Disco Viewer / + / Admin/Desktop-Error Invalid Username and Password

We have set up a demo environment at work to upgrade to R12 with Vision database. Admin of discoverer is patched to this level: 10.1.2.2 (#4960210 path) with EBS patch 5985072. Enforcement agents on the linux machine that runs server discoverer is patched with same 10.1.2.2 as well. Client and server are on the same level. I followed 373634.1 Note - using discoverer 10.1.2 with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 to integrate the discoverer 10.1.2 with E-Business Suite Release 12 and copied in the file vis.dbc to the client (C:\oracle\BIToolHome_01\secure) and also copied the same file in $BI_ORACLE_HOME/discoverer/secure folders. So far so good. I can connect to disco more/admin/Office using sysadmin or other users sent off box with instance R12 SCREWS. A EUL_US of default applications exist with some industry and workbooks. I can run without any problem.

My problem is all DNF users I create cannot connect through more/desktop/admin. I get the error ID / password is not valid. I can connect with this new user applications without problem. I see this discoverer user when logged in as a SYSADMIN and I got all the necessary privileges (admin as well). Also, any user supplied SCREWS if put to day pending (liability added or changed password) no longer works and get the same error.

What could go wrong?

Hello

Check if there is any what code access system profile options together. For example, passwords are case-sensitive in system profiles can cause a problem because the discoverer does not support.

Also try to track of connection with Discoverer Desktop to see what extent progresses it attempt to connect. Follow Metalink Note 329898.1 for instructions.

    and then the popup asks again and so on...

    I checked my mail account settings, even deleted and added this email account. Always the same.

    If I connect to the Charter.net and sign there, I get my messages - but can't always get through Windows Mail.

    These settings are correct in your configuration?

    incoming mail server name: pop.charter.net.
    outgoing mail server name: smtp.charter.net.

    You should probably not have a tick in the box "connect using password authentication (SPA) secure.

    Take a look in the right pane of the Web Page related to the Support provided by your ISP options.  Sometimes they change the Ports for mail servers and that you may have missed notification.  In all cases the ISP is your best first step for help.

    I'm using Outlook 2002 on the XP Pro operating system.

    It lasts for almost a year, but I managed to work around the issue since it was started using a different outgoing SMTP user name and the password.  (More settings, outgoing server tab, log in using...)  Now it has stopped working.

    There are four machines at this place and all suffer from the same problem.  I use a LinkSys RVS4000 router.  The previous Linksys router has also had the same problem so I replaced, thinking he can correct the problem, he didn't.
    Troubleshooting:
    a. I am able to recreate the account on another machine to a different place and it works.
    b. I can take an account of my machine, create in this place and it will not work.
    c. accounts deleted and created a new, did not
    d. has replaced the router to the place with a new Linksys router
    e. contacted support for ISP, (Time Warner), they accuse the hosting company
    d. contacted support for hosting of the company (HostCentric) they blame the ISP
    c. confirmed username and passwords are correct.
    e. There are 4 machines in this place with different addresses.  All started having this problem/error the same day within hours
    f. may receive emails cannot be sent.

    You can access the server via webmail?  Also check interference antivirus.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 to disable the e-mail analysis, then remove your mail account close OE and then add it back again.

    With NI WSN 1.1, using a 9792, I can click on the button set the permissions, and if none had been defined would simply ask me a new administrator password.  Now with NI WSN 1.2, when I click on the button set the permissions he takes me to the web interface of the 9792 and said "nobody is connected or you don't have permissions to view/edit users, groups, and permissions.»  When I click on the "connect" button, a box opens and asks me a username and password.  I scoured the notes version of the help files and the internet, and it seems there is NO documentation on how to set up the first name of username/password combination, or it indicates what combination of username/password default username there might be.  I also tried a brand new 9792 straight out of the box and load of 1.2 to this subject and it has the same problem.  Is there something obvious that I'm missing?  How a person initially configure security on the 9792?

When you use NEITHER-WSN 1.1 allowed us users to define the initial password and this is still the case for the 9791. The 9792 is a gateway OR WSN node and a target time LabVIEW Real-time.     Check with AT & T, or the Yahoo Server. They have made of your user name and password. Compare them with those that you entered when you first set up the account.
    The rest of the settings of your look ok to me.

    Very often, it is due to an intermittent server problem and not a problem with your computer.  You should contact the provider of messaging and see there are problems.  See also if you can connect via webmail and if it works.  If so, then try to set up a second copy of your account and see if it works.  Also beware of interference antivirus: see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 and it can help to compact and repair the database of WinMail (see www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/)

    Windows Live Mail 2012 never asked me user and password because it has been installed. After trying to send a photo from my Canon camera software after I had downloaded the images from the camera, asked for the username and password. Joined those from Microsoft. E-mail does not; It is in the Outbox. Choose the icon on desktop for Windows Live Mail 2012 and all contacts are gone. Email arrives, but can not send email. Need problem solved.

    If you try to use the Windows function send to > message recipient to send an image, you must be logged into Windows Live Mail. There is a bug in the program.

    When you are connected, you will see the contacts that belong to the Microsoft Account sign in to help. These are the same ones you see at http://people.live.com so sign here with the same account. If you are not signed in, you will see the default contacts list. There is no link between these different sets of contacts.

    To avoid the bug, start by opening a message compose window in Windows Live Mail (for example by pressing Ctrl-N), and then apply a Insert > single photo to insert an image or images in the body of your message, or attach a file to send in the form of attachments.

    If you are not able to send messages, please remove any message not sent from the Outbox, then compose a simple message, try again with a single topic and send it to yourself. Send the error message in your response.
