A Wi - Fi (Wireless LAN) connection is disabled in Device Manager

The laptop is HP Pavilion G4 running Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit).

I just re - install my laptop Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) for Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit).

But I just realized that there is no "HP Connection Manager", so I downloaded it from the internet.

When I turned on the wifi of "HP Connection Manager", he says "Wi - Fi (Wireless LAN) is disabled by the Device Manager".

What should I do next?

Thank you!

Hello:

You will probably need to install the driver for the wireless card there.

If you see a device network controller listed in the Manager of devices, then you certainly need to install the driver for the wireless card model that your laptop uses wireless.

Hello! I'll try to explain as best I can. One day that my computer was real slow so I decided to factory restore my laptop, I did. But since after that, I can't use my wifi for internet access. The only way I can connect to the internet today is ethernet cable. I called HP Support for help and they said needed me a driver would have had to send a technician but I didn't pay for this service since I'm sure that I can download everything what I need online for free on the site of HP.

So, a little more information on my problem. The icon in the lower right shows a computer with an X on it. My F12 key continues with a clear blue lid upwards.  When I go to the HP Connection Manager it says Wi - Fi (Wireless LAN) disabled by the Device Manager. When I go to Device Manager > network adapters, all the drivers that I see are these three

    "Device Bluetooth (personal area network).

    "Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM TDI Protocol"

"Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller #2.

    Hello

This seems odd, that if you can not turn it off with the wlan switch, it may be a malfunction of the equipment. Have you tried to restore factory settings? Please, do it. If she doesn't fix it, there is hardware problem. I have never met such problems.

  • Network controller wireless disabled by Device Manager

    Hello team,

I recently installed Windows 7 again on my hard drive and then I downloaded all the drivers for my laptop from the HP website. My laptop is HP Pavilion DV6 - 2155dx Entertainment. I installed all the drivers, but when installing controller driver Realtek Ethernert, I found an error, he stated that "the Realtek network controller is not found. If deep sleep Mode is activated Please cable. And also, while installing Atheros drivers, I found this error "the device may not be present or may have been ejected / disconnected from the system." Insert or reinsert now' I also installed HP Wireless Assistant after installation and reboot, the wireless assistant says that wifi is disabled (light orange on the keyboard) but when I try to enable it, it turns blue, but it indicates that the wireless adapter is disabled by the Device Manager. I also checked the menu boot or bios and found that it was for the already active wifi. In Device Manager I can find the device with yellow signal. "I'm not able to understand what exactly the error is like in the Device Manager it is showing the device and installing the drivers, is to show that it is ejected / disconnected.

    Could you please help.

You probably want the one driver file if you allow Windows to manage the wireless connection.

  • Satellite L500 - wireless network adapter is missing in Device Manager

Hi guys, I have read a lot of discussion but not found a job of answer to my problem and yet, although this doesn't seem to be a common problem, so I was wondering if someone can help out me. Model laptop is L500-1VT. There is no switch on / off external WiFi.

    In short:
-Awake portable sleep, already before his pan was connected to wifi, but suddenly had no connection.
-Adapter doesn't not appear in Control Panel, so checked Device Manager. Isn't there. : S

-Thought that maybe something has come loose? But then checked msinfo32.exe and adapter was seen here.
-Read a lot of discussion about it being from PVAT with FCU, then followed advice doing reinstalls and uninstalling and reinstalling driver wlan (this being seen in lost msinfo32.exe.) Unfortunately, it did not work. Still not apparently visible to windows.
-Fn + F keys never worked and after reinstall of the above programs still do not work.
-Wireless is enabled in the bios.

-However, and I don't know if it's the crux of the problem. * Wireless is DISABLED in HWsetup.exe. When I try to turn it on, it says reboot needed. If I do that immediately, or much later, I get a blue screen and memory dump.* so I'm sure it's a software problem.

-J' also tried restores system and disks of microsoft repair. But I am at a loss about what to do now, so use my phone via USB WiFi to connect to MTAs.

If anyone has any ideas, it would be great!

    Hello

WLAN works when you restart your laptop?
Latest version of the BIOS is installed on your laptop satellite?
Have you tried updating the BIOS too?

And Yes, last question: do you use the original OS that you got with your laptop (recovery image)?

  • Wireless dead after reinstalling Windows. Device Manager can't see the map

    Hello

I have a laptop model Lenovo 3000 N200 14W 0687.  It was teeming with virus so I wiped the hard drive and installed Windows XP Home Edition from scratch.  Now Device Manager can't see the wireless adapter and Wireless does not work.  I tried to download and install the Wireless driver on the Lenovo site (I don't have a disc of relocation); but I got errors.  Anyone know what could cause this and a fix?

