  Use a customization times-new-form-instance and disable all fields on the tab OTHER. Once all fields are disabled, I think that the tab is disabled too.

• icons appears in the forms of oracle.

  I try to display icons on form of Oracle 10 g. I just brought over these forms from another system, and I try to display icons as next record, Polish form etc...
  
  I did the following steps so far. The icons still are not displayed. Appreciate any help.
  
  
  Created a folder in D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java called icons.
  
  Copy all the files, gif and jpeg in icons. Then created a jar file.
  
  D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java > jar - cvf my_icons.jar icons
  
  He created the jar file in the same directory D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java
  
  Also the changes made to these files, as shown below each file.

  Restarted the forms OC4J server after that any changes.

  To test your configuration, you can try to build a URL:

  i.e.
  http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet/icons/IconName.gif

  Does show the icon?

  If this does not work, I would try re - generate the my_icons.jar file, but instead of going directly into the forms/java/icons folder, copy the folder of icons in the root, i.e. c:\icons directory and run the command in the container the icons folder, then redeploy the my_icons.jar file.

  Then try again with the URL if the URL does not work, you still have configuration problems.

  PS: Don't forget to clear the cache of your browser so that the new .jar file is loaded?

  not stored in a .jar file.

• Help submitting the form using php

  Using DW CS5.5, I created a simple contact form 12 field. Rather than using a cgi script to send form data, I prefer to use php.  Can someone provide me with a source for simple instructions on how to do it?  I searched past discussion forums, but can't find anything that will guide me in the specific steps.  The form is already installed on my page, but now I don't know what to do next to make functional, so it will send to my address e-mail, form data when the user clicks the submit button.  I checked online also, but to find the instructions more geared towards those who have more experience or knowledge than me in this kind of things.  Creation of shapes on the page is easy, and I understand the big picture regarding how work of forms, and what happens in the background, but it is impossible to find out what either written in simple language that will tell me step by step what to do after the creation of the form on the page.

  I m facing a problem in my Apex Application.

  I have three ActualAmt, CommAmount, and Comm % fields in my form.

  My requirement is when % ActualAmt and Comm is entered then automatically CommAmount should be calculated on the basis of ActualAmt and Comm %, in the second case, when I enter ActualAmt and CommAmount Comm % should be calculated on the basis ActualAmt and Comm %.

  If having a purchase order that has two different fields of price (regular price per point & subscription price per article for each line item, then a quantity) and then a total field. Finally, there is a checkbox on the form indicating if they sign up for a monthly subscription.

  What I try to do is create a script that totals each line by the current price multiplied by the quantity or the price of the subscription by amount if the subscription checkbox is checked ("Yes"). So far, I've tried several scripts, I found in the forum but no luck at all.

  The box is near the billing fields down, so all the line items first appear in the upper part of the form. Thus, an individual if each line and calculations would amount in total to each line (reg * qty price) when you get off of the form... When you check the subscription all line totals would have changed to reflect the subscription rates on each line (which may be different). Just need help with a single line and I can duplicate for each line...

• Locking under the FORM of Oracle

  Dear friends,

  We have a problem with the FORMS and the table locking if multiple users access the same custom FORM.

  There are 3 blocks in my FORM

  1 header (pointing to the table of the database header) - the user enters the data...

  2 lines ((pointing to the table of database lines)) - user enters data

  3 results (pointing to the Global Temp Table) - based on the information header and row in the table. Result block will be filled with data.

  Not sure how blockages that happened on the tables... If a user session is active more than an hour, then for all the users and lines table locks... Other users are not able to access anythnig on the FORM.

  The header has 2 columns - customer number and customer name. When the user enters the name of the customer... We use COMMIT (not the COMMIT_FORM)

  Lines has 3 columns - Item name, warehouse, and quantity - when the user enters the data for the quantity, then we are using the VALIDATION (not the COMMIT_FORM) and calling a package to poulate data in the Global Temp tables.

  Note:-do not know what the correct community to address this issue.

• In the form of oracle do not allow the cursor to move forward if the value is not entered

  I need to change an existing form in which the cursor should not go forward if no value is entered in the field. There are a lot of articles for this block. If no value is entered for a particular ITEM, then the cursor must not move forward by pressing the Tab key.
  Please let me know what property must be set for this thing to work.

  Suppose I don't want the cursor to return to the first field by pressing TAB after coming from the last field... what to do... ?

  There is more than one thing you could do, but it depends on exactly how you expect the form to work.

  A very simple way to do this would be to create a trigger KEY-NEXT-POINT on the last item in your building.

     NULL;
  

  Tab after the last item would then be disbabled.

  Again, this depends on exactly how you want it works.

  There are a few built-in forms options. See the online help. Watch SET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY - are specifically looking for 'slider Style property.

  I'm a new user in oracle 10g, here I am in form & placing all the icons in a folder, after that I changed the path to the icon file in the default.env file, the path is same where are preserved icons, but I am unable to see the icons running.

  I don't know anything in oracle forms and all I want to do is the following:
  
  I have a table called "fp_log" with 2 columns 'ID' and ' TUI '. "
  I have another table called 'EMP' with column 'FP' which is a 'LONG RAW' type, and another column 'EMP_ID '.
  
  I have a button, and when I press the F11 key I need to write code in it, the code should do the following:
  
  Check if the column 'FP' table 'EMP' has a value or is it a null when EMP_ID = x example
  
  If it has a value and not a null that I have to check if 'ISU' column in the 'FP_LOG' table, where ID in 'FP_LOG' is equal to 1 is equal to 'EMP_ID' to display a message "Bad FP" then the exit code without finishing the rest.
  
  in another language:
  If (FP from EMP where EMP_ID = x) is not empty then

  Why no one is using the new processing system where you don't need the loop in the table and can use the normal syntax with regard to page elements, that references the columns as tabular
