Microsoft use call centers India to pay for software that is supposed to have stopped working?
Fake phone calls to technical support
Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.
Please see:

I have Acrobat 9.5 and when I try to create > pdf from a scanner, it shows an error "Adobe acrobat has stopped working". Is it possible that I can use this feature?
Providing you have Acrobat 9 installed in an operating system for which Acrobat 9 is compatible then you can use the feature.
So, you need a scanner connected, turned on, and the software installed. Acrobat 9 "prefer" TWAIN drivers.
Always visit the site of the provider of the Analyzer and download - install the latest version of the greatest software.
n.b., The Acrobat 9.x product family moved in the middle of the "End of Support" year 2013.
Thus, the family of products Acrobat 9.x is not compatible with contemporary operating systems.
Be well...

Receive phone calls from Microsoft Technical Support. Is it a scam?
I continue to receive phone calls, saying they are Microsoft technical support they said that I have problems with my computer and press the windows button and r to pick up errors in the event they then gave me a code to seek this place which grew up mistakes they said then that they would pass me to a technician who would delete these for me and to speed up my compy before it crashed .i their said that I was on my way while they ring back later I'm good at persuming this is a scam and could they have already gotten access to my computer
If the scammers already accessed your computer depends on if you gave them access to your computer.
Suggest you read the following:

If they call back tell the caller that you have contacted the police.

I use microsoft picture it, version 2000. This software has been a recurring problem, first of all just slow down my computer when saving a photo, now not even open. I have over 3000 photos saved in this version. What should I do, Ken
FWIW... MS Picture It! 2000 is an obsolete program and will continue to cause problems, even if you manage to find a way to run it. If you have the original install CD... It may be interesting to try to uninstall/reinstall the program, but there may be problems if you are running Internet Explorer 7 or 8. You can also try running them in Compatibility Mode for Windows 2000.
I would certainly create a system restore point before uninstall/install any software.
I can only imagine that you have saved your pictures to .mix format which is not compatible with other image editing software.
IMHO... your best bet for the future would be to convert the .mix in .jpg or .png format files so they would be compatible with current image editing software.
There is always a trial of 60 days of MS, Digital Image Suite 2006 download. This software will be compatible with your .mix files and using the MiniLab you can batch convert them in .jpg format. (the number of files that you can convert at any given time will depend on your system resources I'm guessing 50 might be a place to start)
(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)

If they are single image files created in
MS Picture It! and aren't projects in layers...
(pages album, greeting cards, collages, etc.)
the following information should be helpful to you:The evaluation version of PolyView may allow
lot to reformat your bigger .mix files

recorded in and open the drop window and

Choose your JPEG Format 'Destination '.

Photoshop opens not because of the "licensing has stopped working for this product."
I bought Photoshop CS3 years there, like a box, not a download (probably about 6 years). He had worked like a charm, but the other day it does not open and gives me a message that "licensing has stopped working for this product. Anyone has any ideas on how to get this working again?

I can't use my PS CS4 because it seems that licensing has stopped working. I restarted the Mac several times, but this error seems to persist.
This is a very common mistake with CS4. This means that the licensing is broken. For people not really be aware of Terminal, my best answer is to suggest a new installation of your disks to solve this problem. You need to reapply the updates.
From the help > part update does not work well, to download and install your updates (Photoshop, Bridge, Adobe Camera Raw) from here, product updates.
This happens usually when Photoshop is moved to another computer, from a backup as Time Machine, or even OSX Upgrade to Yosemite.

received a call from foreign voice asking me to let him access my computer, said that it was for my call from Microsoft. Wanted to help me with my problem.
First I called Microsoft and don't think that they work this way. Also, this same thing happens to my friend here in Idaho a couple of weeks. Is this a scam going around and if it is why didn't Microsoft addressed the issue in a public way?

Hi there, hope someone can help me on this issue.
I received several calls from a company called 'eprotectionz' technical department which proposes to rid your computer of an "infection" (no virus) apparently slowing down Windows. In a first time, I finished the callwhen they began to ask questions about my computer. They are appatently a global company - I am based in Australia and on checking their site, they operate out of the Australia and other countries. Their phone number here in Aust is 02-8091-0114. This company is legitimate. I become more suspicious when they ask to enter my computer remotely while I followed the instructions to remove the so-called infection. I don't trust everybody these days and trust no one! What do you think?? Thanks in advance,
Australia. Take a look at this, mate.

I received a call from the
saying that they would help my dose of my windows problems. Is it a scam? Hello
They are cold, you try to pick up the 'business' calling
It's a scam.
Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.
You are the only person who knows if you gave them remote access.
If you gave them remote access and you do Internet banking, contact your bank, to explain, and change passwords.
If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.
And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
And Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.
There is an article in the link I'm you provide at the end of this one
Read this Information from Microsoft:
"Avoid scams to phone for tech support.

Don't be fooled of unsolicited calls. Don't provide personal information.
Here are some of the organizations that cyber criminals claim to come:

Call from Microsoft Security, is it a scam?
I got a call from "Microsoft Security", informing that my computer has been hacked and tried to get me a "pin" entry that they would provide. When I wondered where they were on they notify that they were "security for Microsoft" I didn't responded and asked a phone number back to them. The number is 253-220-7222, but I was not called again.
I suspect that it was a scam. Do you have any advice?
