Disable scripts unsafe on a specific Web site blocking

I use a high school class online who don't crypt as part its Web pages. Many scripts on the pages are unencrypted. Firefox blocks the script whenever I load the page. If I select 'Disable the protection on this page' it will only allow scripts as long as I remains connected. If I leave the page, and then had to go back, the scripts will be blocked again. How can I keep the authorized permenantley scripts?

When the mixed active content blocking feature was first to market in August last in Firefox 23, it is an exchange of views on the creation of an exception of site feature. In the end, it was concluded that most of the sites were quickly adapt and it would have been absurd to build this feature because it might deter others from improving their safety. So currently there as the master power switch to work with.

If you want to easily transformed mixed active content hangs on and off for all sites , you can get this extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/toggle-mixed-active-content/

Note: I have not tested with the new interface of Firefox 29-30. If you do not see his 'A' icon on the main toolbar, check to see if it is there the Customize dialog box, and can be dragged to the toolbar or menu. See: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

  • Specific static IP addresses let happen to specific web sites?

505E PIX firewall allows us to connect to the Internet. All our PCs have static IPS assigned to them. How can I prevent a single PC with the address (ie. 1,2,3,4) to connect to a specific web site on the Internet whose address (ie. 9.8.7.6)?

Here's a quick crack at it based on my understanding of what you are looking for:

access-list outgoing tcp refuse host 1.2.3.4 host 9.8.7.6 eq www

leaving the ip access list allow a whole

Access-group out in the interface inside

There is an access list written on the inside interface. Your first entry prevents your internal host to connect to the external webserver on port TCP 80. The second line is necessary to allow any outbound IP traffic. The second line becomes a requirement when you place an inside interface access list.

The access-group lie command list of 'outside' access to inside interface.

    I hope this helps.

  • I can't connect to a specific Web site

My PC is running w7 Pro x 64 and IE9.  I'm unable to connect to a specific Web site for which I have a valid user id (my email address) and password (for me at the time to register for the Web site). When I try to login, I get a message saying the user name or password is incorrect, a second try results in a message that says that either my username and my password is not recognized - it displays also exactly what I typed so I can see my errors. The user name is correct, but the password it displys is not what I came - he says it is so kxEXkaTT that I had entered the correct password kxEXk1T0, the owner of the site says that they have logged on successfully with my user name and password without any problem at all. I tried to connect from my wife PC and PC friends and have had a complete success. All my different passwords with most of the websites that I use have different similar cases and alpha characters and digital and none of them asked me no problem

Other facts are that I was a regular user of this Web site for 3 years without problem until all the time, I upgraded from IE8 to IE9. The site says that they have thousands of registered members, as I am and have not experienced the problem that I have. I also have my PC protected by major software anti virus check and online protection against viruses and malware. and to my knowledge I don't have a virus problem more than 12 years of using a PC. I always check my incoming emails to the ISP server level and delete everything I do not feel safe on before I have to download the rest on my PC. I also only access sites deemed most is serious busdiness, media, and Government don't respect - no games, etc.

I suspect that I have a few curruption of memory possible in the bowels of IE9, but am worried that I won't lose all my existing data, updates and the settings (as Favorites) if I remove and reinstall from the original CD IE9

Any thoughts on what I should do would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Arthur

  • I get the message: Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Visit the Web site of the manufacturer of the video card for the latest version of the software.

Photoshop has been giving me the warning:

Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Visit the Web site of the manufacturer of the video card for the latest version of the software.

Also other programs are affected.  I suspect a recent download of Adobe.  Can anyone HELP.

No, it has nothing to do with updates of Adobe. There is a problem with your video card driver.

Go directly to the Web site of the manufacturer of the GPU for updates (not Microsoft, not a System Builder).

  • disable the photoshop via the adobe Web site?

I upgraded the hard drive on my notebook (windows 7 pro) by cloning the old. Everything works perfectly, except for Adobe Photoshop CS3. He claims that I need to reactivate, but will not now (reactivation attempts fail). I remember vaguely reading I could disable a computer via the adobe Web site, but cannot find this option now. I tell myself that I have to disable the old hard drive (same computer, but perhaps adobe sees it as another computer), and then I'll have the 2nd year to reactivate on the new hard drive (same computer). I already use 1 of the 2 licenses on my desk.

I can also reach the Chat or email to anyone at Adobe. Apparently, Adobe decided that once a product is sold, they want to support.

I don't know if this can be screwing the licensing system, but the same day that I upgraded my laptop, I also bought the subscription creative cloud for use on another computer (but the same username).

Thanks to you two. Because I was in a hurry today, I disassembled my laptop, reinstalled the old hard drive, started, off CS3, close, then put it all back and the new hard drive and reactive (it didn't the first time and then worked the second time).

In case it can help someone in the future, the licenses can be reset by Adobe via chat. When you follow all the prompts for CS3, licensing in the aid system issues, Adobe is the only support provided through forums. However, I complained to Adobe, and they suggested in the future to contact support with the following:

    > Then click on "still need help? Contact us' to connect with staff online.

  • Cannot connect to a specific Web site

For the last two weeks, I am unable to connect to a specific website (sharks.nhl.com). The user name and the password seem to go through fine (when I give a wrong password I get an error on the site), but the situation changes not connected.

This problem exists on my desktop Linux and work only with Firefox. On my macbook/Firefox 30.0 it works very well on my windows laptop with IE 10 it works fine, on the same Linux with Chrome last he also works very well.

However, it does not work with Firefox for Canonical Ubuntu and Firefox binary downloaded from the mozilla web site. I deleted cookies and other things and there is still no progress. The macbook Firefox and Linux firefox sync via Firefox Sync, for sets of modules are identical.

This problem may be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

Are there special icons on the address bar that blocks Firefox content?

You can get a Lego icon that is possibly colored on the left end of the address bar Firefox blocks a plugin.

You can check if there is a shield icon to the left of the "Site Identity" (globe/lock) button on the address bar which mixed the active content is blocked.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

  • The format for a specific Web site is displayed wrong, but it works fine in other browsers and Firefox's private browsing mode. What gives?

Instead of having the sidebar on the left, I have the sidebar on the right and a big empty space where the text should be. The text is moved to the bottom of the empty space for me. I tried the cookies/cache forces the reload and total emptying, and I am sure that no change of format for manual Web site have been brought.
