Difference between nio-file manager and nio-memory-manager

Hello
What is the difference between nio-file manager and memory manager Ian? The documentation is not really discuss the differences as far as I know. They all use two nio to store files mapped into memory Don't they? What are the advantages/disadvantages of both?

When to choose the first and when the second during the storage of a large amount of data? Can be used to query data with the filter API? Are there any size limits on both?

Best regards
Jan

Hi Jan,

The difference is that one uses a memory-mapped file and used memory direct nio (as part of the memory allocated by the JVM process) to store data. Both allow data cached out-of-heap storage, which can store more data with a knot of unique cache (FMV) without long GC pauses.
If you use a 32-bit JAVA virtual machine, JVM process will be limited to a total of ~ 3 on Windows and 4 GB on Linux/Solaris. This includes lots and out of the stack of memory allocation.

Regarding the size of the limitations for the Manager of files-Ian, please see the doc the following for more information.
With version 3.5, now is the idea of a Partitioned card support that allows to create more large (up to 8 GB of capacity) for storage of nio. Please refer to the following, doc.

Both can be used to query the data, but it is worth noting that the index will be stored in the heap.

HTH,
-Dave

  • VCP exam question - the difference between the file exchange and the swap partition?

I am currently a student at my VCP and stumbled upon a question and was hoping someone could explain the answer offered.  Essentially the question is asking why you must manually create a local VMFS volume.  The possible answers were: files of storage for the service console log, decentralized storage for all the vmkernel vmkernel swap activity Exchange files for virtual machines that are configured locally and swap files from service console for the console service RAM overcommitment.

It is my understanding that the swap partition has its own format.  When you create the necessary partitions for installing ESX format the swap partition is 'swap', not vmfs or ext - 3.  Then, because the last three options are to swap/activity files, I chose the first choice, storage for the service console logs.  This study guide says I'm wrong and the answer is VMKernel swap files for virtual machines that are configured locally.   Of course, Miss me something here...

How you store Exchange files on VMFS partition?  I thought that the swap partition is the only place to have to Exchange files, and then it is on its own partition.  You cannot store a partition on a partition.

Maybe it's the difference between a swap file and a swap partition which is tripping me?

Search for, swap space as it is usually is a place to store a replica of memory the system for the purpose of managing memory better (usually data that are accessed most often).

SWAP PARTITION is now, for the ESX SWAP space.

And the EXCHANGE FILE is for some particular VM swap space that can be used by the guest operating system. The use of this file is managed by VMkernel. Now, this swap file has some different features from the windows of i.e normal swap, linux or ESX swap space space.

Are these test questions? Well, in the hope that in fact 949936 instead has a strong sense of the investigation, here goes:

In my opinion, pagefile size is always greater than the index file. It is Scripture?
If the size of the Index file is larger than the pagefile so that it happened? If the size of the index file is larger that the pagefile is then write?

^ ^ ^ Generally the. IND index, or the files are smaller than the. PAG page file (s). However, there is a minimum eight megabytes index file size. If clearly on a BSO your database and send a single number (which equals one block), you will have a. IND, quite a bit larger than the. PAG.

For example, I have cleared out the good old Sample.Basic and then sent the number "5" in the "New York"-> "Cola"-> "sales"-> "Jan"-> "real." This resulted in a. The IND of 8 216 576 bytes, and a file size. PAG 149 bytes file size.

If I deleted the page file, then it is assigned to the index file?

^ ^ ^ Are you sure this isn't some kind of certification exam? Do you mean that you went down to the BONE and deleted the file? Irretrievably corrupted, the database is what will happen. If you want to clear data, I guess it depends on how you do it. Send to a #Missing 5 has increased the size of the. PAG 149 to 229 bytes file. My guess is that doing so forced the overhead on Essbase. There is no impact on the. File of the IND in this context.

If I deleted some data block of the pagefile, then how is affects the index file?

^ ^ ^ If you delete data into Essbase (whether through the above method which clears completely a block or CLEARDATA command) and then force a restructuring by MaxL or EAS, if the number of blocks have been reduced enough to cross this limit of eight megabytes, you should see the. IND file size down. I see usually do this all the time with backup processes every night that have a component of restructuring for them.

I hope that answers your questions. You can watch the SER60 that there is a fairly comprehensive review of storage BSO which are.

