  The Dell recovery disk restores the system to the original factory conditions and you have lost all the settings Windows mail completely.  You must reconfigure Windows Mail entirely (as if for the first time which is essentially what you're doing) to re-establish the link with the email provider.  You may need to contact them for the right information enter on the different screens (user name and password, server names, if authorization is required for the reception or sending, port numbers, etc.).  Once this is done, you should have access again.  If your ISP is also your email provider, then I'm sure that a call to their technical support number, you will have someone who can help you step by step with this whole process (because they have people who do this throughout the day and documented procedures so that they don't miss anything and to provide accurate and up-to-date information).  Don't let them not the phone is turned off until you have confirmed this works by you sending a few emails and confirming you received them.

• I can't have printer to print emails from direct mail, but it does not print attachments

  I have a Toshiba Tecra M9 with Windows 7 Pro installed. I have also a double configuration works very well.
  I use Live Mail on both and last week installed Office 2010. Everything worked fine
  with the HP Laserjet P1102w but the configuration of my wife with the series (Netrwork) Photosmart HP 5510
  would not print directly from Live Mail. Accessories including HTMs) print very well but the plain text
  directly from Live Mail does not print. Print commands do not come to the top. I rebooted Live Mail.
  Advice would be appreciated.

  @anna1943, you should be able to press Ctrl + P to display the print settings.

  You can see the page in question (or at least the code)?

  And it could be many things.  Outlook 2007 installation is the default mail client?  Other programs recognize it on your computer without problem?  Firefox has seen many updates since 3.5.18 (3.6-> 4.0).  Have you tried later to make sure that this isn't a bug with this particular version that was fixed by Mozilla?

  I can receive and open the email, but when I click on anything in the email a box comes up which says "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the set associations Control Panel. Don't know what to do. Any help would be great.

  I use Windows mail, version 6.0.6000.16386. for Microsoft Vista.

  It seems tht that not every email will make it through Windows mail. I checked with my internet provider and we can see the e-mails hit the server, but it was as if Windows mail has been picking up a choice than to receive mails.

  When we access the server directly, it seems to work. Anyone can help?

  Simply select the account under Tools | Accounts | Mail, then click on remove.  You will need to know the parameters to set it up again.  McAfee is known to cause problems with Windows Mail.  You will not be able to correct them if you continue to use McAfee.  Alternatively, you can try to compact and repair the database of WinMail to see if that helps (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).

  I have a HP Pavilion Elite e9180t PC comes with Vista Home Premium 64-bit.  I had the hard drive (Seagate/Barracuda 7200, 750GB) SATA to go over me (after the expiration of the warranty of course) so I replaced it with a WD Caviar Green 1 TB drive.  When I rebooted the news of recovery disk to the new disk, VIsta worked but Windows Update does not work and I get A 8024, 000 error Code.  To worked with Microsoft to try to resolve that (never made), I am frustrated and all saved just reinstall Vista.  When I try to reinstall Vista, I now get the message "installing Windows could not configure Windows to run on a hardware on this computer."  The installation progresses up to the stage of upgrade (a final) then I get error and it puts everything back the way I started.

  The only thing I changed hardware wise is the hard drive, so this error message seems silly because Windows runs on this material.  I even double checked that Vista is always enabled.  Anyone out there have any ideas?

  Why can I no longer send links to Web sites? By clicking on file > Send link does not work or right clicking on the mouse. Both worked before Firefox 6.   Could you check if your setting for mailto links has been deleted or become associated with an e-mail client that does not exist? Here's how:

  Firefox > Preferences > Applications

• Windows Update not available on my xp home edition. Also no pgedit and bits do not work.

  "windows update is not available" for my xp Home Edition.  I followed the instructions to fix and found that I had no gpedit.  Also said something about BITS works do not.  I don't have my recovery disks.  I care not one of my files.  I want just a fresh install of xp.  I tried microsoft fix it but no good.  I tried to change the recommended registry but nothing.  I need to have regular updates for my xp system.
