• Oracle EPM - Auto disable user accounts after the expiration period?

  I'm have slammed on my security assessment quarterly Oracle EPM Shared Services is not an automatic disabling user accounts after x period of time.  We migrate to 11.1.2.2 and wonder if the SSP has been improved with this security feature.

  If this is not the case, what are other companies doing this problem?

  unless you know that the login of the user changes another attribute in its profile, so this can change the modifytimestamp, then there is no other way to obtain this information by querying the DS instance.
  In this case, I think that an alternative "dirt" would be to 'interpret' the log files... search the dregs :(

  I created users to IOM and they supplied with OID. now, when I disable any user to IOM... what will be the effect on the account of the target in OID. Is there any attribute in OID that will tell if the user is on or off.

  Well its a behavior OOTB as and as the user in the IOM is disabled, all the resources provided to the user automatically gets Disabled.You can try and check the status of the resource, it should show as disabled. In addition, you can also verify that the disable user must have been called there.

  Now to check whether or not the user is disabled. As in AD, it is a sign of the cross on the user account and a userAccountControl attribute appears as 512. See id so it makes sense similar in OID as well. Some attribute like orclIsEnabled , but not sure.

  We currently have set users to be 'disabled', but then he must remember periodically go and delete them manually. It also creates problems with duplicate user names. Do you automatically remove your users? I have always been concerned that if something goes wrong with a synchronization then all of my users would be deleted.

  We had the same problem here, so I wrote an external operation that is grafted on to the user synchronization job and remove disabled users more than X number of days. For example, in our case, users are deleted after 180 days of being disabled (it's a little extreme). This way you can offer you a few days before that the users are actually deleted, but keep the automated process. There are a few options integrated, which should be visible from the source code. Here is the source:

  You ask for the password after sleep checked safe? You have active FileVault? If you restart will it then allow you to connect? If this is not the case, try safe mode. Replace with the SHIFT key down. You could then go to System Preferences and disable the sleep mode connection.

  Try to boot your pc in safe mode and log in as administrator, you will be able to restore the account.

  To disable an account, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start Menu > right click computer > Manage.

  2. Click local users and groups.

  3. Double-click the account that you want to disable.

  4. Check the "account is disabled", and then click OK.

• Cannot remove a disabled user account

  When I start my laptop I have three accounts, the one I use for my family when they really need to use, special guests and another account. That other account still connect for some reason, but when I click it, it said: your account has been disabled, please consult your system administrator.

  Now, I wanted to delete this account because it is causing trouble, but it does not appear in Control Panel. What can I do?

  Well I close my laptop, it brought on the day before, and then when I open it it will show me to select the account (as you would with any account that has a password), and underneath it says connected. I don't think this is supposed to be like that tho.

  If I turn my phone it will say: there are other connected users, they might lose data and whatever.

  OK, we're going to investigate this mysterious account. Please follow these steps:

  1. Click the start planet.
  2. Type cmd.exe in the search box and press enter
  3. Type the following commands exactly and press ENTER after each one:

     (now remember the name of the account involved in the list. "I'll call it xxx.)

  Hey Pratik,

  As long as registration has been shared (manually via the share record option that has the host or through the e-mail received by participants) and then the link for registration will be still valid after the user is disabled.

  There is no other way to access this disk once the account is disabled, also to reactivate it, log and generate the share link for records associated with the account.
