Where can I find the Presentation Server administrators. I checked in to Manage administration tool-> Security-> groups, but couldn't find?

The answer for sub questions are the following:
1. Yes, I faced a problem in my hard desk and I changed it & re.installed Windows 7.
2. In case of normal use, I click on the launch of Citrix Web Client icon and access to the ERP server but after changing the office hard it is unresponsive and when executing 'Check solutions online', I get this message.
3. I don't know exactly the version of Citrix ICA because it is installed on the company's server and users access the application after the installation of "Customer MetaFrame Presentation Server (ActiveX) for 32-bit Windows" on the user's PC.

More older Citrix Presentation server ESXi 5

We have a Citrix server which is currently powered by a hamster peg-legged and held together with duct tape. Cost is a problem, then we got a quote for a decent server that can be extended. We would like to install ESXi 5 and have the Citrix Presentation server on a virtual R2 2003 computer. To save money, they do not want to move to a more recent version of Citrix so we will migrate.
They currently have Citrix Presentation Server version 4.5. Who will work in ESXi 5 (on a 2003 R2 VM)?

Can register on EM and Admin Console but not Analytics - down presentation server

I installed 11G on Windows 7 Enterprise. I am able to sign on Enterprise Manager and the Administration Console but not in analytics.
The presentation server is down and there is a message in the nqserver.log about a problem with the oracle.bi.security.service. I pasted the nqserver.log and the sawlog0.log file and the file nqsconfig.ini below.
I checked the BISystemUser into the realms of Weblogic Administration Console/security/myrealm and reset the password.
I also have to reset the password for BISystemUser in Weblogic Enterprise Manager/WebLogic Domain/Security/Credentials/oracle.bi.system
Then restarted services.
I checked to see that there's no lock on DEV_MDS and DEV_BIPLATFORM.
I tried to restart the services on several occasions without any modification.
I don't know what else to check or how to proceed. Is there anything else I should check to identify what I might need to the difficulty of obtaining this race?

Setting permission on presentation server objects
Hi all

I need to set different permission levels for a subset of columns in my model. Example: I have the 'Customer' table, I want to show the column of presentation name, tax Code, punishment to a subset of users with privileges to high level and all the other columns (age, sex, etc.) to other users.
Anyone know if this is possible by using the schema permission on the repository, presentation server? If it's possible, I can filter on a specific role/group?

General properties of the column-> permissions layout and add the Group
Data: table source logical table-> content tab properties

Where are stored the privileges of Presentation Server?

Anyone know where the privileges of presentation server? I know not how to change in obiee (Te access to dashboards, fields) but don't see where these settings are stored.
If they are stored directly in the catalogue and therefore are copied automatically when I copy the catalog to a new environment? It would be special then perhaps that the I do not have the same roles to application in another environment.

Yes, normally, we use different boxes for bi and server prod of the services environment presentation server...

If you install only it will ask you whether to go for custom installation or a full install, you choose custom, then the items that interest you on...

Port of presentation server will not change
If I change the port number in the web.xml file and restart the server (or all services including oc4j) the presentation server always attempts to use the default port number 9710... I tried to add the following line to instanceconfig.xml but that has not helped either...

Web.XML is the config for the plugin Presentation Services (Analytics).

You must edit instanceconfig.xml to change the Presentation Services (sawserver) port listening (like you said you did). Can you post your instanceconfig.xml and the output of netstat-a after your presentation Services service starts.

Creating user in the repository and Presentation Server

I created for OBIEE users in the administration tool, but I don't see users in the list when I want to add to a group on the presentation server. First of all, I need to log on to the server of presentation with this user to be able to add it to a group. The problem is that I have 150 users and I do not intend to log 150 times.

the default style is s_oracle10. So when you want to add a business on the analytical Server logo, I recommend to add the image file in the following directories:

\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\analytics\analytics\res\s_oracle10\images
and
\OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\images

The s_oracle10 is the directory 'style' btw.

When you have done this, you can reference image using PCGG files, like: fmap:images / companylogo.gif.

Next to this solution, it is also possible to use an 'absolute' link for the image file, using the url as: http://www.yourcompany.com/companylogo.gif.

I read in a few places that you can run several servers of presentation on the same physical server, with each of them having their own RPD, web catalog etc..

Someone there experience this and if so, is it easy to install? I will do this on a Redhat Linux Server BI 10.1.3 Server

UTF-8 vs. ASCII - presentation server problem

After using HTTPwatch, the web team has noticed that OBIEE was sending ASCII characters to render the Web page. The web team has suggested that we use UTF8 instead because it will reduce the number of bytes sent.

I tried to figure where this change must be made in OBIEE?

Any ideas as to where I can make this change?

first of all, I agree with Turribeach, this evolution characters of the Web page seem not to be the right starting point for improving performance.
But I'm curious on this subject and know if it can make a difference, and if it is possible to change this setting.

I found some files that can keep this setting. They are all \OracleBI\web\config and are named:
charactersetdefinitions. XML
devicecharactersetlists. XML
localecharactersetlists. XML
localedefinitions. XML

In localedefinitions.xml, you can set the characterlist for each language.

In localcharactersetlists.xml you can find characters by language games, here you can read:

For en-us is the list:








Then maybe you can put utf - 8 as the first characters in the list. I did not have time to test it, then try it for yourself and share the results. Thank you.
