Disconnecting a user profile

Hello

I have a Windows 7 machine with automatic logon enabled for a specific user.

When I want to log off and log on to another user, I need to press the key passage so that the usual login screen appears.

Recently, he began to need to disconnect to 5 or 6 times (by pressing the SHIFT key) until the closing of computer session and for the usual logon screen.

It is never the same amount of time, sometimes it first attempts log, sometimes more.

Is there a reason why?

Thank you

André

Hi Veredas,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

You did it all change important before the show?

According to the description of the problem you are facing problem of disconnection of a user profile by using the SHIFT key. The question might be if there are a few third party conflicts or corruption of parameters.

I suggest you to try the steps below and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

Method 1

Try running the fixit described in the article mentioned below and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

The Shift key on a USB keyboard will not override the setting automatic logon on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

Method 2

If the problem persists, I suggest that you start your computer in a clean boot and disable temporarily the security software then try to disconnect from the user profile and see if it makes a difference.

Step 1

Try temporarily disabling security software and then see if it helps.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attack.

Step 2: Start your computer in a clean boot.

Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us

Note: See "how to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to prepare the computer to start as usual after a repair.

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

Kind regards

    Hello

How many times this happen and in what circumstances?

It would be a good idea to run the System File Checker tool:

"How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the files on system missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

If SFC detects serious flaws, you may need to perform a repair upgrade Installation.

  • intermittent connection problem: 'the user profile Service service has no logon. The remote procedure call failed and did not execute. »

Hello, I'm having intermittent problems with logging in my Windows 7 computer.

Often after reboot due to applications of Windows Update or any simply restart after the holidays, I have the following message on trying to connect:

"The service user profile Service has no logon. The remote procedure call failed and did not execute. "

When I click 'OK', the machine disconnects and try to restart.  This can occur 2 to 5 times before _works_ .  But sometimes it happens at all.  And sometimes he _partially_ connects, but my "reminder" and the "Sidebar Gadgets' not loading not correctly and I get a different RPC error - for example, I lived once a message RPC over Skype cannot work because the remote procedure call failed.

I'm fairly certain that it is different from the frequently reported issue 'profile of corruption', which was experienced by others.  This problem manifests itself as 'the user profile Service does not log. The user profile could not be loaded "and is reported as a blocking problem consistently reproducible which is set by the 'fixing' of the profile.

However, the issue I feel is clearly related to an RPC problem is intermittent and not consistent - maybe one of my devices is not reset properly?  Where I can look in the logs of Windows, to provide relevant information on this subject?

Because my computer was still under warranty, I have raised the issue of Dell and they removed the damaged system file (user account) last week.

I hope that this will finally fix the problem (previously the error message disappear and reappear after a few weeks later.)  I'll give it a few more weeks to be sure.

  • Create user profile issues

A bit of history - this adventure began when I tried to correct corrupt (or something) the Notification area icons.  I found the fix for the registry (TrayNotify) and that fixes everything except the network icon.  I went to the solution a corrupted user profile (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-corrupted-user-profile#1TC=windows-7).

The problem here is that the C:\Users\New_Username file does not exist until I disconnect and connect to the new account.  After logging in to the new account, I see that the C:\Users\New_Username folder is full even though I have not (yet) to copy all the files.  It seems that the account made official win 7 comments.

I tried to delete the files and folders in C:\Users\New_Username and write down them.  Problem is that the new account opens with this error "You have been connected with a temporary profile".

Can you help me to create the new user profile?

Oh, BTW, it "seems" problem Notification area icons began after an infection by the virus that has been corrected to messed.  I'm not positive the malware has caused the problem, but it might have.

    Thank you all,

    Terry

Reply to my message?  In any case, I was able to create the new user account and log on without the dreaded «...» Temporary caveat... ».  It is from my files copied to the new account.  I want to copy my office but failed on the first two attempts.

Not sure yet of my Outlook e-mail, etc..

Oh, Yes, the Notification area responds correctly in the new user account. :)
