Disabled wireless LAn

I just reinstalled Windows 7 on a HP DV6t-2100.  I tried to go online, but he said that the wireless LAN is disabled. I went into device management and it has not been shown, but there were several icons (yellow upside down triangle exclamation points) that said to other devices. I clicked on them. He asked me to load the drivers of th. I don't know what these devices are for. I downloaded all the drivers and I tried to install on the machine, but I'm still coming up empty.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  I just watched the notebook. In the "Other" device on disk management, they are listed: 1 device Base 2 system. 3 base system device. 4 base system device. Network to control 5. Unknown device

Try this:

Download and install HP Support Assistant:

www.HP.com/go/hpsupportassistant

When you search for updates, HPSA will identify missing drivers and present them to you for installation.

  • Wireless LAN adapter is disabled

Hello! I'll try to explain as best I can. One day that my computer was real slow so I decided to factory restore my laptop, I did. But since after that, I can't use my wifi for internet access. The only way I can connect to the internet today is ethernet cable. I called HP Support for help and they said needed me a driver would have had to send a technician but I didn't pay for this service since I'm sure that I can download everything what I need online for free on the site of HP.

So, a little more information on my problem. The icon in the lower right shows a computer with an X on it. My F12 key continues with a clear blue lid upwards.  When I go to the HP Connection Manager it says Wi - Fi (Wireless LAN) disabled by the Device Manager. When I go to Device Manager > network adapters, all the drivers that I see are these three

    "Device Bluetooth (personal area network).

    "Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM TDI Protocol"

"Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller #2.

That's what I see. Am I missing any other drivers? Thank you!

The laptop is HP Pavilion G4 running Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit).

I just re - install my laptop Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) for Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit).

But I just realized that there is no "HP Connection Manager", so I downloaded it from the internet.

When I turned on the wifi of "HP Connection Manager", he says "Wi - Fi (Wireless LAN) is disabled by the Device Manager".

    What should I do next?

    Thank you!

    Hello:

You will probably need to install the driver for the wireless card there.

If you see a device network controller listed in the Manager of devices, then you certainly need to install the driver for the wireless card model that your laptop uses wireless.

    Hello

This seems odd, that if you can not turn it off with the wlan switch, it may be a malfunction of the equipment. Have you tried to restore factory settings? Please, do it. If she doesn't fix it, there is hardware problem. I have never met such problems.

  • Satellite L750 - Wireless LAN is disabled, no my home WLAN connection

Hello, I have some problem with my Satellite L750. It has a called Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless adapter which seems to be in place.

When I turned on my laptop I noticed it was not connected to any network, so I searched and found that it could not find. I checked on my phone (on which I am writing this) and there is my network and many others who are available to connect and mine works great on my phone. I tried to reset the router and nothing happened, I could always connect on my phone and tablet.

I tapped into the wireless software and found the so-called "ConfigFree". In this, I found "Connectivity Doctor". He said that there was a problem with the adapter, and then, after having discussed below, I found he said that 'Wireless LAN Off' next to a red picture of a switch.

Does anyone know how to reactivate it?

You can activate WLAN card by using the FN + F8 key combination?

  • Wireless LAN

I have a HP P6640f desktop with ralink 802.11n wireless LAN card.  Since I'm in the office, the intensity of the signal was low compared to other units (for example, HP laptop).  Recently, the intensity of the signal has dropped and speed, which never exceeded tb Mb, dropped as low as 11 t.  I just drop a new router, but it has not solved the problem.  I installed a usb wifi adapter and I can get speeds up to 150 MB and download speeds jumped 50 10 MB with the installed adapter to nearly 20 MB with the usb adapter.  I tried to reinstall the network card, but no luck.  Any ideas how should I proceed?

    Hello again @P1006User,

I suggest you use the HP support document: using Microsoft System Configuration (Windows 7) through your startup items and eliminate any that reference your old card WiFi. If you don't know one that might disable all and start the reactivation of their groups until you identify the most appropriate.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Satellite L50 - C - impossible to update Realtek Wireless LAN Driver

    Hello

Whenever I try to install the Driver Realtek Wireless LAN 2023.17.731.2015 using Toshiba Service Station, the program starts and the permissions window arrives, I click Yes but nothing happens. No other window does not appear, and the update is still in service station as if nothing happened.
Is there any fixes for this?

    I am using a Satellite L50 - C

    Thanks for any info

It could be interference from program, first go into your software settings in your BIOS, go to security and disable secure boot. This can sometimes prevent update programs. And then perform a clean boot, follow these instructions to make a boot minimum https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135
Then, disable your antivirus and firewall completely and run the update again.

Have you tried a BIOS update?
This you will find also on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

You have disabled all the security features for testing?
I mean hidden SSID, MAC address filtering and so far. Maybe that's the problem.

  • Wireless LAN on WinXP in Satellite L40 - 12N

    Hello

    I recently received a Satellite L40 - 12N with Windows Vista installed.

After the replacement of Windows Vista with Windows XP Pro SP2,.
I can't get my Wireless LAN want to work more.

I installed the drivers Atheros WLAN for XP.
    Driver installation has been successful,
and according to the Windows Device Manager, everything works correctly.

However, I can't detect my router wireless from 5 feet away.
I think it has to do with the WLAN switch in front of the laptop.
Is - this switch requires a special driver or software?

Or is there another solution to this problem?

    Kind regards

    Hello cries

As much as I know switch itself didn't need software. Enable/disable wireless network card you can use the combination of keys FN + F8 but it should also work without this key combination.

Try to reboot your router and check again please. He contributes to several times for me. ConfigFree is preinstalled on your laptop?
