Digital signatures in LiveCycle forms

Can someone tell me what the numbers represent the end date and time in a PDF digital signature?  My numbers look like this:

Date: 2012.03.27 07:43:49 04'00 ' (Date = 2012.03.27 time = 07:43:49 what is 04'00 '?)

Thank you

Answered my own question. These numbers represent the time zone of the area where the digital signature was created.

What version of LiveCycle Designer do you use? Action Builder is available in the latest versions of Designer, and it is very easy to use.

Generator option d ' action should be available under the Tools Menu and you can go through the help of Designer to learn more on this subject.

  • How can I make the submit button that is activated after the user enters a digital signature?

I have a form that contains a digital signature field. Once the user enters their digital signature, my "submit" button is disabled. I wanted that this remains activated for the user can submit the form with their digital signature and the form (in PDF format) as an attachment.

    I'd appreciate any help.

    Kind regards

You can configure the fields of lock after the signing of the digital signature. In Livecycle Designer across this field properties: object-> TAB Signature properties. Here can exclude the button submit or any other field, if necessary, do not lock after signing.

  • several digital signatures of a person

I have a PDF form that has 10 pages, each page has a Signature field.

I want to put this form in the workspace and send it in a workflow process, possibly to send it to the user who is supposed to sign.

But I don't want him to sign 10 times (one for each page).

Is it possible to let him sign the first page only, and all other 9 pages automatically applied with his signature?

    How to do this?

    Thank you

You have a process that builds on the features of "Digital Signatures" of LiveCycle.  You can apply the signatures on the side server.  You must ensure that the digital signer certificate has been imported in the 'Powers' of the Trust Bank section.  LiveCycle needs access to the P12 or PFX file to create the signature.

I'm not aware of any way to automate the process of signing on the client side.

  • Digital signature field

I can't find the Digital Signature field in MS.

I have created a form for a client who wants to capture a Digital Signature.

In the form toolbar prepare there is 'Add a Signature' and 'add a signature block '. I have used these and define the field as "signature", but when I open the form in Reader, the field accepts just plain text. I used before digital signature field and it always comes with the red marker on the ground.

This option is no longer in DC, or am I missing something?

    Thank you

What you have done is created a form that is compatible with the services of E-sign of Adobe (Adobe sign, electronic signaturesonline, formerly EchoSign |) Adobe Document Cloud ), which is quite different and incompatible with digital signatures. In form editing mode, select the button "More" and select "Return to Acrobat Form". You will then be able to add a digital signature field.

  • Dynamic PDF with Digital Signatures?

    LCD display 9 - Acrobat 9 standard/Pro

Looking for the definitive answer on this one. My PDFs need to be both dynamic and use digital signatures. For now, I also design with GIS digital multi static and treat small forms and this via a portfolio.

It would be nice if I could design a form that has two fluid sections (think added rows of a table dynamically using script, or even simple textfields that expand as you fill them via content areas sank) and these digital signatures. As soon as I do this dynamic PDF signatures are invalidated immediately that the form displays the changes.

Is there a work around? Part of the process that I have to design for need fields flowed, and require all of the digital signatures on the form.  We use the Entrust security for GIS num - and this won't change, so cannot use inherent Adobe signature security methods.

    Thank you

    Hi Jim,.

I have attached a dynamic XFA PDF file that contains fields of signature that I mocked upward. Open in the Designer Forms and you can see how it's built.

  • Removal of signatures in a digital signature field

Hi all, I have a question about the above topic that I hope
    you guys can help me

    (1) is it possible to remove the digital signatures of the form? For example
If you have a form go through several stages of approval requiring
signatures and then a step that happened to reject, it would be good to
remove the previous signatures so that they can be signed again.

    (2) and finally is there a simpler way to combine digital signatures
and the management of rights, then what appeared in the pdf document provided by
Duane (second post from the bottom of the thread)? When creating a policy, there is

a checkbox for "filling in form fields and signing." This forsomething's else?

    Thank you!
    Billy

    (1) is it possible to remove the digital signatures of the form?