If you are interested, here are the details of what happened when I tried to download and install the drivers:

Device Manager gives me the adapters three following network:
    Network adapter 1394
    Broadcom NetLink (TM) Fast Ethernet
    MAC bridge Miniport

None of which resemble wireless cards. So I used the link http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/ot/en/DriversDownLoads/Drivers.htmlto try out. Enter my serial number L3X3516 took me to a support page client lenovo that says

Total 13 drivers need to be repaired/upgraded, 9 drivers in need of repair, please click the "Download" button to begin to repair

    One of them was this:

    Intel (r) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection

I downloaded it and it says: 'the contents of this file cannot be unpacked. the executable file that you are trying to run has been damaged. You can get another copy of the file, verify its integrity, and then try again"

So I used google to find this site:

    http://www.getpcmemory.com/drivers/download-Lenovo-3000-N200-type-0769-notebook-Windows-XP-Vista-DRI...

who told me that my computer is a Lenovo 3000 n200 Type 0687.

Using google once again, I found this page:

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-68011

which was another version of the driver. So I downloaded and unpacked it. I then took a glance at the .txt guide provided with the driver. It is said:

    1. Start Windows XP and log on with administrative privileges.

    2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.

       The default location is C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\WLLANINT

    3. Click Start, then click Run...

    4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the

package in step 2, and click OK.

       Example: C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\WLLANINT\SETUP.EXE

    5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

Unfortunately, there is no setup.exe file in the folder so this has failed.

    Regards,

    satherb

configuration > wireless lan support > enabled

for display drivers, re - install it: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67978

and on Device Manager, please, provide the device id. (eg PCI VEN_8086 & dev_2929 & subsys)

or if you know which wireless adapter you have, download drivers from the download page, then re - install.

    Hi pillowgod,

    1. When did you start to question?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

You can check the following link and try to run the manual Intel WiFi diagnostic tool to check the functionality of your WiFi adapter.

    http://www.Intel.com/support/wireless/WLAN/sb/CS-025780.htm

You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the Intel wireless card and check.

    a. Click Start and type in Device Manager in the start search and press ENTER.

    b. expand the network adapters in the Device Manager

    c. right-click on the device, and then click Properties

    d. click on the driver tab and click on uninstall the drivers and click OK.

    e. restart the computer and check.

You can also see the Intel Web site and try to download the latest version of the card wifi drivers.

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/default.aspx

  • Game 360 wireless receiver does not appear in Device Manager.

    Hello

I recently bought a 360 game wireless receiver for my laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)) (w / two usb 3.0 ports)
The receiver came with an installation disk that redirect me to a download of updated driver where I downloaded the Windows 7 drivers (64-bit). After installing syncing controllers unsuccessfully. The receiver flashes green when I press the button and the controller detects the signal when I press the button, but she never settled in a quadrant to the light upward.
I searched the internet and this site where people asked similar questions. "Most have solved their problem by following a step by step process that is to locate a "unidentified device" or a" ""controller common microsoft ' in the Device Manager. I think not or the other device, a manager.

It's my problem, I would be able to resolve the issue had the device in Device Manager, but this isn't the case.

If anyone could offer any help it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Automatically use the wired on wireless LAN connection when using the docking station

    Hey guys!

I use the my T500 with the Advanced Mini Dock @TheDude recommended in this thread: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T500-Recommended-Compatible-Docking-Station...

I had almost a month now, and whenever I anchor my laptop I have to pass the connection wireless switch off hard or using FN + F5 and extinguish this particular radio.

Is it possible to have the computer automatically choose the wired connection when it is available, otherwise use the wireless radio?

    I use Windows 7 Prof 64 bit.

    Thank you

    c1p0

ThinkVantage Access Connections (AC) can be configured to do this. Change your location profile and change the order of the adapter associated with this place, for example, order first as Wired and Wireless second.

When I am connected Wired and I pull the Ethernet cable, AC will switch to using wireless automatically. When I put the Ethernet back in, it starts automatically by using the wired and wireless don't report limited or no connectivity (which means that the switch has occurred). You will have to perhaps set up wireless in AC power options, i.e. disable radio when not in use (I did not sentence again).

This could be similar to a docking station solution. Mine is without docking station; When I'm at the office and go to a meeting, I pull the wire and have continuity.

Ideally, the CA should provide a solution. But it may take some fiddling.
