Dim ODI - SQL Server - slow developing knowledge module
Hi allI'm running the package, with only 2 maps and want to include CPC type2, I get the following error "incorrect syntax near the keyword 'From'. The code is below. The S.Load_Date is not affected and I get the error, where I look at and fix for this package work. Thanks for your time and your help.
Update T
set T.Current_Record_Ind = 0,
S.Load_Date
of datamart.dbo.Dim_type t.
datamart.dbo.I$ s _Dim_type
where T.Type_Code = S.Type_Code
and T.current_record_ind = 1
and S.IND_UPDATE = 'I '.
Type 2 SCD is supposed to historical tracking of changes made to the source data, keep a record by natural key as the "current" record You must define a current record indicator starting timestamp, timestamp end, surrogate key and natural key so that the SCD KM to work. You can see the description of revenge for more information on each of these types of behavior SCD.
Add a column, such as end_date, to your data store target according to the model and set the behavior ending Timestamp SCD. You should also have a surrogate key and natural key defined, as well as at least a column that will be inserted or overwritten on change. Hope this can go in the right direction.
Kind regards

ODI - SQL Server - SCD TYPE2 ERROR
Hi all
I'm running an Interface with a simple map and it's IFL. I get the following error in Step13 - Create indexes on the flow Table. Incorrect syntax near), and the code is displayed as below.
create index IX_DIM_TYPE on Datamart.dbo.I$ _DIM_TYPE)
The I$ Table has all the values NULL and an I for IND_UPDATE.
Help, please. Thanks for your time.Hi again,
This will be similar to the last question, we worked through (Re: ODI - SQL Server - changing slowly dim Module knowledge if behavior SCD types are not defined for the data store, the IKM will not be able to find them.) In this case, the code for this step is looking for the natural key of the CPC. This will have to be defined in the columns of the data store.
You can watch the steps of the IKM by opening the Knowledge Module by clicking on each command in the Details tab. On the Substitution API reference guide will help you understand what the code is attempting to come back. http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E14571_01/integrate.1111/e12645/odiref_reference.htm

Hi friends,
My source is: SQl server 2005
Target: Oracle
I would use LKM: Sql for oracle? It works in this case? If it works with little change in the ODI knowledge module, please guide me.
I use Oracle CKM, IKM: added Sql command.
Thanks for your comments.LKM SQL for Oracle works perfectly to your needs, without having to change.

Independent research - how to join ODI - SQL Server
Hi all
My Sql server query joins as follows
Select...
Of A.DBO. MAIN
A.DBO inner join. LOOKUP_STANDALONE on 1 = 1
How to convert ODI?
Thank you for the time and help.Hello
I think what you want to do is a Cartesian join (join all the lines of the HAND with all the lines of LOOKUP_STANDALONE).
You can do this in ODI by dragging a random column of the HAND on a column of LOOKUP_STANDALONE (any column). Then click on your join and check the box 'Cross.
It will be useful,

SQL for SQL Server 2008 Developer Data Modeler
I am not able to connect to my SQL Server 2008 since the SQL Developer Data Modeler. Although I jtds - 1.2.jar my machine and I can connect SQL server through the SQL Developer, but still I am not able to connect through the Data Modeler. I need to rethink and to generate the data model for some existing patterns.
Here's what I'm following: -.
File Data-> shape-> import-> data dictionary-> add-> new JDBC, ODBC Bridge connection-> other third-party driver
now when I give driver and the JDBC URL, it throws an error message indicating that the driver is not found.
Please let me know what I can do to fix this problem, any help would be appreciated.
Kind regards
AVAI would try 1 to connect to the db of sqldeveloper (by jtds - uninvolved to ODBC) and see if you can browse your sql db queries and question in a worksheet. Export this connection to xml format, and then import that Modeler.

How to refresh variable ODI as part of a knowledge Module?
Hello
I want to know how can I update a varaible ODI in a knowledge module using oracle Technology. EX: I created a variable called VAR_TEST in ODI.
In one of the module knowledge steps, I want to update as mentioned below:
Start
Select column name in #VAR_TEST in tablename;
end;
Thank you very much...Hi Martin,
Put the query in the refresh tab in the variable, generate a script of the variable and call the script through "OdiStartScen" (Sunopsis API technology) of KM.
In this case the variable should be "last value".
An alternative is to use a Java variable instead... Works best at kms
This help you?

