Disabled wireless lan adapter. How can I solve it it?
The laptop is a HP EliteBook 8440p running Windows 7 Professional Win7Pro.
The HP Wireless Assistant has the following message: Wireless LAN adapter: this device is disabled in the Device Manager and cannot be activated from Deputy Wirelss. It can still be disabled.
I checked the Device Manager do not see where to put them on.
There is a blue light on the top of the keyboard and on the front of the laptop.
It is enabled in the bios.
Trying to resintall the driver.
The model of the wireless device # installed is:
Intel model: 622anhmw
SPS: + 572509-001 OB
Any advice on how to proceed? I hope that to avoid a complete resinstall.
Hello:
At this point, I have no idea except to say, for some reason, the map is dead, and that your laptop is still under warranty, so I would contact HP Support.
Look in the wireless device and see if somehow the radio got turned off.

I can access wireless internet... but in lan, I can not... It is showing there is no default gateway... How can I solve this?
Hello
1. you have from any other computer connected to the same network? If logged in, you are able to access the Internet on the other computer?
2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?
3. What is the brand and model of the router?
In the meantime, follow these steps and check.
Method 1:
First, you try to run the troubleshooter from network built into windows 7 and check if it can help solve you the problem of connection to the Internet.
Access the link below and follow the steps.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7
Method 2:
If the problem persists, you can manually assign the IP address and the default gateway and check if it works very well. Before assigning the IP address and the default gateway manually, make a note of the IP address on the computer. To do this open command prompt, type ipconfig and press to enter. This displays the IP address, make a note of it.
To manually assign the IP address and default gateway, follow these steps:
a. in the system, right click on network icon tray. Choose the open network and sharing.
b. right-click on the connection to the Local network and click Properties. c. double-click Protocol Internet Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and assign the IP address manually.
Example: Old IP address is 192.168.0.1
Replace the IP 192.168.0.50
d. let the subnet mask and default gateway are the same.
Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
Gateway by default, would usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
e. click apply then click Ok and restart the computer and check if it helps to solve the problem.
Method 3:
You can also try to contact the manufacturer of the router and try to reset the settings of the router and check if that helps you solve the problem.
Method 4:
Also try to uninstall the network card in Device Manager, then restart the computer. Later allow Windows to install generic drivers and check if it works very well.
Before you uninstall the network card, I you suggests to create a System Restore Point manually, so that in this case, a problem occurs when performing these steps, you can always perform a system restore.
Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the network card.
a. click on start
b. the start search box, type "devmgmt.msc" and press on enter
(c) in Device Manager, expand network adapters
d. right-click on the network adapter and uninstall.
e. restart the computer, and then reinstall the network card.
When uninstalling device drivers make sure you put a check mark against 'delete the driver for this device '.

Cannot start error code 10 messege on my wireless lan adapter
I tried almost all day with no luck. The computer is wireless, or at least it used to be. Now in Device Manager, I have the yellow exclamation on my wireless lan adapter. I tried all the solutions proposed by the troubleshooting without result. Cannot update the driver. I get the messege that no updates are available, and cannot back the driver because there is nothing to restore. Where can I download a wireless adapter lan 802. 11 b/g wn5301a? Is it possible to plug a USB to my new iPad Pro, to transfer PDF files and some Jpeg files from the USB key with an adapter of lightning? If there is NO adapter, how can I get these files on the USB key and my iPad pro? I need these PDF files transferred my I touch pro. Any suggestions? Please
Thank you
Mike Tingey
The iPad does not support USB keys. There are some wireless flash drives that can be used, but not the classical records. I suggest you transfer files to a computer and their synchronization then back to the iPad via iTunes.

Question
On the right of the adressbox, I always have Yahoo then Google, how can I solve that, I already delete Yahoo from the list in the box search, but every time I start firefox Yahoo is back. Thanks Ron Mijtelen ter, Amsterdam.Hi Ron,
Have you looked at article in the Knowledge Base using the search in Firefox bar? There are lots of good information in there. You happen to have an installed Yahoo! toolbar? You must disable or delete as well if you do. Try to start Firefox in Mode safe mode by holding down the SHIFT key while starting Firefox. If you have any problems using the safe, it's a matter of add-on or extension.
Hope this helps!

I get this message at startup ' 3rd Master Hard Disk:S.M.A.R.T. bad condition. " -What this means and how can I solve this problem?
SMART is a technology on newer computers that allows the computer to monitor the health of hard drives in your computer. Something happened to one of your readers that detects the smart as a problem, and she's trying to warn you proactively to this topic before it fails.
It may be also that you have installed a very old hard drive that does not support the CHIP and the monitor reports that it can not read the drive status.
So depending on your level of knowledge and experience, you can watch to replace the hard disk that is reported, or you can disable SMART followed to make the message disappears. The second option but then means if it is really a failure, it is likely any work stoppage or corrupted so data you do note to solve.

I am trying to install application constant guard Internet Security of Comcast. After trying to download and install the product, I get and RAM error message indicating I need 512 MB of RAM to install this product, and I only have 448 MB of RAM available. What happened to the 64 MB of RAM lack and how can I solve this problem. Thank you
The only way to see more of RAM is to install a graphics card and disable the onboard graphics of your motherboard. If you do this, you should be able to see all the 512 MB of it.
That being said, I will repeat what I said before...You can always buy more RAM and install it on your motherboard. Go to crucial.com for more information. In addition, you should review install 'Internet Security' application or suite. They are not necessary (you can easily configure Windows so that it is very safe) and they often ruin the performance of a PC.If you want advice in "hardening" your PC security, let know us.
