Disable the protection against shock - SSD

I was wondering if there was a way to disable the active protection system in my Lenovo Y560. I have recently replaced my original HDD with a SSD, what makes this useless system. This computer is about 3 years and it is currently running Windows 7 Home Premium, if it changes anything.

After reading the forums, I have not found all messages that seem to offer a procedure step by step on how to do this. Tech unsavvy, I limited myself looking for the control panel in the hope of resolving this issue, but nothing helps. I thought that I post here so I'm looking for more information.

Thanks in advance.

Just uninstall the software that allows the protection against shock in Add or Remove Programs Control Panel. This can cause to have an "unknown device" in Device Manager.

  • Is what level of protection against shock disc in Portege R830

    People,

I work in an area where there are a lot of people who wear their laptop Portege (especially the R830) autour while they are still on - mainly well they are switching from a desktop to the meeting etc. rooms and often their transport on an angle. I feel a bit silly because I insist on the mine to sleep before she started.

What level of protection against shock disc is there in these laptops? Am I paranoid or everyone of inviting disaster?

    Thank you

    Hello

First of all its not really good for the drive if the laptop would be inappropriate while the HARD drive is used in this case head read/write from the disk HARD would be hit while holders along but there is a software called Toshiba HDD protection using a sensor built into the laptop. HARD drive protection detects the vibrations and shocks and HARD drive head moves automatically in a safe position to reduce the risk of damage caused by the head in contact with disc.

  • Remove or disable the protection password for the user account

I have two accounts on my computer to my name. One is an administrator account. The other is a local account. I use the local one for all my general purpose computer. The administrator of one I use only to make changes. I created a password for what I believed to be the administrator account. Actually, I created a password for my local account. Now, I have to sign before I can use the computer. I can't find a way to remove or disable the password without deleting my local account. If I delete the account I'll lose everything in the account. We know how if it is possible to delete or disable a password protected account password?

    Hello

Control Panel - Power Options - "require a password on wakeup" - value "need not."
    -Save the changes.

Desktop computer (Windows key + D) - right click on an empty area - customize - lower right Screen Saver.
Uncheck the box - the resume, login screen - APPLY - OK.

  • The update of Firefox 22.0 will disable the protection of my Symamtec?

It is said that it will disable my 13.3.0.9 - 5 Symantec Intrusion Prevention so I shouldn't update, right?

jmk909er, that you are still not sure. Your antivirus will continue to work normally as the message to disable on the version of the Extension that you have which was not compatible with Firefox 22.0.

  • Continues to 'nightly has blocked content that's not safe' block ad nauseam despite the setting 'Disable the Protection on this Page' - why?

I have a page that is served from a local apache httpd. On this, I have an iframe with the served content from an external http source.

Does not show every night. I can say to show the content of the iframe by choosing 'turn off Protection on this Page. Unfortunately after a refresh (F5) the blocking comes into play again.

Please provide an option set an exception for "This Page" permanently.

  • So far, no improvement in the protection against Spam

Seeing no improvement with the anti-spam protection so far in Blog comments, despite the new BC update from yesterday that started the Akismet anti-spam protection.  Just after the update, I reset my settings in the comments to require comment approval and the new anti-spam Protection setting, and then spent a LOT of time marking nearly 800 previous comments submitted over the past months as Spam.

But yesterday and continues today, my blogs are always getting hit with the same amount of spam as in the past, and of course, it's the same pirates who have sent such things throughout: PayDay loans etc.

For the record, there must be a robot submitting this spam because on my comment form I do not display the Web site field so that humans can not complete (because they do not) but still it's fill, so it must be a robot with that sort of thing that reads HTML and ignorning flow my CSS display : none on the domain of the Web site.

Frustrating... hoping that something will improve because all my customer sites are also infected by spam... customer feedback for me that they are concerned that the middle of BC is not safe and they worry about maintaining security of transaction as well as the result all the spamming.

    Hi all

We just released the new spam protection features.

I also created a doc on this forum explaining best practices on how to avoid SPAM:http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2882

  • With respect to the protection against copying

3 things... Kind of a relic of a closed thread

    1. the new patch may have been what stopped my previously reported weird and very incorrect error messages, discovered shortcomings in my video.

I get they shouldn't be here now and that is fixed, but I am convinced that the new patch help me get the burn to complete! Less crashes too.

I SAY EVERYONE GET THIS UPDATE!

2 type a vestige of an earlier discussion where Bill said only the masters of glass production can implement the copy protection. For real?

I wonder, since I've seen claims of a gas protection DVD on the web plan (must be true, right?) is again a copy protection wimpy (to stop honest thieves) a burner can do? As stated earlier, if a DVD is part of a legal discovery, and copy to protect yourself, no matter how easily broken, a customer would have to break the law to copy. Yes, I also would put a copyright notice (c) about it too. Just insurance. I also understand that the cost may not be banned, but I'm curious, (for example Macrovision).

