• Passing Variables to A4 Flash user

  Hi all

  I searched online for many times and have made many attempts, using Flash and Captivate 4, but I had NO chance, and I'm challenging my brain on it. It is a big project at work and I really need help I can get.

  I need to access my USER Captivate variable created from a Flash animations. I tried to use Javascript, but I get an error in Flash due to global settings. With thousands of employees, these settings are not an option.

  What I am trying to do is run a random function in AS2 (which works fine) and then pass the result of Flash to Captivate. Each path that I tried (_root. NombrAl, parent. NombrAl, _root.movie.Randomnumber, etc.) did not work and I can't seem to understand what Miss me.

  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much!

  P.S. I'm still a user AS2 and have not yet learned AS3. I have no longer works in this all day and have not had the chance. I'm sorry.

  If you try to pass regular values of Flash, then it should be fairly simple as well.

  I just want to be sure - you have a Flash Animation inserted into a Captivate slide and you wan't to have this animation 'send' some data to Captivate right?

  If Yes, then all that should be required is to create a userdefined in Captivate variable - for example v_myVariable. Flash, you use _root.v_myVariable = valueFromFlash.

  This really should be all. You must create the variable defined by the user in Captivate first well. Flash can not it creates for you. You can also try and assign a default value to the variable in Captivate (v_myVariable = 0) while you are sure that the variable of Captivate is reported correctly.

  It is not really an 'upgrade' for this. They are two completely different products.

  If you are a subscriber to creative cloud, you already have access to both. If you are a subscriber of Photoshop or photography, you'll need to subscribe to Illustrator separately.

  The XML in Flash class has multiple ways to send data to pages of script on the server side. . Send(),. sendAndLoad(), etc..

  If you want the data sent in the form of XML object and not as a pair key/value as a form post, check if you set the contentType to "text/XML" before using the send() or sendAndLoad() controls.

  Read the XML code directly in ASP will require you to use the Request object.

  Set xml_dom = Server.CreateObject ("MSXML2. DOMDocument')
  xml_dom. Load (request)

• InDesign / Illustrator "flashes".

  When you open InDesign or Illustrator, the splash screen just flashing black and white (blinking). The drop down menus are not accessible. When I open a file (outside of these programs, since I can't interact with programs while no file is open), the mouse pointer flashes and I can't interact with the menus or panels.

  Photoshop is the only other CC application I had installed and it works fine.
  I installed on another computer in the office with this same user CC and it's all very well working there.

  The computer (laptop) with the question here a DELL VOSTRO with Windows 10 x 64 Professional

  8 GB RAM
  Intel HD Graphics (integrated) and Radeon HD 7670 M (all drivers up to date)

  Just got a cat of Adobe help.
  The issues are fixed for now. What they recommend that I do, it was to Ctrl + K, while on AI and ID and on the tab General Preferences-> uncheck "show beginning work space when no document is open.
  The thing strange (but very good), is that it also corrected the problem so that a file is open.
  If something new that comes, I'll post here.

  Can someone tell me how to disable the icon doc bouncing on Illustrator CC? (OS X)

  I work with large files that can take a long time to save and that while they are save I get with the other stuff (if a webpage takes more than 5 seconds to load another tab is opened with another opening of web page, I'm busy and I don't wait!).
  But whereas before I could leave Illustrator to merrily save my file confident he'd know what he does, he feels now that he had to repeatedly bounce icon doc just to make sure I had not forgotten that it was saving a file... It is true that my memory isn't the best but I have never forgotten that I was saving a file while doing something else!

  I was not able to find the preference to disable "Recalling a limited attention span" so anyone else can help me please find or has this been added as a mandatory 'mind the step' sign, for people who probably shouldn't be allowed to unattended?

  Don't believe that you can change a wait time that the icon is supposed to bounce an application needs your attention. You can disable the bouncing icon according to the instructions here, http://www.switchingtomac.com/tutorials/how-to-permanently-stop-dock-icons-from-bouncing/.

• need help to pass parameters to the Flash

  I'm pretty new to Flash and tried to solve this problem in the past few hours.

  What I want to do is to pass parameters from the browser to Flash.  I googled and it seems that the best way is FlashVars.

  However, I tried different codes and can not get Flash to detect settings.

  I decided to follow the example here and just copy and paste everything (just change the "main.swf" in my swf name):

  This happened to me when I installed Flash 9 or so, don't really remember not annymore.
  but when I try to watch the movies now, I see a vague square around each moving object (I Gomes you call "icons").
  annyway, this kind of removes the sweetness of the flash, the place is usually stick a little lighter than the background, it's.

• Great animation, flash cs is not playing easy

  It's the flowers, leaves and the trees moving with the wind in a 1920 x 1080 image, with a speed of 25 frames per second.

  I saw the animation. It must be how it is, and it's a very demanding animation. The 6 MB FLA exports to more than 8 MB SWF, there as many curves in it!

  What I suggested is to use the FLVPlayback component to play a mp4 animation version. It works very well.

  Hey everybody. I was wondering if someone could help me. I use as2 to pass a variable from flash to my php and nothing happened! Here's the action script code that I put on my button:

  The amount of '5' is now in a dynamic text field with the variable name and instance of amount (which, in the future, will be hidden). This works very well when the button is clicked. What I'm trying to do without success, is to get this value of '5' to my test.php and did echo and it happens simply not . It comes to my php script:

  Ok. So, do not let this thread unanswered, after a looooooong of trial and error, I went to as3 and began to do some testing. It turned out that the register_globals was off on my site and that is why I did not receive the variable passed with the $_POST in my php. So what I finally proposed is the following:

  In my fla/swf doc:

  to import flash.net.URLVariables;

  import flash.net.URLRequest;

  import flash.net.sendToURL;

  var urlVariables:URLVariables = new URLVariables;

  urlVariables.amount = "5";

  var urlRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("http://mirador.mx/oaxaca/disco/receive_test.php");

  urlRequest.data = urlVariables;

  sendToURL (urlRequest);

  In my php file:

  $amount = $_GET ["amount"];

  echo "' AMOUNT IS:". " $amount;

  Now for all of you who have been following this thread, or which can be read in the future, I know that we we started with AS2 and finishing here with AS3 but I didn't know why it worked until I I'm so fed up I've changed in AS3 to see if I could understand. I, like many others I guess, felt a bit intimidated with AS3 and was unwilling to give it a try, but I highly recommend that you dive into it because once get you a grip on it is much more functional.
