corrections to erroneous information and rumors.

Related, but as my comment about "..." problems often encountered... ", as a result of the feedback mentioned in our last poll, I'll make a mini session at OOW14 (at the booth of DemoGround forms - time TBD soon) which will cover the WebUtil configuration. In this informal session of 30 minutes, I'll show how quickly and easily WebUtil can be activated and form WebUtil demo in minutes. There will be some other mini-sessions, but I thought that you would be interested in it. Details coming soon...
