Disable the UAC in VISTA window

Hello

How to disable UAC in Windows Vista using LabVIEW Control window?

I did this VI (see attached). This VI works, if I have manually disabled the UAC window (regedit: "Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System - EnableLUA = 0 [DWORD]) of the control panel or regedit.

If I run my VI on a computer that has ON UAC, I can't open the registry key. Although, if I manually go to regedit and
change the variable windows EnableLUA to zero and restart the computer.
Then, I'll be able to control this LabVIEW registry key.

Is
It's kind around to disable UAC only with LabVIEW. This means,
is it possible to change the EnableLUA variable Windows when I
previously, I have UAC running?

Thank you

Hi JPLO,

If you run your VI as long as limited or in admin approval mode user, I expect not to be able to disable admin approval mode. Try right-clicking on the LabVIEW icon in the Start Menu and select "run as Administrator" and then run your VI.

  • How - where - to disable the touchpad in Vista?

I am running Vista on a laptop Sony VGN-FZ290 and have scoured these forums for the location of a pad touchscreen selector switch, nothing happens.

    -There is nothing in either of the tabs under the mouse-> properties of the mouse that relates to the touch pad;

    -There is no results for the search of everything about "SCR";

-In the Device Manager under "mice and other pointing devices-> Alps Pointing-device for VAIO--> Driver", the button disable is... People with disabilities. It is gray and unusable.  The "Uninstall" button, this is pending, but for the frequent and fun moments when Bluetooth won't connect with the mouse to do I uninstall and reinstall the mouse in the Bluetooth menu, I need to have the touch pad to move.

Is it possible and to simply stop this unbearable cushion and turn it back on, such as a function key?  (I read something on Fn-> F7, but which refers to something related to the LCD screen).  It is some specific quirks of Sony, or is there another place to watch that I missed?  If I had a dime for every time I deleted something accidentally dropping an inch on this #% $* & ^! buffer while typing, I'd be rich beyond my wildest dreams...

    Please notify.

In fact, I opened the properties of the mouse and the chart in my link is totally the same with mine (Windows Vista Business). I don't have the tabs Tapping, int. Miscellanuous and Bluetooth you have. Try this: in the button tab of properties under the button, peripherals, configuration on the menu drop down select your touchpad. It could be a missing device setting tab, and maybe you also don't have the tray icon for your pointing device which could lead you to the mouse a quick way to toggle the touchpad. On the graph, it is a red icon for synaptics, your should be a different icon for Alps pointing device. You also mentioned that the unusable button disabled in Device Manager could be linked to the missing device setting tab. Or it could be the pointing device can be disabled for a reason, or the driver has problem. You can always use the update button in the driver tab?

  • disable the automatic driver install windows 7 Home premium

I have a problem installing my dell AIO 922 printer. It is said that I should avoid windows install the drivers.

Like the windows version family premium is not a policy editor group that I need to know what to change in the registry to prevent the installation of the drivers when I connect my USB printer so I can let the driver installation program with dell windows do its work.

Anyone know how to disable the automatic installation of the driver without the Group Policy Editor?

    Thank you

    Hello, Willem.

Make a test with the steps below:

-Click Start (lower left corner of the desktop)
-Right click on "computer" and select Properties.
-On the left side, just below the tasks, select "Device Manager".
-Locate your device, right click and select Properties.
-Select the tab 'pilot' and click on uninstall.
-Click ok and restart the computer.

If this isn't the case, the only workaround for this problem is to install the latest driver on the manufacturer's Web site to overwrite the current driver.

    Kind regards

  • Disable the automatic connection for Windows 7 with 1 single active account.

I've searched high and low on Google but all I could find are methods to allow the automatic connection.

Is it possible to have Windows 7 load to the top of the selection of Auditors even screen with 1 single active account?

I remember what is a function available in XP.

There are probably more simple methods, but it certainly works: create a fake account, then bring it to be hidden from the logon screen. The following batch file will do it for you when it is run under elevated privileges. Of course, you must disable the usual automatic connection setting via this command:

    Control userpasswords2

And here's the batch file. Use the copy & paste - do not retype! Note that the line starting with
"echo > % RegFile" is a very long line that ends in 'UserList]. " Not to break upward.

    off @echo
    Set RegFile="%temp%\reg.reg".
    echo > RegFile % REGEDIT4
    echo > RegFile % [HKey_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList]
    echo > RegFile % "DummyUser" = DWORD: 00000000
    Regedit RegFile %