Exercise enough free SQL Server running?
I took a course SQL and the pattern of their installation program has been a (sitting at the computer) User Management Studio connection, which in turn connects to the SQL translator, which is attached with DBMS SQL Server, which is connected to the SQL Server database.
All I want to do a few exercises query, and I wonder if the free SQL Server Express development would be sufficient. I had a whole CD of SQL files, including some set up tables for questioning. I would like to be placed on my home computer, which runs Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
Hello
The question you posted would be better suited in the MSDN Forums. I would recommend posting your query in the MSDN Forums:

Connection refused in SQL Server 2005
I just installed SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition, and I still have SQL Server 7 running on port 1433.
I have many databases SQL7 connected to CF7.0.2
When I try to connect to a new database that I can read and write in SQL2005, I get a connection refused error.
I don't know what port to connect to, as shown in the SQL2005 port 0 which means apparently dynamic port allocation.
When I try the port 1434 I get connection refused.
I have the defined user name to his (and enabled in SQL2005) and no password (windows authentication). Same result if the user name is empty.
Anyone have any idea what should these settings be?

data replication with ODI between SQL SERVER and ORACLE
Hello world
First of all, I want to migrate database SQL SERVER and ORACLE DB tables.
And then make online (synchronous) replication from SQL SERVER to ORACLE using ODI.
I have not used before ODI.
How to use the ODI for this?1. create a master repository and connect to the "topology Manager.
2. in the topology Manager, you must configure the following
2.1 create a data server for the Oracle under Oracle database in the physical connection
2.2. create a database for the SQL Server database server in SQL Server in the physical connection. To do this, the jdbc for sql server driver.
2.3 implement the logical connection and frame
2.4 create a workrepository in the topology manager repositories tab
3. connect to the designer and follow these steps
3.1 create a template for the SQL Server source and reverse (import) the datastores (tables) to the model.
3.2 the value of the model for the target of the Oracle
3.3 create a (mapping) interface, under the table in schema define the source and then add it to the target and bind
3.3 on the flow tab, you must set the Modules (KMs) of knowledge to perform the load. You must have imported the KMs before creating the interface.
3.4 in IKM put 'create table traget' to 'yes '.
4 run the interface to load data from SQL to Oracle ServerThank you

Developer SQL 4.1.2 uses Windows authentication to connect to SQL Server
I'm using SQL Developer 4.1.2 and tries to connect to SQL Server through Windows authentication. If I use SQL Server authentication, everything works so the jTDS driver appears to be installed and working properly (I use jTDS 1.2). When I switch to Windows authentication, I get the error
Status: Failure-Test failed: IO error: failure of the SSO: library Native SSPI has not loaded. Check the system java.library.path property.
Of course, I googled the error and came up with dozens of people asking the same question and is told to move the ntlmauth.dll from the \SSO directory to the jTDS directory in various other directories. That seems to work for others so for the last few hours, I was copying the DLL in each directory that I can find someone on the internet suggesting without success (I do restart SQL Developer each time). In the Directory SQL Developer, I tried
Developer c:\Oracle SQL 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper
Developer c:\Oracle SQL 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin
Developer c:\Oracle SQL 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper\jdk\jre\bin
On the off chance that something was still making reference to a directory of a SQL Developer previous install, I put it in the same directories in the front THAT SQL Developer installed on this machine. On the theory that she was using the FMV of the machine rather than that I downloaded and installed with SQL Developer, I advanced and dropped the DLL in the directory \bin for each installation of Java, that I could find on the system.
c:\Program Files\Java\jrd1.8.0_45\bin
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_45\bin
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_60\bin
Still no luck. SQL Developer, I went to help. Everything | Properties and checked that the first way to java.library.path is what I expected and where I dropped the ntlmauth.dll first. I even put it in c:\windows and c:\windows\system32 just to be sure.
Java.Library.Path C:\Oracle SQL Developer 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin. C:\WINDOWS\Sun\Java\bin; C:\Windows\System32; C:\WINDOWS; Despite the DLL just about everywhere that I guess I would need to have it, I still get the same error. I must be missing something obvious. But at this point I was looking at it so long that I just can't see it.
Justin
I use SQL Developer 4.1.2 and tries to connect to SQL Server through Windows authentication using jTDS 1.2
Not sure if this has anything to do with your problem, but according to jTDS - SQL Server and Sybase JDBC driver / newsand since SQL Developer 4.1.x requires Java 8, '' you should stick only to jTDS 1.2 If you need to use a version of Java before Java 7 '' . Perhaps using a version 1.3.x jTDS driver might help.
