Disc PS4100 replacement

Hi all

A few days ago, I found a disk fail on my PS4100.

I have a new drive, but I can't add it to the system because I made a stupid mistake.

I exctracted the disc more than 1 hour so that the system put the large/empty slot and now no discs are recognized.

Any suggestions?

Thank you very much.

Marco

Hello Marco,.

I suspect you have the cause of the problem.  Leaving the reader in until replacement is to properly maintain the airflow for cooling.

At you will replace it by a car brand from EQL, Dell?  Discs no Dell won't work.  Are there messages in EQL GUI Event Viewer when you insert the new drive?

If you use a good drive from Dell, you have another piece of spare not appearing in this member?    If so, swap the new drive with the spare and put the spare wheel in the open slot.   The two appear?    If this isn't the case, then I guess you might be running and older version of the firmware.   For quite a time, try to is not on the table.  See if readers will then be displayed.

You can also open a pension case and Dell will help you at this yard.

Kind regards

Don

I have a DV6408nr (windows vista Home premium) I had to replace the motherboard and hard drive. When installing the new motherboard (same part No.: 443775-001) and insert the recovery (bought from HP) discs that I have, I received an error message stating that the PC could not be recovered using my disks. The serial numbers on the label service and in my bios do not match. When I entered the serial number of my bios in HPpartsurfer, he said that the system is a DV6449us. I already checked my RAM and HARD drive is brand new/not formatted. I used these recovery discs (manufacturer: 483905-003/483906-003) successfully before on other flags of DV series. Is there a reason why these discs should not work on two motherboards in the same system with these similar specs? What should I do to get my system recovered?

The number of the motherboard and other show information in the bios of the new Commission?

The numbers do not match the recovery disks or information is missing in the bios.

If it's really a mismatch, then you will need to find the good recovery disks or use a Dell installation disk operating system and use the product key from the sticker on the laptop to get activated, and then manually install the drivers.

If the bios tattoo is damaged or missing information only a used HP Center can then fix the tattoo.

  • FS2004 disc 4 replacement please.

Hi everyone, looking for some help please.

    I own microsoft FS 2004, legal/Registered Version.

However, I have damaged disc 4 i, e there a large crack running from the center of disc to half way through and as you know, is called to play the game. Have managed to copy the 4 disc to a folder on my desktop, but because of the restrictions of copyright law can't seem to burn another disc.

Found the other day, a Crack No CD file, am so now able to enjoy my Simulator without the disc, which is required to start anyway.

The main problem that I have now there's some problems with starting the game (do not find some files) and to reinstall a new Version of FS2004 and when trying to install the new copy don't get past 4 disk to complete the installation.

Don't want to buy an another FS2004 unless it's the last resort.

  • If Lightroom import parameters of the disc or replace the disc of the catalog settings

When the 'up' arrow key appears in a thumbnail and comes up with the message:

The metadata for one or more of these photos has been changed by another application. Lightroom import settings from disk or replace drive with the catalog settings?

What exactly means?  This seems to happen every time I have to export an image in PS (CS5) and back to LR.  What has changed exactly?  Which settings are imported if I choose "import settings from disk."

I think it would be best to not think in terms of what LR 'applies' changes. Because LR stores the changes made in the catalog, the changes are "applied" to the image on export. I think that it would be preferable to use the term 'view' instead of 'apply '.

Then: when LR, you open a RAW image in PS the LR-changes made until then are displayed in PS and then "apply" when you save a PS (don't forget PS CS5 opens the RAW image).

If you do more edits in PS and save these, LR will display these changes - you will then notice on back of the PS, LR will be re - load the image. On 'Save' PS applies (and here the term 'applicable' is correct) the changes by writing them in the image file. LR reads the saved file and displays it with PS-changes.

But the LR catalog settings are still in the State of the point in time before you open the image in PS. It is so because PS writes the changes to the image file and not in the LR catalog. So now you have a set of changes in the LR catalog and another set of changes in the image file.

To describe it as ' a little 'too top' with the PS applied, changes but it really has not applied the "isn't making the case because LR 'applies' only to export. LR doing at this stage is read the image with PS-changes file and display the image accordingly.

But LR "feels" that what is displayed is not what is in the catalog online.

This is the conflict that Lr wants to solve by popping the message.

You say "if so, then you really would like to import settings from disk so that the file will be PS changes, right?  "

Yes, if you wish that your changes-PS to replace your previous changes LR.

