Problem in the form of Oracle Apex 4.2.5 manual insertion process

Hello

I am not able to insert data through tabular presentation. I created manual Insertion and query update, update data are happing but can't insert a data get error line 6' insert. I have the trigger on insert. Please help me to get the process of manual insertion in table form.

Kind regards

Harish Sharma

Why no one is using the new processing system where you don't need the loop in the table and can use the normal syntax with regard to page elements, that references the columns as tabular

: column

For example:

BEGIN

INSERT INTO task_entries

(NAME, env, demo

)

VALUES (: NAME,: env: demo)

);

END;

  • Locking under the FORM of Oracle

    Dear friends,

    We have a problem with the FORMS and the table locking if multiple users access the same custom FORM.

    There are 3 blocks in my FORM

    1 header (pointing to the table of the database header) - the user enters the data...

    2 lines ((pointing to the table of database lines)) - user enters data

    3 results (pointing to the Global Temp Table) - based on the information header and row in the table. Result block will be filled with data.

    Not sure how blockages that happened on the tables... If a user session is active more than an hour, then for all the users and lines table locks... Other users are not able to access anythnig on the FORM.

    The header has 2 columns - customer number and customer name. When the user enters the name of the customer... We use COMMIT (not the COMMIT_FORM)

    Lines has 3 columns - Item name, warehouse, and quantity - when the user enters the data for the quantity, then we are using the VALIDATION (not the COMMIT_FORM) and calling a package to poulate data in the Global Temp tables.

    Note:-do not know what the correct community to address this issue.

When I created my forms, I need to leave out the line, one email because my client does not want the message line and two because those who have tried to fill the online form cannot submit because the 'email' box keep rejecting their email address valid. And I just tried to remove the line in my form and it does not allow me to delete or to mark it as not necessary either.

    Currently, there is no way around the field email forms of the Muse. Another option is to have a look at Jotforms or another third-party provider of shape that Muse has widgets for.

    It is a symptom of textbooks classic does not have read and followed the original instructions to prepare the downloaded files.  You should have two files zip files.  They both must be decompressed in the same directory.  If you unzip using Windows graphic interface - in right click on the name of the file and selecting "extract all...". "the default behavior will be to create a directory, the same name as the zip file and extract in it.  Thus, file_1_of_2 pulls in directory_1_of_2 and file_2_of_2 extracted in directory_2_of_2.  You must override this stupid behavior by default and specify the directory yourself.  And specify the SAME directory for both files.

    Or just go to a command prompt, change directories to the directory where the two zip files are located and deliver "unzip " and "unzip ", and they will both be properly unpack to a directory named "database".

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21674/concept_sub.htm#BEIIBAJD

    N °

    I inspected an other forms and find the same code snippet:

    What is the wwv_flow.accept in the form action attribute? (I guess the procedure submission form)

    Guess correct. It is the process of wwv_flow.accept in the package of the diagram of the APEX_xxxxxx wwv_flow , which is commented "+ this procedure accepts virtually every page flow +".

    How does it work?

    See apex_xxxxxx.wwv_flow to Developer SQL package specification (or whatever IDE you use). Notice how the first parameters of the procedure to accept corresponding to the attributes name HTML elements entry that you have identified? Others include some that match the name of the page elements attributes (name = "p_t01" etc. - There are 100 of those: the source of the page/article in the APEX 100 limit) and 50 f01-f50 parameters in a table /apex_item- generated controls.

    Overly simplified: the browser - HTML and HTTP - specification generates an HTTP request for the form that includes all the names of form controls and the values; It is passed to the web server, which recognizes the URL and its configuration which demand must be managed by the apex_xxxxxx.wwv_flow.accept procedure and call it, match the settings in the HTTP request with those of the package procedure.

    Running an application in a browser that includes development tools that allow you to inspect HTTP requests (I use the network view in Safari Web Inspector). After sending a page, display the generated queries and you will be able to see the form data in the request payload.

    Can we change the attributes id, name and method of form element? For example we have method get or a different form name or id?

    Not in such a way that you would still use APEX.

    Essentially, this is why you use APEX: he manages all aspects of low level, leaving to focus you on the real needs of your applications.

    You have granted the ACL to the RMSR of your database schema, so it is necessary for the APEX_050000 scheme when you use the APEX_MAIL package.