    Salvation;

    LockFile

Sets the path to the lock file used when Oracle HTTP Server is compiled with USE_FCNTL_SERIALIZED_ACCEPT or USE_FLOCK_SERIALIZED_ACCEPT. It is recommended that the default value be used. The main reason for changing it is if the logs directory is NFS mounted, since the lock file must be stored on a local disk.

We then plugged a cDAQ-9178 in the fifth cRIO and everything just worked.

What is the difference between a cDAQ-9174 and cDAQ-9178 other than the number of the module support?

    Paul

    Hi Paul,.

It seems it could be a driver problem! What DAQmx version you have installed on two computers? Reinstall the latest version may be worth it because it looks like there may be corruption. You can find the latest version here: http://www.ni.com/download/ni-daqmx-15.5/5901/en/

You can manually associate the device driver, here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/5B80CAAA64413B4C86256C5E0000C1A7

There are modules connected to the cDAQ chassis?

Also, sometimes, this can happen if you do not restart your computer after the installation of the NOR-DAQmx driver. Restart your computer after the driver installation will allow you to reserve the device successfully. Here are a few others not to try:

    • Check the charger to device OR to see if it is running

    • Reset the service OR charger

    • Reset the MAX Configuration database

    • The system power cycle

What is the difference between HP Photo Creations and Snapfish?

Hi Jeff17866. The difference between these two services are the location, accessibility and share-ability of the recorded images. Snapfish is a photo on the web edition and sharing and belonged to printing HP service. You upload your images on the Snapfish site and share with other sites (Facebook, Flickr, etc) by selecting the appropriate options. The images are then stored on the cloud, and you will be able to access it from any device with Internet access. So, if you want to easily share your photos with your friends and family around the country, Snapfish is a great tool to do. HP Photo Creations is a photo editing software that you download to your desktop. You can edit your photos and order prints just as with Snapfish, but all pictures remain on your hard drive. They can be shared by downloading files on the sites you want the images appear, but you are not able to access it on other devices. -Chauntain

    Hello

the BindingContext represents the DataBindings.cpx file execution and is a record of BindingContainers and their mapping pages and views. In addition it contains information about the data used by an application controls. The link container is the representation of the execution of the file PageDef and gives you access to the collections, methods, and attributes of the data used by a page or view. Context binding is a house while the link container is a piece in.

  • Difference between Esx v 2 and 3 and ESX 2.5 and 3.5

    Hello

I want to know the differences between ESX V.2 and 3 and ESX 2.5 and 3.5. can someone help me on respect.

    Karthik.

    Hello

The biggest difference between ESX 2.x and 3.x is how the virtualization of the boots as well as configurations of network virtual host.

In ESX 2.x booted Linux then VMware took control.

In ESX 3.x VMware started then place the unit of management within a virtual machine started.

ESXi boots the vmkernel then starts a Posix environment in the vmkernel.

The book of VMware ESX Server in the enterprise passes over these differences in a bit of detail, if you are interested.

  • The difference between the admin directory and directory patch?

    What is the difference between $< PRODUCT_TOP >/admin/sql and $< PRODUCT_TOP > / 115/patch/sql

I looked at a number of packages on my system, and they seem to be constructed from its location *.pls in my $< PRODUCT_TOP > / patch/115/directory sql

However it is normally also have a file with the same name in $< PRODUCT_TOP >/admin/sql, but it generally has a different version number (in my case, I found some files in it that have a version number that is greater than what is in the directory of 115/patch/sql)

    Thank you

My understanding is that the product admin directory using automatic upgrade as part of an upgrade?

    Fix.

    Q. Since Auto Upgrade is involved, I guess that means say 11i upgrade for R12 (what was once a migration) rather than what would be a Pack of updates to version (which is formerly a Maintenance release) for example 11.5.10.2?

I would say that it is applicable to all the patches that update APPL_TOP, so it applies to the outermost Regions and the Maintenance Pack patches but not an 11i to R12 as a new APPL_TOP upgrade is created in this case (unless you are referring to the new APPL_TOP).

    Q. the patch product_top directory holds transferred files in to adpatch?

    Yes.

If he holds only the latest version provided by the various patches that have been applied to this top product?

    Yes.

Q: why would the product_top directory admin hold files with version numbers higher than that which is in the product_top patch?

Can you give an example for this?

    Thank you

  • Difference between crsctl start crs and crsctl start cluster

    Bytes

    Hello

'crsctl start crs' and new setting on 11.2 "crsctl start cluster" both have the same result?