ANSWER: A signature can not be removed ("unsigned") if the system or the user has access to the "private" key used to generate the signature in the first place.  For example, let's say that signs of the user has a PDF file... Only the user can unsign this PDF.  If you were to use LC Digital Signatures ARE to "unsign" a PDF file, you will need to have all the 'Powers' potential user and passwords of credentials stored in the store of approvals for LC would have access to private keys to unsign a signature field.  It's not very feasible if the number of potential signatories.

    (2) at - it a simpler way to combine the rights management and digital signatures

ANSWER: The combination digital signatures and rights management is not complicated.  You just need to be aware of the "order of operations" required.  Always 'Encrypt' everything first (rights Mgt, certificates and password can be used for encryption) "Certify" (assuming you certify the PDF), then add rights of Extension of the detector (assuming you want to extend the functionality of the document for the reader)

The reason why the above order is necessary...  When you sign a document, a hash is generated according to the document, if you then encrypt the signed document, you change the document, which in turn a different hash to be generated... This breaks the signature.

With regard to the "filling of form fields and signing" policy option, it's a 'permission' that you can enable or disable PDF forms with a strategy applied by RM for example, A PDF has a policy applied where the user has 'filling in form fields and signing' andf enabled permission, user B does not work.  A user can open the screen and interact with him by filling and or sign the form.  User B would be able to 'see' the form.  This permission is relevant only with RM in order to protect the PDF Forms.  Also, it should not be confused with the permission of Reader Extensions to allow Digital Signatures in Reader.

For example, if you wanted a form of 'Certified' must be filled out and signed by the user with Adobe Reader, you will need to:

Apply a policy to the PDF document where the user has been "filling in form fields and signing" permission enabled, then apply a signature to "Certify" who had permission from "Allow complete and sign form" enabled, then drive to extend the PDF form that allows the authorization of "Digital Signatures" that activates the functionality of Digfital Signatures in the drive for this particular form.

It may seem complicated, but it's really not

  • Problem of size of form with several Digital Signatures

I created a form (liveCycle 8) with several digital signatures.  When each user signs the form, this section of the form is locked using collections.  The form is workflow by email after each user connects it.  Whenever the user signs and submits the form, the size of the form becomes too great.

How to optimize the form to compress whenever a user signs the form?

    Thank you

    Lori

    Steve,

After your request to publish the form, I wanted to remove some elements of society, such as the Logo.  Once I removed the Logo, I found that the biggest problem was a Logo image size which was the large file.  Once I reduced the size of the image, added only 46 KB signatures at each level of signature.

    Thank you for your help,

  • Some issues related to the digital signature on an interactive form

I just finished a contract of interactive advertising with a 128-bit encryption allowing recipients to submit CC of information securely to our publishing company. Even if the form in the upper fields allow to type the name of an authorized person, the signature on the bottom line is having problems because so that everyone to sign, they need a digital signature.

    (1) is it necessary? If so, is it possible to automate it for customers, so they do not have to go through the process of creating one?

    (2) how to create a digital signature for my partner and have the form SUBMIT button channel back to his address of e-mail instead of mine (which it does because of another interactive form, that I created in which I was the person for returns)? I couldn't find anything in the 'properties' of the OK button that allowed me to enter an e-mail address.

I thank very you much for your help here. It's time-sensitive, because we need get the package ASAP.

1 if you need a digital signature, then set up a digital ID is required to sign a digital signature field. So the question is really more fundamental: you need people to sign the form with a digital signature? If you say yes, what are the reasons?

    2. If you use the distribution process in Acrobat so thatt you can collect form data in an answer file, you should distribute the form using the other person with Acrobat installed on machine.

If you don't want to do this and you want to only collect the documents returned without putting the data in an answer file, you can configure your own submit button using any email address you want and that you do not use the distribution process. You must activate the document reader and then send or otherwise get for users. How to configure the Send button depends on how you want it to run exactly and which version of Acrobat you are using. More information can be found here: http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/form-submit-e-mail-demystified

If you want to continue to go through the process of distribution and want to change the email address it uses, you can change it to: Edit > references > identity > Email address

You will then have to redistribute the form with a copy of the form as it existed before your first distribution. The answer file will be on your machine.

  • A form of Digital Signature

Hi, I'm new to this forum and thought I would give it a try.  I am running Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro.

I was instructed to prepare a document which is the Digital Signature.  In other works, I need to understand how to make a box with a small red arrow, where somone passes the pointer of the mouse on the arrow, and a note appears which says ' digitally sign, click on the arrow.

