  Hello!  I was wondering if someone can help me please.  Currently, I learn how to use InDesign and have encountered a problem.  Basically, I made some sketches/illustrations with Illustrator and to stick in a book about InDesign.  When I do this it works fine, but then the text will not wrap around the sketch.  I found how to solve this problem - I have created a form (white) solid block of the draft sketch to go under the original sketch and can now wrap the text around it, isn't ideal if - however, I can not select the drop-down menu wrap text options in the dialog text wrap, as it is gray and unclickable.

  First, unless there is a reason for it, you are better to place the work Illy.

  With this selected work, open the text layout Panel and set the appropriate text wrapping.

  I never had this before, but after a hard reboot (caused by a 3rd party app) all emails in my Inbox do not wrap text. I have to scroll sideways to read each sentence.

  Is it possible that a setting has been changed? If so, I can't find something that solves this problem.

  Hi - Thanks for the response. I started getting strange error messages and ended up reloading the OS in Desktop Manager - which seemed to fix it. My torch becomes buggy. Thanks again.

  I worked in InDesgin (currently the CS6 for Mac) for many years. I'm not an expert, but fairly well-versed and comfortable with the program. I think I know almost everything about the wrapping of text and its options and how it works. But it drives me crazy.

  I have an imported MSWord part of the text. I have an item I want to insert in the text. Normal procedure. Easy. But this text will NOT wrap around the object. What about other texts? Yes. Other text in the document wrap around that object even very well.

  I rebooted the computer and the program. Check the settings as much as I can think and even spruced up the document from scratch as a MS Word document. Yet, no film.

  This happened to someone? What is going on? Help.

  Check the options of text block for the text that will not wrap. Ignore text dresses it is checked?

  New in InDesign and I do not know how to set the text to move away from this line. (I'll put up a page to look like his notes and the reference line). I don't have only one layer.   When you insert a long string of text in a cell (such as a URL), there is a text wrap option that looks like this:

  The text is (obviously) encapsulated by the left/right borders of the cell. In other words, the horizontal width of the column of the cell/remains the same but the vertical length of the line/cell will adjust to fit the text, making the whole of the visible text. It looks like this:

  How to make this happen without placing the text in the cell to the right?

  If the cell to the right has nothing in it, the text will bleed in it. If the cell to the right has something in it, like a space character, the text bleed in it. You can create a column of space characters (or whatever the character you choose) and then hide this column.

  I used the List class to display the list of contents in the scrolling display. The list load successfully in the horizontal list view, but the content of text is not wrapped. So is it possible to wordwrap text inside the list. Or y at - it another option to have a similar horizontal list.

  Also, the scrollToIndex or the selectedIndex methods do not work. Is there a solution?

  In your custom renderer, change the 'label' wordWrap = true attribute. You will need to adjust the width and height of the label to the right size too.

  If the image is placed on the page:

  

  Drag the symbol at the top right in a paragraph before that the first line is ignored when the text is wrapped.

  I work in InDesign CS6 and I have a text field where users can take notes at the bottom of each page on the master page. I have the right properties defined in the dialog buttons (see below). However, when a user enters text, the text is not wrapping (see image 2), it shows just as a long line of text. If I go to the PDF file and select the text box and choose multiline, it works, but I don't want to have to do this on each page of each document. Is there something I'm missing when creating the PDF file or set up initially in InDesign?

  

  The pages Panel, select all the pages containing a button text field then of flyout arrow select replace all elements of the master page. Hope this can help.
