  Please try to check the rendering under Edit menu options > Preferences > Page Display.

  Check if in smooth text field "for computer/laptop LCD screens" is selected.

• PDFs from CS3, ligatures appearing is not on the PC of the Publisher, changed appearance of fonts

  Hello. I have redesigned just a magazine using the Hypatia without family, the family of the future and the Arno Pro family. Future is one font that I was using. Hypatia and Arno, ligatures are totally abandoning the pdf on a PC. And when the editor made the changes in the "comment-able" pdf file and has sent back to me, really none of the fonts appear right. There's nothing like Hypatia or Arno, or future. The traffic police seem to stay put, but that's all.

  I try to spot it's a little tighter. But while I do this, I wanted to put this here on the discussion forums. Since it is a magazine in its entirety, it won't be acceptable for her evidence in this way. I don't know if I can send a pdf to someone at Adobe to look and see what they think is happening? I'm not finding much on the tips about it either so I don't know if this is a widespread problem or not.

  Kellie and I discussed and problem, then she checked with the editor.

  In fact, the Publisher has put comments on the exported InDesign PDF file PDF using MacOS preview and then save the file and return it by e-mail to Kellie. Overview of converted all of the text of Arno Pro MacOS, future and Hypatia Sans Mac OS versions Multiple Master Helvetica fonts and several times of master who obviously did not have all the glyphs from the original fonts.

  The editor has been advised to download and install the free Adobe Reader, and guess what? The problem disappeared.

  Sorry guys, but there is absolutely nothing Adobe can do about this problem otherwise than to continue to educate our clients to avoid software PDF reader that simply does not implement or does to implement properly the complete PDF specification. (Note that this specification is an ISO standard now, not something that is secret or Adobe exclusive somehow!)

  I hate the blurry appearance of fonts. My eyes cannot focus on the blurry letters. I do not use to explore just for this reason. I leave ClearType on my Windows7. My monitor is 23 "1920 x 1080.

• Seen Windows fonts differently

  Recently, I downloaded the trial version of a program called Capture of text to copy a text, a document, but when I used it, the appearance of fonts on my computer changed immediately without restarting. Corbel in Times New Roman [by which I mean every police] became pixelated and tends generally less rounded and new. Fonts resemble these XP fonts. The look change made each unique space which could with a few exceptions. All the quality of text in my browser (Firefox), in Word, Explorer, even in the names of the icons on the desktop all powered.

  Things I've tried (and in that order, but with the time in between):

  -Restart [unsuccessfully]

  -Customize--> advanced appearance settings... (everything what it I could)     [unsuccessfully]

  -Customize,--> custom theme change, standard Aero

  |--> A theme change standard Aero caused a change in the icon names, so I think that it is a very technical issue in depth in the jungle of the window of the coding that I have enough technical skill to understand. The change went from:

  If you can't tell, the text changed to beautiful Windows 7 stuff. This change had not led any other thing, as you can see here:

  

  This is a MS Word doc in police Chin (a personal favorite). The police are usually more rounded and usually more beautiful (that's a technical term?) EDIT: Actually looking at this publication, it seems to be police normal Chin which is strange, because it is a JPEG file.

  Here, any help would be greatly appreciated. I use my computer enough so that reinstalling Windows would be a huge pain, if something else would be great! As a final note, I always print in the beautiful Chin, so it could be a problem of simple graphics.

• Rendering of fonts TLFTextfield problem

  I'm having some problems with Flash Pro CS6, some appear of fonts to render correctly only when using Textfields classic but the convening messed up in TLFTextfields. In my case, I opened a document CS5.5 in CS6 and all typography seemed wrong.

  I have not tested all my fonts, but I noticed this is happening with Helvetica Neue (police of the system OS X Lion), "BOLD" in my case and ITC Franklin Gothic Heavy. I also noticed that the videotapes arrive not with all fonts, Arial for example appear identical when using either TLFTexfield or a Textfield.

  Here is a screenshot of the issue in the action, I've marked the TLFTextfields with TLF. Is this a bug? Workaround suggestions would be great.

  

  They are pretty dead, agreed. I was surprised myself because some other fonts I use (not standard) render quite differently, especially on a baseline. Here has an image of a custom without specially designed for a company, bold fonts that I work and also it is not TTF, OTF.

  I am doing the same 3 lines that seem quite similar , but you can see that the TLF is slightly different. What is different in this picture, it's that I have included a screenshot of the selected text in flash to see the limits and baselines. You can see the vast different between TLF and classic on the baseline. The text is rendered much higher in the TLF.

  

  Everyone at my agency uses OS X, so I know your pain. I constantly open files and all fonts are screwed up. The person who works on the flash document must export themselves because Mac and Win so wildly differently work with fonts.

  I used a special police, by that I mean a font that will not be found on most computers. Within some elements, such as buttons, some graphics, the police now seems perfectly. When I check the police on the other PC is not what I had selected.   Is this all the dynamic text, or is text that is written manually in the file at the time of the creation which could be static text?  If it's static text, but you use dynamic textfields, then try to be static textfields.  If it is already static textfields, you can try to break the textfields down to be believed graphics (select the textfield object, and then click on edit-> Break Apart, change-> Break Apart)

  If they must be dynamic textfields and does not work with the option to incorporate in the properties panel, and then try to incorporate the police into the library and use it from there... Do that... in the library in the upper right corner is a small menu where you can select "New font"... who to choose and select the police you want from the list.  You can assign that font incorporated as you normally would, but you have to find the name in the library and in the selection of fonts trhe there's going to be an asterisk next to it.  So if the police is called 'Font 1' in the library, and then in the font selection in the properties panel will appear as "" Font 1 * "."

  I have already created a Fireworks MX button with the police 'Monotype without WT' for an IBM computer.

  Then I changed to another computer that does not have the police.  Fireworks MX has been able to properly manage the appearance of fonts when I want to create a new button.

  However, as I have upgraded to the new version of Fireworks CS4, I wasn't able to recreate the same look of fonts.  The feature to "maintain the appearance of the police" no longer works.

  What is someone having the same problem?

  If I remember correctly, you lose the 'apparition' as soon as you try to change it. I don't know the mechanics of how it maintains.

  As the subject says, my Firefox crashes now immediately at startup. (It's on Windows 10 64-bit.) Here is what I tried which did not fix the crash:
  -Refresh
  -Reinstall
  -Disable all addons
  -uninstall the software which provides plugins (Flash, Acrobat Reader)
  -delete the profile

  Here are the situations where Firefox goes not down:
  -safe mode
  -use every night instead of 40.0.3.

• Police on Google, Facebook and many other sites, but not all, is "BOLD", no matter what I do.

  Since I installed Firefox on my newly-fixed computer (has been completely annihilated, installed FF 06/05 / 15), fonts for several sites has been "BOLD", regardless of how I set my preferences. It comes to Facebook, Google and Gmail. If I say not to allow pages to choose their own fonts, this problem is solved, but the characters such as arrows do not appear on other sites.

  What I really want is to be able to see that I read something by having make it back to normal, rather than "BOLD". The only way I can do it is by prohibiting the pages to choose their own fonts. Is it possible to fix this?

  You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
