  It looks like a hardware problem.   So, what kind of mouse you have?   If it's a touchpad, consider getting a real mouse and disable the Touchpad.   So the only way the charms bar would appear is when you moved your pointer to a wing or pressed Win - C (or a more specific keyboard shortcut that opened a particular "charm").   The latter is the most reliable method to use the "charms" (without reliable touchscreen support) IMO.

  Thanks for posting a screenshot, this is useful! Let's try this workaround... fingers crossed:

  Go to C: > Program Files (x 86) > HP > HP system event

  Search for the file named SysInfo.exe and rename it (any name... could be SysInfo1.exe)

  I hope that it prevents to open with the shortcut.

  SHIFT + U should work, please uninstall and re-install Adobe Reader Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution.

  If you press the ESC key when you turn on the computer, it should give you a start menu.

  Select Configuration of the BIOS (F10). This will take you to a configuration utility. Arrow during setup of the system.

  You should now have the option to disable the action keys.

  I bought a computer laptop ac179tx HP15 that comes with freeDOS. I installed windows 10 and all the drivers that are given on the HP website. The shortcut keys for control of brightness, volume, etc. do not work even after you have installed all the drivers.