Is there anyone who might be able to seat me in this application?

    Very respectfully: Rossknechtt,.

Have you tried to add a digital signature field? When you enter in form editing mode, you can add it to any page and make it the size you want. You can add ToolTip text to say what you want. You can set the color of the border and background if you want. Signature fields also have a small icon in the upper left corner that distinguishes them from other areas.

  • forms, digital signatures, the platform issues

I'm trying to implement pdf forms in an educational environment to use digital signatures and reduce paper. The data in the form has no need to go anywhere. There's just the form at this point. Some people on campus machines Windows, other Macs. All Windows machines have Acrobat Pro installed and not drive. Macs are more likely to have the drive. There has been problems with emailing these forms between the platforms. Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? My IT Department will not support player on Windows machines, so the shapes must work in Acrobat and Reader! How the original document, that I put online must be registered to work in the programs and platforms? What direction should I give users on to fill out it to save the forms and sign? I have looked everywhere for this kind of info, but can't seem to find it. Any help is greatly appreciated. For the record, I'm not a computer scientist. Thank you!!!

This is a classic symptom of save the form with preview. To check, see what he lists as the PDF producer: file > properties > PDF producer

If it shows something like 'Mac OS X 10.6.5 Quartz PDFContent', this is your culprit. For more information, see: http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/885/cpsid_88564.html

If it's not her, I would be interested in looking at a sample.

  • Created LiveCycle Form, permits for player rights, user rights opens disabled!

Hi, I create forms for my company using LiveCycle Designer on PC. So I did for 3 years. Using XP, then Windows 7 and now Windows 8. I have created over 100 forms in this way, static and dynamic, usually with digital signatures and several pages. I have download the portal of the employees of our company and they are downloaded and sent locations around the United States and Puerto Rico. My normal process is to create in LiveCycle, open them in Acrobat Pro, extend rights to the drive, then save and download for employees.

After the release of Reader X I started having complaints from employees that their forms did not allow to save or sign. After a few months of this I realized that almost all of my forms were doing that and I can't find a common denominator among them! Some of them are rather static, dynamic, some have signatures, others not, some complicated calculations, some do not... etc.

Today I did some experiementing and created a simple form with only basic text fields, I saved on my computer, extended rights, then open in XI on the same drive. No problem. Then sent to myself, he opened on my laptop using the XI player. Problem. This is the message that I had and that all my employees get.

"This document contained certain rights to activate special features in Adobe Reader." The document has been modified since its creation, and these rights are no longer valid. Please contact the author for the original version of this document. »

As you can imagine, it's a huge problem for my company as we rely on this forms for all current work days. I searched the forums here and tried a few solutions but none seem to be anywhere near target. Thanks for any help or someone can give advice. (Sorry for the long question, but I thought that it better all along!)

Well, I was initially hoping that's computers to my employees, but they are distributed on the East Coast with changing levels of computer skills and I could not just to nail a common point between them. Different versions, time zones and BONE (some XP and a few Windows 7). I went ahead and sent you an email. Thank you!!!

  • Acrobat Pro DC - failed to create the digital signature field

    Hello:

I use a trial version of Acrobat Pro DC and PREPARATION of a form to an existing PDF document. I can't find a way to create a digital signature field that can be "click (to sign).

Note: The existing .pdf has a digital signature field works but when I click on 'Prepare the form' and select this shape, it blocks every time Adobe Acrobat Pro. I must change the .pdf first, delete the existing digital signature field, save the .pdf, then on 'Prepare the form' and select it with the required signature checked.

I read several articles in the knowledge base and tutorials that refer to an icon in the toolbar of the digital signature, but I have not this icon can be selected. That's what I see:

When I select the available signature icon (envelope with x) this simply creates a text field, that when the document is opened in Adobe Reader, this field disappears when you click it.

I tried with Adobe Acrobat Pro on Windows 7 as well as currently on Mac OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite). Help to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

The problem is that you have selected the signing required check box. When you do this, it limits you to a form that is compatible with Adobe sign, which allows no digital signature fields. What you can do is to click on the more button in the right panel and select "Back to the form of Acrobat" and you will be able to add digital signature fields.
