Directory on the presentation server

In the section "* adding a text link or a link to the Image to an Oracle BI interactive dashboard Page * ' *, Oracle BI answers, book and said Interactive Dashboards User Guide: *.
Bq. /DashboardFiles/image.gif-if the image is not on the local server.
How do I create a directory on the presentation server? (Note that we do not want a directory that is mapped to a network drive, our Oracle BI will launch stand-alone without network).

BR
A

Hi Arthur,.

the default style is s_oracle10. So when you want to add a business on the analytical Server logo, I recommend to add the image file in the following directories:

\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\analytics\analytics\res\s_oracle10\images
and
\OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\images

The s_oracle10 is the directory 'style' btw.

When you have done this, you can reference image using PCGG files, like: fmap:images / companylogo.gif.

Next to this solution, it is also possible to use an 'absolute' link for the image file, using the url as: http://www.yourcompany.com/companylogo.gif.

Kind regards
Stijn

  • Root directory of the installation server

I'll set up a new site on my web server on an Ubuntu Linux machine.

If I leave empty root directory then it copy my files the to \home\user\mywebsite

If I put/var/www/mywebsite then he said: permission denied to hide the file. I think DW to copy controls the files on the server.

I would like to know what root directory I need to leave it blank or have/var/www/mysite.

your information and help is much appreciated,

    Kind regards

    iccsi,

Try to just 'mysite' here (of course make sure you have a folder with the same name in/var/www /.)

  • Who is the directory of the connector server bundle?

    Hello experts,

I'm doing a flat file connection an i got to the point where I have to copy the jar file generated from the build.xml to bundle Server Connector directory. My question is this: where can I find this specific directory in terms of path?

So far I can find db/server/Oracle_IDM1. Here, I have 3 files: IOM, oimxe and approved.
Where should I copy my jar file?

    Best regards!

    Carol

no need to run the file systems. Just download in base to download the utility available under jar server/bin/UploadJars.sh.

  • Creating user in the repository and Presentation Server

    Hello

I created for OBIEE users in the administration tool, but I don't see users in the list when I want to add to a group on the presentation server. First of all, I need to log on to the server of presentation with this user to be able to add it to a group. The problem is that I have 150 users and I do not intend to log 150 times.

Is there an easier way to do this?

    Kind regards

    Hi Osman,

strange error message, I have no idea why get you. You rebooted the Oracle BI server and presentation?

  • Can register on EM and Admin Console but not Analytics - down presentation server

I installed 11G on Windows 7 Enterprise. I am able to sign on Enterprise Manager and the Administration Console but not in analytics.

The presentation server is down and there is a message in the nqserver.log about a problem with the oracle.bi.security.service. I pasted the nqserver.log and the sawlog0.log file and the file nqsconfig.ini below.

I checked the BISystemUser into the realms of Weblogic Administration Console/security/myrealm and reset the password.

I also have to reset the password for BISystemUser in Weblogic Enterprise Manager/WebLogic Domain/Security/Credentials/oracle.bi.system

    Then restarted services.

I checked to see that there's no lock on DEV_MDS and DEV_BIPLATFORM.

I tried to restart the services on several occasions without any modification.

I don't know what else to check or how to proceed. Is there anything else I should check to identify what I might need to the difficulty of obtaining this race?

    Thank you

  • Load the XML data to the UNIX server directly to Tables of database relational

Is there a way I can load some data from an XML file in the Oracle Tables, without going through the input file XML in a directory of the Oracle server. My XML file resides on the UNIX application server. And I need to load the data directly into database tables. Without load them into the database directory.

Also, I'm looking for a solution that would not load my database much and affect other processes running. Can be done using SQL Loader?

Oracle database version: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64 bit Production

Thanks for the companions of answers!

There I helped to learn a lot of options.

But the easiest using UNIX server that worked for me was to use an XSLT transformation to convert the XML file to a delimited file. (Load the unix server, save the Oracle resources).

UNIX 'xsltproc' feature was not a bad option.

Then use SQL Loader to load into tables.

    Bravo!

  • Presentation server administrators

    Hello

Where can I find the Presentation Server administrators. I checked in to Manage administration tool-> Security-> groups, but couldn't find?

    Thank you.

You will find in administration Administrator tool.
His group of catalog. -> Replies-> settings manage users and groups to catalogue presentation
It search by typing "Maxime" groups and users to see the, and then click Search
    Hope that in 10g.

  • Photo of opening of the application server

    Hi all

I installed the webutil with success and now I want the client to open a pictures stored in the application server.

    I use 10g application server.

and I don't know if she should use the webutil or not in this task.

So, put the images in a separate Directory on the application server, this directory of maps in a directory virtaul in the configuration of application server using an AliasMatch in a-conf files, then use

    WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT('http://server:port/virtual_directory/myimage.jpg');

    to show.