Now, I came to where I do not fixtures in PS that I can do in LR - and I do not fixtures in LR that PS is preferable to a workflow.

In practice: in PS, I do the cloning and also noise reduction when the LR - NR is not enough (for example in the noisy analyses).

I don't do any tonal or color adjustments to the PS because it is easier in Lr and gives me better results.

When the message appears, select 'Replace disk settings' - it keeps all Lr changes and does not overwrite the cloning.

I have Power edge T620 with PERC H700 and 4 HDD 500 GB Raid 5 and give me to rate and foreign one another, the ESXi 4.1 and ESXI Server upward host and run, but whenever I have tray to start one of the virtual computer system failure, now, I have a few Q:

-can use the HARD drive to another manufacturer 'but the same size and speed' to rebuild the Raid

    THX

'- what's the best scenario to replace drive HARD 2

If you have two drives that need to be replaced in a RAID 5, there is NO way to replace them by keeping your data intact, because your data are gone.  You replace them, configure a new RAID 5, then restore from a backup.

«- can use the HARD drive to another manufacturer 'but the same size and speed' to rebuild the Raid»

You don't need to use disks of the same size - they can be larger.  You must use Dell certified disks.  You should NOT use consumer/desktop readers in a server.

If you have a single drive showing as foreign, then you will get your table online.  Go to CTRL-R, highlight the controller on the VD MGMT, F2, foreign Config, Import screen.  If she is important and everything is working again, you can replace the remaining drive simply by pulling the system and insert a new.  If it does not begin to rebuild automatically, you must assign the drive as a hot spare to start reconstruction.

  • Can I use my recovery Vista disc to replace windows 7

One of my friends put windows 7 on my computer dell laptop, I want back my old vista, can I use the CD provided with the laptop to restore it to factory settings.

My lap is a dell inspiron 1525

Yes, a factory restore will format the disk and restore default programs.  You can also double check dell.com for any new information pertaining to the factory restore for your computer and new updates to install after the restoration.

However, my suggestion is to make sure you move all your personal files and boxes from the drive before a factory restore, that is if you want to save them by e-mail.

  • HP Pavilion dv6: System recoovery after replacing the HD because of the disk hard 301 error

I have problems with the original of my HP Pavilion dv6 PC hard drive portable. I get an alert (SMART disk error 301) every time that I reboot, but I can still load my Windows 7.

I just bought a new hard drive (SSD SATA3), but I would like to recover my original OS using my license key.

How can I do? Should I create a partition on the new disk (D, copy the contents of my RECOVERY disc and use Esc + F11 after reboot?) Do I need a recovery CD/DVD? In this case, can I create one of my system?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Drive smart error 301 indicated fall drive hard/failed hard drives

If you have recovery disks, no need for product key, insert the disc after replaced by the new fair SSD & insert the recovery disks to reinstall everything, including the recovery partition.

You can also order HP recovery discs

You must ensure that the size of the SSD is equal to or greater than the size of the previous HARD drive to perform successfully the recovery discs recovery.

If you have not created recovery disks, you can create one - http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01867418

Back up all your personal data now first.

Maybe you can navigate to the actual file the air are archived in and move
them (or at least copy and paste the) to another folder before rip you the disc 2.

Right click a song title and choose... "Open file location". (Probably your music).

  • Cisco WAE 574 HDD simple replacement

    Hi all

Will you please someone from Cisco or the Support forum can advise.

I had 3 devices may 4 have the single 500 GB HDD drives fail them. Tonight, I tried to replace the first failed drive without success.

Replace drive itself went well and the WAE-574 starts very well. When you check the condition of the disc, it went well. I added the license file (company) level which she agreed and when checking the "show license" it says "active".

Looking at the options 'See the stat con' all I saw was TDL which means for me the CIFS AO was not working properly. I tried for 2 hours in my window to change to fix this problem without success.

When the command 'Accelerator show' he showed all the CIFS, HTTP, MAPI, etc as nurses = Yes, configured state = Enabled, however operating state = stop.

The research on the internet and Cisco of the forum that this possibly indicated a license problem. I tried to delete it and left 5 to 10 minutes and reactivated but still no joy. I also tried a disk partitions-data deletion followed by a reload, and it has not yet.

One thing to add that looking at the table of alarm that I see a Core Dump, Crash has mentioned that some cases looking at means having to connect a Cisco TAC case.