We can say not having the same result.

crsctl power crs - manage start/stop the entire stack of Oracle Clusterware on one node, including the OHASD process, this command should be used only on the local node.

crsctl power cluster - managing start/stop battery Oracle Clusterware on the local node if you do not specify either - all or n and the remote nodes if option-n or - all be specified, NOT including the OHASD process. You cannot start and stop clusterware stack without running OHASD process.

Despite crsctl power crs manage all Oracle Clusterware stack on the local node crsctl power crs not allow you to manage the remote nodes, unlike crsctl power cluster which allows to manage all nodes, but if the process of KARINE is runing.

To manage Oracle Clusterware battery on remote nodes, the ohasd (Oracle high availability Services Daemon) should run on all managed nodes. (ie using crsctl start cluster - n , )

So, if you try use crsctl start cluster node1 - n, node2 and node1 your local node and node1 or node2 OHASD don't not running this command will be fails.

  • How can I compare the differences between two files After Effects?

I have a major problem.  I was working on special effects for a film.  In After Effects, when I change siggificant, I often have to register under and create a new name so I can go back to the old work if necessary.  It comes in a case, I have come back from earlier works.  If I use these two files After Effects allows you to create multiple clips of effects.  And I do not remember just where you look at it, it is better.  Does anyone know a good way to compare the differences between the files?

One thing to keep this conversation on the right way: I know that I did a stupid thing.  I've never done this before so can we please not spend a lot of time on how to avoid this problem and stick to how we solve this problem?

If you encounter difficulties to identify differences in the old and new versions, you can use this procedure:

To avoid confusion, I'll call your former company and your most recent compositions CompB comps.

CompA drag "New Comp" icon in the project window.  This will create a new temporary layout that contains the nested CompA.

Drag in your new COMP CompB temporary ensure it aligns image for image with CompA.

Place the top layer (CompB) difference.

Now, when you play through the comp, you'll see differences in color at a time where the comparison and CompB are not identical.

  • Is there a difference between fx. the FX3800 and GTX 260 Nvidia?

Does someone understand why I got frustrated and confused about all the discussions of this video card?

Some said that the FX3800 is a stabillity of card - more pro - etc better than the cheap cards - as the GTX 260/285/295 - and some told me that GTX 260 = FX3800. I read on other pages about how people have problems with their GTX 260, recognized as a FX 3800 (not in the body, but by the Nvidia software). Other places recounts how softmod GTX 260 for a FX 3800. Some told me that there is a big difference between these cards - others they look almost - same GPU etc. I read that the difference between the GTX 260 and FX 3800 is just the look of it from the outside - inside, they are confused - and that apart from that only drivers are different.

I ordered the FX 3800 - believing that he will be more powerful and more stable and give me really good read made domestic PPro CS5 compared to my GTX 260. If I get the same performance and stability by changing just two lines in a text file with my old GTX 260, I feel betrayed... I hope that this does not occur.

A person from Adobe or Nvidida - please tell us - than there is a differnece between fx. the GTX 260 and the FX 3800 outside appearance and some drivers? If there is no difference between them - I see no other reason to support only the FX cards only $$$... If there is a difference in favour of Quadra/FX - and I hope sincerely - I understand why you choose cards Quadro - but if they are just as good inside - I just feel we have all been misled. I could have saved my money... time will tell - I get the FX 3800 in a few days... can´t send it (rules Danish when you buy as a company) - so I m $ 1000 this month...:)

I would feel much more comfortable in having ordered the FX 3800 if someone from Adobe could me excactly how much better FX 3800 comes from the GTX 260 - outside to be supported and is not the GTX. And if there is more in it just to change a simple text file? Are there several things happening inside the body - deep inside - that is affecting the performance with FX cards in addition to two lines in a text file? Who can help to answer this question - and I mean, really, to respond in a serious way - not just say - of course the FX is better - because her expenssive more.

Haven´t we all have experience in other situations? Like buying a car? FX. inside the SKODA FABIA is a VW engine like those used in the much more expensive VW cars. Only difference is the name and appearance - and some comfort. The engine is the same - and in a way, we could say that a motor-point-of-view - the cars are similar. But you pay for the convenience.

The same thing is happening here? I pay more for FX 3800 for some software drivers, which makes it more stable - and the look of it from the outside, but inside, it's just like the GTX 260?