  • Port of presentation server will not change

If I change the port number in the web.xml file and restart the server (or all services including oc4j) the presentation server always attempts to use the default port number 9710... I tried to add the following line to instanceconfig.xml but that has not helped either...
After the line < DSN >:
    < Listening port = "9712" / >

    what Miss me?

Web.XML is the config for the plugin Presentation Services (Analytics).

You must edit instanceconfig.xml to change the Presentation Services (sawserver) port listening (like you said you did). Can you post your instanceconfig.xml and the output of netstat-a after your presentation Services service starts.
    What OS are you on?

  • Windows MCE and connect to the shared directory of the server

Well, I know it's more a matter of Microsoft than a Qosmio question, however, I think that it is better to ask here among others who can actually thought it out instead to pay $95 to Microsoft to answer a question which ought to be established somewhere anyway.

I have a LAN in my house with several password protected Windows 2003 servers. I do not use a domain system because I've never been fond of roaming computers that belong to a domain.

I prefer also to encrypt and password protect files on my computer using PGP disk password protect the machine itself. After all, my son likes to watch his cartoons on the computer and at the age of 3, type a password of 8 characters with high, low, numbers and signs of punctuation is a bit out of reach for the moment.

So now I have bore you with all rebuttles to questions like "Why don't you do this rather", Let's get to the meat.

Is anyway in Windows XP Media Center edition that when I connect to a shared directory on the server using Windows file sharing (SMB/CIFS), I can choose to save the password?

Dialog box, I have in mind is the one marked 'Connect to' that appears to request a username and password when a UNC network path is entered directly in the Explorer address line or the path is traversed through "My Network Places" and permissions are insufficient for with the users currently logged in user name and password combination.

This feature exists on XP Pro, but not on the House and I was under the impression that Media Center was closer to Pro home. If I can't find a solution to this, so I have to install XP Pro on the machine and not the Media Center extensions and this will make me really sad :(

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Well, I put t know how you want to watch the video files with the Windows XP Media Center from the file server, because I don t know if the WMC supports this feature.
But if he finds an interesting site on a simple file sharing on Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Pro.

    Please visit this link:

Hope you find the solution. Please let me know.

    Good bye

  • Migration of the domain controller Active Directory of windows 2000 server to a Server 2008.

I have an old machine that is running Windows 2000 server and it's our only one domain controller in a mixed 2000/2003/2008 server environment. I would like to move to one of the servers 2008 Active Directory and make the PDC and withdraw from the old box of 2000.

I saw a sea of documentation about the updated/move ActiveDirectory, but no clear examples of what I need to accomplish.

Can I do a dcpromo on a 2003 server, synchronization of the 2000 box, retire the 2000 Server, then dcpromo th 2008 Server 2003 Server? I know this may seem simplistic to a complicated procedure, but I have not really found anything to support...

A simple link to a procedure taken care of step by step would be great.

Thanks for all the ideas in advance.

  • How to create a local directory on the client and not on the database server?

    Hello

First of all, thank you for taking the time to solve the problem.

I apologize if there are errors in the format used for the display of this issue.

I have a procedure that generates data in the csv file and is loaded into a directory.

I have a requirement to plan this procedure should be performed every week.

I did the above two steps successfully.

but the problem am facing is that files are downloaded in the directory location for the oracle server. but I need the files to load to my own record of operating systems.

IE my PC is not the database server, but I thought to create a directory on the operating system of my own PC C:\ drive.

It is a frequently executed procedure then uses dbms_scheduler.

Can we create a directory on our own PC operating system file. I use Windows 7 OS?

Please find details of version below.

  • External, the customer table, visible directory on the client and the server, doable?

    Hi guys,.

My client wants to use the method of the outer table of the client machine.

Version Oracle db 11.2.0.3, client (sqlplus) version 11.2.0.1.0, AIX operating system

The file system directory in which resides the csv file is made as directory database and it is visible/reading / writing on both servers.

Create table user operating system that is running has read - write access to this directory and the database user has read write in the database directory.

I can do db server load, but not from the server where the client is installed. Gives the error below.

    ERROR on line 1:
ORA-29913: error in executing ODCIEXTTABLEOPEN legend
    ORA-29400: data cartridge error
    Error opening file
    / wload/ga5t/GPFS/App/Env10/Oracle/oracleloaddirectory/EXT_PRICE_LIST_IMPORT_SC_1
    _9044034.log

No idea how it goes? Is it possible to do this when the db directory and the bone is visible on the client server and db?

    Thank you

    Patricia

    Thanks DK.

The risks has been resolved by changing the id level UNIX for user oracle on the db server and then restart.