    This is why the ACL must be granted at the APEX 5 Schema: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E59726_01/install.50/e39144/listener.htm#HTMIG29161

    Here's how the ACL must be granted for APEX 5 Schema: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E59726_01/install.50/e39144/listener.htm#HTMIG29162

    NOTE:

    • Create the ACL by logging into the user with SYSDBA SYS privileges.
    • Don't forget to validate after execution of the anonymous block for the creation of ACL.

    dbms_output.put_linethe instrumentation is unnecessary in an environment of APEX (unless the apex_debug.log_dbms_output method has been called). Use apex_debug API methods instead so that information is available in debug mode.

    There is no reason to use dynamic SQL statements in lines 15-17.

    Creating a column named "NO_OF_BCC (GEO)" is not a good idea and is in conflict with the recommendation of the Oracle do not use identifiers in quotes for the names of database objects. This objects will only cause problems and confusion.

    Lines 20 to 23 are a bug. It doesn't hide where any exception occurred in fact. If there is no specific exception that must be handled in this procedure, it should not contain an exception block.

  • icons appears in the forms of oracle.

    Hi all

    I try to display icons on form of Oracle 10 g. I just brought over these forms from another system, and I try to display icons as next record, Polish form etc...

    I did the following steps so far. The icons still are not displayed. Appreciate any help.

    Created a folder in D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java called icons.

    Copy all the files, gif and jpeg in icons. Then created a jar file.

    D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java > jar - cvf my_icons.jar icons

    He created the jar file in the same directory D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java

    Also the changes made to these files, as shown below each file.

    Forms.conf

    AliasMatch ^ / forms/icons / (. *) "D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java\icons/$1".

    Registry.dat

    default.icons.IconPath = http://servername: 7778/forms/java /.

    formweb.cfg

    # Is the applet parameter.
    CodeBase = / forms/java
    # Is the applet parameter.
    imageBase codebase =

    # Forms applet archive for JInitiator
    archive_jini = frmall_jinit.jar, frmMain.jar, frmjdapi.jar, my_icons.jar

    # Forms applet archive definition for other clients (Sun Java Plugin, Viewer applets, etc.)
    Archive = frmall.jar, frmMain.jar, frmjdapi.jar, my_icons.jar

    Also added this line under orion-web-app in the Web.XML - orion.

    < Directory virtual-path virtual = "" / icons "real-path ="D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java\icons"/ >"

    Restarted the forms OC4J server after that any changes.

    To test your configuration, you can try to build a URL:

    i.e.
    http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet/icons/IconName.gif

    Does show the icon?

    If this does not work, I would try re - generate the my_icons.jar file, but instead of going directly into the forms/java/icons folder, copy the folder of icons in the root, i.e. c:\icons directory and run the command in the container the icons folder, then redeploy the my_icons.jar file.

    Then try again with the URL if the URL does not work, you still have configuration problems.

    PS: Don't forget to clear the cache of your browser so that the new .jar file is loaded?

    In addition:
    ========
    Remove the changes made to the forms.conf and orion - web.xml, they are only needed if the icons are
    not stored in a .jar file.

    Forms.conf

    The Java Console offers you nothing in this case. The browser crashes then the JConsole is not available. This type of accident is almost always caused by a conflict with two Java execution environments. In your case it will be Oracle Jinitiator and another... the question is "what the other jre is causing the problem? This could be one of the following:

    1. Sun Java Plugin (YPI/JRE)

    2. Add the browser-toolbars (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc.). All of these toolbars or access an external JRE or include their own within their facilities.

    3. improper installation of JInitiator.

    I recommend the following steps:

    1. close ALL open browsers

    2 uninstall plugin Sun Java and JDK versions. See the Control Panel Add/Remove programs

    3 uninstall all versions of Oracle Jinitiator.

    4 uninstall all toolbar browser add ons like Google Toolbar, etc.

    5 RESET

    6. with all browsers closed, install Oracle Jinitiator. If you use an earlier to 1.3.1.22 Langis version, I recommend to get the latest (1.3.1.30). Remember to change the configuration in formsweb.cfg if you choose a different version and copy the new file to jinit13130.exe to ORACLE_HOME\jinit

    7. open a browser and try to run a form (of course, you need to first start OC4J).