Can someone tell if they have encountered this or has any transaction with a replacement of failed drive HARD unique Cisco WAAS?

    Thanks in advance guys.

    See you soon

    Craig

    Hi Craigh,

You have installed the software on the disc after replacement?

If you have only a single WAVE-574 drive, there is no way to rebuild the disk (from the DESCENT) and therefore the portion of WAAS software disk is missing.

    Check this: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/waas/v411/co...

  • How can I burn multiple files on a disc of SMEs without substitution of files?

I want to burn small video files on the same disc without replacing each other.

    Hello

    1. with the help of what program are you burning the disc?
    2. When you burned at the beginning of the disc, have you turned on multisession?
    Method 1:
If you had enabled multisession then you can resume the session by adding data to the drive and data that are present on the disk will be safe.
    Method 2:
If you did not select multisession,
    a. copy all data on the drive to the computer
    b. Format of the CD/DVD.
    c. burn a new disc by enabling multisession this time.

    I hope this helps.

  • bad hard drive - replace vs reformat

    Hello

So reformatting should remove all bad sectors from a hard disk.

But is a device that is more likely to get more bad sectors or fail areas?

These drives should be replaced or just be reformatted?

Ive been doing dell support now for 15 years now in a major University with an exclusive contract with dell...  I thought that I always did the right thing by replacing the disk with bad sectors, but Im not confused.

When confusion arises is that a family member has recently made a purchase HP as well as "geek squad" to full support at home.  When she had problems, she called me and I called geek squad after some diagnostics to do rather then HP so they could finish the process.  In any case, the tests 'smart' in the diagnosis of HP bios (similar to the dells boot partition) showed that the drive failed a review of surface.  Yet, the geek squad said they would only talk to him through a restructuring process on the phone and that they would not replace the disc and replace the disc didn't need to be made only from a few bad sectors.

    IM now questioning myself.

I know if I have bad sectors on a hard disk and give dell the error code, I get a new disc from dell or HP...   But my question, so is the new disc really necessary?

What is the probability that a disk with bad sectors will grow more bad sectors?

Reference dell replaces the disc becase it should not be used more or simply because some areas are bad and its just good business to please customers?

Please do not reply this unless really know you the answer to that, not to speculate.

I want an answer official dell on what I should do and why disks are replaced.

    Thank you

  • iMessage Archive?

I got two iPhone in a period of three years―same number, same iMessage account―and of countless messages in these two phones. Is it possible to see all of them? On TV, I see you can see the transcript of text messages and my parents used to threaten constantly watch my messages through the telephone company when they have always paid for my phone. Is there a way to do the same thing with iMessages? Sometimes, I just want back old conversation. I tried to use apps that run through the deleted messages, but they're not far at all.

    Hello

If they have been deleted while they are actually gone.

As with most of the OSes 'delete' may not remove the disc until replaced by something else and you can be able to "bring them back" somehow with other tools.

iMessages are deleted from the server at the time wherever your camera accepts.

You can't "Download" again when you remove them.

If you have a Mac, linked to the iPhone for iMessages that the version of the App can bet together to save the cats.

However if you choose Delete here as well which will remove the element of iMessages 'history' as well as the rescued cats.

  • What HARD drive max can I use for Satellite 2410-504

    Hello

I have a Toshiba 2410-504 P241E the 20 GB drive HARD is almost full, and I would like to buy another larger capacity disc to replace.
My question is what is the maximum capacity disc and what type of drive this machine will support?

Note: I have the latest version of the bios installed and the machine is running Win XP pro.

    Concerning

    Bob

    Hello

I think that the laptop supports an IDE HDD controller that supports only 28-bit LBA as suggested by resident. This means that the controller does support max 128 GB IDE hard drives.

Since ATA - 6 (Ultra DMA mode 5 or Ultra-ATA100) the 48-bit LBA is supported but I n t think that Sam 2410-504 was equipped with the ATA-6 controller and therefore, it seems that 120 GB (128 GB HARD drive not available) disk HARD is the maximum that could be used.

S manual is not the same thing as maintenance manuals. Please note that this is not the same and the exact description on laptop procedure disassembly is only authorized service.

Anyway, as far as I know the optical disk drive is fixed with a screw and it can be removed from the underside. The screw is placed near the cover of exact memory on the optical drive. Not on side cooling event, but on the other side.

Be careful because everything you do is at your own risk.
