Directories of users in service sharing

Hi team,
Can you please tell me for the configuration of the external user directories LDAP such as Sun Java System Directory used to shared services (EPM 11.1.2.2), what is the level of permission is needed from LDAP? I think that just the read permission should be ok. Please advice.

Thanks for your help.

"The unique name of the user that shared Services must use to link with the directory of the user. This user should have search privilege on the relative within the DN DN attribute. For example, in the dn: cn = John Doe, or = people, dc = myCompany, dc = com, the bind user should have access to the cn attribute. »

Please suggest me where I can find all users/groups/roles?

    Published by: 907961 on January 24, 2012 01:07

You can check the file SharedServices_Security_Client.log you can find it under the directory utility LCM or in the temp directory (% TEMP % or/var/tmp or/var/temp). Do you think that any subset of the users/groups/roles that you intend to import, or you do not see one any of them? If this log file does not help reduce the problem, you can change the Debug logging level in the user interface of shared Security Services and restart the Shared Services and then restart the import.

  • Migrate the Service sharing user/group in 11.1.2 release

    Hello

I need to migrate my users and groups set up in service shared (from DEVELOPMENT to PRODUCTION) in Hyperion 11.1.2 release.
In the previous version, I used utility import/export of css, but in version 11.1.2 I know OpenLDAP finally fall down and replaced with RDBMS (thanks John for your great blog!).

I need a confirmation that, in order to migrate successfully (without the use of LCM), another option would be to copy / relational tables form the shared service (css * tables)

I thank you and appreciate your comments!

    RGS,
    Robert

Why you want to use LCM? It would be a much safer option than to try to copy the tables that security is led ID and may differ between environments.

  • The user profile Service has no connection (Win 7)

As I see it is a fairly common problem, I read through several suggestions and try my options, but I'm still stuck.

The challenge is that I can not connect as an administrator. There is only one user, which is also the Director, and apparently it is corrupt. All the solutions I've found seems to start with "first of all, log in as an admin..." - but there is the problem: I can not connect at all.

I'm ready to start over again and wipe this laptop (Samsung RV511), but I prefer to get with this user if possible.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

You can try to fix it with Safe Mode - repeatedly press F8 as you bootup. The ADMIN account in trunk
Mode has no default password (unless someone has changed the password so it should be available).

Some programs such as the updated Google (if you added the toolbar Google, Chrome or Google Earth)

  • THE USER PROFILE SERVICE service failed the logon__User profile cannot be loaded

I read the previous discussions, so what I need is someone who has the patience and the time to walk through Windows 7 Home Premium for Dummies with me.  I have a friend who has updated all my software on Windows 7 and has added many other applications for a handsome sum.  A FRIEND.  I was on my labtop there is only 1 hour returned to connect and I get this message to the CONNECTION SCREEN...

THE USER PROFILE SERVICE service has no logon.
    User profile cannot be loaded

I'm on the front screen.  No office, NO option to use a different connection name, no Director... Just my name and my password.  My Blue tutorial button to the left and my red farm option to the right.  I can't do all the things I've read on because I can't get the properties... blah blah.  I know that I delete anything... I could not... I don't know how.  I just need help, restore peace of mind only I get from a busy daily life.

    Peuvent some please help?

    Hello

This also happened to me in another case. All local users are unable to connect they get this error. For example if I enable comments or create a local user account that is a member of the 'users' group I get this error when you connect using the accounts of the said that has been set with a blank password. However, I was able to use my administrator account to manage my machine. You probabbly deleted your permissions on the "C:\Users" folder or the root of the drive itself. If you have a local account, you can plug this hard drive into a computer with the same OS as slave then add "everyone" group with full control and select inherit permissions from parent. Restart, and then try. I hope this helps. C =

  • "C:\Users" folder is shared when you share a folder in the directory?

So everyone seems familiar with this problem, but has anyone seen an answer yet?  I've been whinging about it since the launch of Vista, but I am yet to see a resolution that does not involve a work around.  I was surprised to start seven RC and find the same question he still had.

I'll reiterate for those who want clarification (and warning)...

If you share a folder in the C:\Users directory, the displayed share will be the folder C:\Users (through which you will need to browse to find the folder you shared ACTUALLY).

Not only is this a major security design flaw, it represents also reflect seriously illogical on behalf of the Member States.

Advanced use of sharing seems to overcome this deficiency (only the folder you share ACTUALLY appears) however I have noticed even apparently random times the C:\Users folder appears shared despite exclusively using the advanced sharing?

In any case, I wanted to raise the issue again in the hope that somehow, somewhere, someone could provide information about the position of MS in this regard, and if there is no intention to solve.

    Hi Windza,

Probably, there is no permanent solution to this problem. Therefore, we would like you to send your comments to http://mymfe.microsoft.com/Windows%20%207/Feedback.aspx?formID=195&UrlReferrer =

It seems that Microsoft is known on this problem of Windows and have already released a fix for this problem.

My HP desktop computer has windows 7 - I can't get past - error message "user profile service failed to connect ' & 'impossible to load the user profile'!"  By clicking on the ICON that displays windows closes and repeats the error message read... a new user account must be defined the user upwards and copy the previous settings account - but I can't get there.

    Hello

    You can try the following.

Shut down the PC.  Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  If windows will load in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point at least 24 hours prior to the issue of logon and then proceed to the restoration.  When you are finished, Windows will restart as normal in order to check if you can now connect correctly.

Another option if the above does not help is as follows.

Shut down the PC.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Start using last good known Configuration" and press ENTER.

    Kind regards

  • The logon user profile Service service failed

    Hello

I have a Compaq presarion c500 c555em equipped with windows vista and for the last week, I was unable to connect. After the startup logon page appears with the only newspaper on my user profile option. When I enter my password correctly, a message appears to indicate:

Looking at other posts, it seems to be a fix from Microsoft to this problem. However I can't access the internet in safe mode, and when I try to run the fix from a memory stick it does not open the fix.

If I run the F11 key, I automatically lose everything on my c drive (ie the restore to factory settings) or that it will be possible to restore for some time before this error occurred? If so, could you give simple instructions on how to make or give a cross reference to where I can find this information. My apologies so simple, but I'm really bad with computers
