• I create a logo for a company, but I'm new to illustrator and don't know what type of file to give them for their personal use if themselves don't have Illustrator to work with

  So I designed a logo for a company, they want to buy too! I don't know what type of file to send to them for their personal use. I am new to illustrator, so I'm not sure whether it should be a .png, .pdf or .svg. They don't have access to Illustrator, so they would not be able to view the native .ai file, how can I send the file?

  Whenever I have provide a customer with a logo, my first question that would be what they are they who need for?

  And when you have the response from them, it will give you a good idea of what to provide.

  Second to that I will always create a logo set to compile something like the following:

  1. Original .ai logo - RGB/CMYK/Black/White versions
  2. A set of PNG with transparent backgrounds of different sizes (something like 100px, 250px, 500px, 1000px wide)
  3. A set of .jpg in various sizes (something like 100px, 250px, 500px, 1000px wide)
  4. And now a .svg and .pdf file

  Once again it all depends on what the customer wants it, but once you have furnished with everything that they are able to use it for the most part.

• iPad 2 Mini - Lcd shows the Apple logo for 2 seconds and disappears but reloading works when I plug in the charger.

  The title should cover everything about what I'm going to tell you.

  The screen is black, while the iPad is running when I plug it into my mac, I see all my data and I can hear the sound of my messages/screenshot or screen when charging.

  NVM, I found the cause of this. This is a backlight problem. Apparently the filter or the fuse has been damaged and needs to be replaced... another $ 40 on the iPad repair...

• Help - my p6142p stopped at the HP logo for a long time...

  Has started last night, my HP p6142p landed on the screen of the HP logo for about 15 minutes before he proceeded to the Nvidia Raid control and continuation to Windows7.

  There is no hardware / software changed.

  I had disabled the HP logo screen once I'm in the Bios setting and reloaded the default bios setting but the same result.  He detected cpu, ram, hd and usb then deadlock (10-15 minutes), before continuing.

  I thought of it and the cause was my Espon all-in-one, for some reason, the reader on the printer did not cause the USB mass storage device error in card device manager.

  I had not plugged and and reset my printer and my pc boot normally again.

  Acrobat 7 is not compatible with Windows 7, so it's difficult to judge how the application on an incompatible environment will behave.

  Photoshop uses color profiles to accurately describe the color of the image. Most of the web browsers don't. Most likely, you had a color profile saved with your logo, and it is ignored by the browser. Make sure that you change the sRGB color profile. You can do it in the save for web feature, which is now under the export option in the main menu under file.

I save my images of logo for my video as transparent PNG at 72 DPI (because I read an article that said that 72 DPI was good) in Illustrator for my first-edited videos, but they seem to be pixelated.   For video, you need to rasterize any vector art. While we can leave PrPro do this, or can use HAVE, I find that the best workflow is to use Photoshop for this step - the pixelation. PNG should work fine, but I like to keep things in the native format of the PS, PSD. Until CS 5 and later, I also scale all Images in PS to match what I need.

  Can someone tell me a good "rule" in the design of a logo for someone who does not know what size they want to use this logo in the future? If they do not know what print size they can (business card size or more big sign) - what size is the best to give them AND if they don't know what web size they need, what size is good to give them where they have room to resize? What format is best, I? or pdf?

  This is especially a concern if the logo is done in Photoshop. Any suggestions on standard dimensioning or normal practice in this case? Thanks in advance - K-

  In general, I would like to put the logo to any size that fits on a format sheet paper letter so that the customer can easily print on almost any printer of office as is. If you are an Illustrator *.ai or EPS file without linked or embedded, bitmap images then you don't need to worry about the final size in its various applications, as it will scale without loss of resolution. It can be used for a business card or a billboard.

  If this is done in Photoshop, then you can start with a master file which is enough PPP resolution larger size of the logo of the application. Then, you or the customer can downsample from there. (But since we are in an Illustrator forum and not a forum for Photoshop, I'll show my prejudices Illustrator here and recommend that you use Illustrator for logo if possible work ;-)

  Always handy to give a customer a PDF and JPEG version in addition to .ai or .eps files in case they do not have a Postscript printer or Illustrator.

  Others may have standard practices to suggest.

  Hi, I'm working on a Flash model, which is a large file, .fla that contains all of the site.  I have a friend who wants to customize the logo for me (adds a little animation, etc.).  The problem is, I don't want to give it my all .fla file.  Is there a way I can just send him the symbols that match my logo and it works on these alone?  There is no need to start from scratch, because the text is already there - he just needs to add things, like a background and an animation or two.

  So is it possible to export my logo symbols to him that he can change and then come back to me?  I really want to give him (or someone) the entire .fla file...

  Simply copy the symbols in the library of another empty file and send that to your designer.

  About six months ago, we changed the podcast hosting companies and changed our logo.  But we kept our RSS feed we have therefore kept our subscribers.  When you search for our new name, our podcast comes to the top, but with the old logo.  When you subscribe, the new logo is displayed in your personal library.  How can I get the iTunes store to reflect the new logo?  Of course, there is more than 24 hours since a update lol.

  Reading the forums I realized that I can have my CC applications installed on two different computers as long as they do not work at the same time. I currently have two companies - a LLC for design clients and an individual company for freelance illustration. Both are owned by me and I am the only employee, they are separate entities just for legal purposes. If I was to buy a license only and installed on my workstation in my studio and then again in my home office would that violate the terms of service? It seems a bit gray, because it's me, a single user, use it, but for two separate companies.

  If the subscription is for you so that you can install the software on two computers.  You will find more details in the EULA of creative cloud available at http://www.adobe.com/legal/licenses-terms.html#services.  In particular, I would recommend looking at the section 2.1.3.