    3. Finally, watermarks. Can't seem to find out how its done on a DVD, or any reference to it with PRe8... Is a digital watermark possible and any value?

As Bill titration module is a possibility. If you want it fast and simple you can drag the area of text anywhere, try different fonts, colors, styles and sizes, and access to a range of text effects presets.

    See you soon,.

  • Why UAC cannot have an option to approve specific programmes, but let the protection against all the other changes to the system?

I agree with the general idea of the UAC in Windows 7, but I find it annoying to always have approve the programs that I use all the time.  Why MS cannot allow permanent authorizations for specific programs, but not others?

With all programs or only some?

Usually if only some sound probably a problem with the program, maybe it was designed for a previous version of the victory.

  • Impossible to enable protection against vibration HDD

I disabled the protection against vibrations and it cannot activate again. I consulted with utilities and the screen to turn on is grayed out.
I called Toshiba support and they told me to restore to an earlier date. Any date, I chose, I have an error message whenever I try to restore.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

I assume you are talking about HDD Protection Utility.
In my opinion, you must remove the system installation tool.
Should consult the European driver of Toshiba page and must download and install the HDD Protection Utility.
Then restart the laptop and check this tool works.

  • Photosmart 7520: How disable the cartridge on my printer HP 7520 protection

    Hello

I would like to know how to disable the protection of the cartridge on my printer HP 7520

    Thank you

    Hello sandkeyfred,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you want to remove Protection of the cartridge"of the printer.

This can not be removed.  It is in place to ensure that the cartridges do not run out and cause problems with the ink delivery system.  Here is a link that explains the use of ink in inkjet printers.

  • Replace the HARD drive with SSD on a T530 - noob question

    Hi all

I have a T530 with conventional hard drive. I want to replace it with an SSD (probably Samsung 840 Pro). When I look at the replacement Web site instructions, they refer to the use of spacers during the installation of an SSD (as opposed to rubber rails that frame apparently my current HARD drive).

Do I need these spacers in order to install an SSD? If so, should I buy Lenovo?

    Thank you very much

    Jason

If it's the same outer dimensions transfer you the rails on the replacement drive rubber. They add protection against shocks to the reader while an SSD is pretty shockproof. It does not float around well! If you do not use the rails lose you and probably never find them again if needed.

  • How to disable the boot into single user mode SIP?

    Hi all

My MacBook Pro (bought in May 2011, out of warranty at this stage) is not able to start. I think that the graphics card is dead, I can boot into single user mode and run the Apple Hardware Test (no problem found). I found this acticle (https://people.cam.cornell.edu/~zc227/extras/early2011mbp_graphics.html), but I can't follow the steps to start the Mac to avoid the AMD card, such as the SIP is activated (cannot move road file extensions).

I can't boot into recovery mode, due to the inability to start the graphical mode. Any other way to disable SIP?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ana

In the developers page: security configuration is stored in NVRAM, rather than in the file system itself. As a result, this configuration applies to all Mac OS X installations across the entire machine and persists through installations of OS X than Protection of the integrity of support system.

To enable or disable the Protection of the integrity of the system, you must start on recovery OS and run the csrutil(1) command from the Terminal.

    Integrity https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204899 Protection System

This command can be run without root privileges and will tell you whether or not the SIP is enabled.

to find out whether the SIP is enabled or disabled, run

    status of csrutil

    to disable SIP:

copy & paste the following and then press ENTER:

    csrutil disable

    To activate the SIP

    csrutil enable

After activation or deactivation of the Protection of the integrity of the system on a machine, a reboot is required.

  • How to disable the safe_mode of Adobe DC using cust Assistant?

Hi do anyone know how I can disable the protected mode at startup in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC using the Customization Wizard or by using the registry? I found articles for the XI version and version 10 but do not know if these will work with DC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    CW

I don't know how to do it with the Customization Wizard, but I can tell you how to do it via the registry.  It depends on the installation version number; Download registry scripts below to see what to change.

See this topic for an explanation of the different version numbers: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1856824

  • Why should I update to the 'New' Firefox, when, by doing so, I have to Disable Symantec? If your system doesn't work well with it, so I'm in a dilemma, because I need this program to offer all the protection that I absolutely need the Web.

I get a pop up asking me to upgrade to the new Firefox, but then I get a notice that the upgrade will not work with Symantec, my Norton account that protects my machine of various things on the Internet. I just won't do that. He must either find a way to do the upgrade works with Symantec, or buy some other, equal protection for me.

Firefox is not disable the entire program Synmantec, just the Symnantec of extensions for Firefox. And these extensions can be easily updated to the new version of Firefox by running a Symantec / Norton Live Update, the new version of Firefox is installed.
