I updated Firefox to v. 10.0. Since then, my Norton toolbar is disabled. I relays on Norton Identity Safe to browse the web and protect my password. Now, unless I can get it working again, I stop using Firefox and come back to "the other browser. I updated Norton repeatedly. I spent 3 hours with the help of Norton a couple of days only to find out that there is no solution for Firefox 10.0. This must be corrected via Firefox, unless there is a solution that we are not aware of. Do you know of any?
The update of Norton for Firefox 10.0 came out only 3 or 4 hours ago.

My norton toolbar is disabled in the registry. How can I fix it
In the technical section, I found and the entry that says fake Norton Toolbar. How can I activate it. I have already updated all and I all downloads Norton.
Update of Norton toolbar for Firefox 8 is out-> http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360/Firefox-8-Support-for-Norton-Toolbar/td-p/581640
You may need to reactivate 2 extensions for Norton in the Add-ons > Extensions after installing Firefox 8 (read the forum post Norton preceding). Firefox 8 automatically disables third-party modules. When you start Firefox 8 for the first time (and only the first start of Firefox 8 time), you are given the option to check the items you want to be active. After that, activation of the modules can be done in the Add-ons > Extensions.

QuestionHow to enable or disable an application such as Adobe Flash Player or a Norton Toolbar?
Hello
Click the IE 9 gear icon in the upper right of the window and choose "Manage Add-ons." Select the toolbar and Extensions in the left pane, under Add-on Types, and scroll down to the entry for the Adobe flash player and the Norton toolbar. Choose one of these, then click Disable in the lower right.and the next time you start IE, a notice will appear at the bottom of the window to inform you that the particular plug-in is ready for use. Click on the button "do not allow".Thank you. -

latestsversion of 38.0.1 of firefox disable my norton toolbar
quite simple, I'm going to the addons and she said dryly. Norton Toolbar is not compatible with Firefox 38.0.1. I have so gon3 back to firefox version37.0.2 which I was warned of SERIOUS security problems.
Firefox starts to look like Microsoft in its 'explanation '. It worked before, now, when I update it's suddenly not compatible.
We know all that the coders made a mistake in the NWEST version... so why not fix it. I'm starting to think that I can go back to Internet Explorer...
Yes Firefox, when will you Firefox compatible with the extremely popular norton toolbar, ID Vault etc.
I don't think this will fix any settings users proipose... can only MOZILLA.

How can I return to a version of Firefox that is compatible with the Norton Toolbar?
After that I have updated to the latest version of Firefox, the Norton toolbar is disabled. I would go back to a previous version that is compatible with the Norton toolbar. Can I do this?
For security reasons, it is preferable not to decline to 40 Firefox. I could refer you to this thread for a more in-depth review and suggestions: screwed up why Firefox NEW Norton Internet Security?

How can I REMOVE, do not add the Norton toolbar?
Norton toolbar started coming I opened FF. Yes, I can manually 'uncheck the box' in the toolbar in bottom-box to remove it from the screen. Nevertheless, he continues to come up on free. A nuisance. I do not see IT... at all.
Add-on toolbars are usually generated by an extension. You can disable the Norton Toolbar extension in the page modules. Either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then check Norton Toolbar on the right side and you should find an off button.
More information on the management of unwanted toolbars: remove a toolbar which took in charge your search Firefox or the home page.

Firefox hangs out because of norton toolbar - get corrupted files
Hello
Recently, Firefox crashes * much * to exit. Sometimes I quickly leave Firefox when I switch to another application, and then a few seconds after the release, the crash reporter will appear.
I've read elsewhere that it could be caused by the Norton Toolbar. I have the latest version of Firefox 38.0.5 and the Norton Toolbar 2014.7.12.14, and I think they are compatible, but I don't think.
In addition, I make violations of integrity on my PC Windows 8.1. SFC is display of corrupted files. I was able to set this number, only to return the next day. I understand that a program ending abruptly can cause these corruptions, so I wonder if Firefox is the cause?
In a world of perfect Mozilla and Norton would work out their differences. For now I have disabled the Norton toolbar, which is not a solution because I need to stay safe as I Browse. I'd rather not spend in IE or Chrome or the other. This isn't a solution.
Everyone knows about this problem? Does anyone have a solution for my particular case crashing on the release of Firefox?
Thank you
MRINTRBL7
MichaelHello. It has been another week. Still no hangs out. I think that uncheck use hardware acceleration has worked.

Everythings gone Norton toolbar, Extension tab/Favorites etc.
A place on the right side of the computer alerted me of updates available... Mozilla has been one... I chose it and it seemed that he didn't know that I already have mozilla, said ready to install mozilla. Anyway, now my Norton does not work and I spent like $ 80 every year since I got it.
This seems suspicious, especially as you now have Firefox 27, which is several months old now.
Could you try to install Firefox 30 from here:
https://www.Mozilla.org/Firefox/all/ (scroll down to your language)
Check if you can re - activate Norton on page modules. Either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. On the right side, do scroll disabled extensions (gray background) and see if you can activate the Norton Toolbar.
A little luck?

Why Norton Toolbar will not work with Firefox 23.0.1?
Norton Toolbar 2013.4.1.2 is disabled and there is no option to turn it on. I've updated my Norton 360 with all latest updates. Norton site says that it has updated its software to be compatible with Firefox 23.
Thank you in advance,
LarreyFinally solved my problem. I had to uninstall and reinstall Norton 360 and when I updated and rebooted I had the last Norton Toolbar, v2012.4.2.2
For some reason any before the re-setup of Norton 360 my Norton Toolbar would not be up to date to the latest version. V2012.4.1.2 Norton Toolbar is not compatible with Firefox v23.0.1
At least now I have my Norton Toolbar with Firefox.
