Discoverer running command line

Hello world

Hope all is well,

(1) I have a situation, where a .bat file opens successfully the discoverer query
BUT
Windows abandoned Scout until the screen parameter gets a chance to display.

.bat file:
C:\oracle\BIToolsHome_1\bin\dis51usr.exe
/ connect testUser/testPswd@odsp8
/opendb GENS. Advisor_CAD_M3
all the /Sheet

(2) keep us our reports under a different user id called GENS.

In the above .bat file:
file uses GENS as a prefix for the name of the query
I sign as myselfas testUser
BUT running a query from another connection (GENS)

Now:
(a) if I run the .bat directly from Windows Explorer file, the query opens on the parm. the screen successfully
BUT
(b) if I run the .bat from Visual Basic by using the shell command file,
then Windows aborts with a msg this pgm had to close
to the point just before the parm. screen would open.

(c) the shell command to run the .bat file:
If I first save the query to the database under my registration
then go to .bat file to remove the prefix GENS

(d) note please we use Sungard banner and reported off the coast of the ODS, and we went to 8 ODS

your ideas and your advice would be appreciated, would be happy to send you the little Access mdb and bat file
TX, sandra

Hello

You could try surrounding the name of the workbook for example quotes

C:\oracle\BIToolsHome_1\bin\dis51usr.exe
/ connect testUser/testPswd@odsp8
/opendb "GENS. Advisor_CAD_M3 ".
all the /Sheet

  • Sql XE over procedures run command line

    Greetings experts,
    I am trying to familiarize themselves with the command-line of XE and PL/SQL procedures, so what I do, I wrote a simple script that creates a procedure that prints its input value. Then I compile and run it via the command line.

    The following is the script (small_proc.sql):
    create or replace procedure sproc (printthis in number) is

    begin

    dbms_output.put_line('the value is' || printthis);

    end;
    /
    Question:
    1. I compile the script by:
    @small_proc
    then I run:
    run sproc (4);
    It is said that the procedure is carried out, but it's not printing anything (I think that "the value is 4").
    Something wrong with my code or my step?

    2. How can I change the path environment so that I can't copy the script in the bin every time
    I want to run it?

    3. How can I check environment path in this command line?

  • Cannot run command line error during program installation

    One of the suppliers with which our company works sent us a new program to securely transmit data between our computers and their server. I installed it on all of our computers but. I have run the install and I get a box that appears and says:

    . / files. Ink

    Cannot run commandline

    It is a professional Windows 7 system with all updates. Other computers I installed on are a mix of Win 7 Home & Professional and 2 systems to win 10.

    When I look at the installation on other computers, it is a simple installation of Installshield.

    I ran several programs to check the virus or maleware and he comes clean. I have run chkdsk /f and sfc/scannow. I run cleaning programs and defragmented the disk.

    It doesn't matter if I run it in compatibility mode different or as an administrator. Result in the box to appear.

    I can't pass this system to earn 10 again because of other programs that need to run on it.

    I could use you help figure this.

    Thank you

    I solved my problem. It seems at one point that the user has installed a program called UltimateZip not realizing that Windows would decompress the files for it. Later, she deleted the program and he had left his associations in the registry. I ran some programs uninstaller to make sure that none of the programs files have been left and then here:

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html and downloaded the

    files needed to restore the association for exe, zip, and lnk files. I followed the instructions on the site and merge the registry entries. I restarted the computer and was able to install the program. In fact, it is a simple process. Thanks to sevenforums for having this help there. I hope this helps someone else.

    Hello

    How parameters could be made optional in the Office?

    It can be made using desktop only, there is no functionality of optional parameters.
    If you have a single desktop, you will need to set the parameters in the command line.

    You could try to use HTML/export but keep the file as .xls type. Then you open the HTML file in excel, and most of the formatting and the title will be preserved.

  • Analyzer of sequence running from the command line in TestStand 2010

    Hello

    I would like to be able to run and control the stand-alone command line sequence Analyzer.  I can do that in 2014 TS (and it seems that I could patch versions as soon as 2012 TS to give them this ability), as described here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/B927893F26BFB64A86257ECE006E442D

    However, I work with a large existing codebase in 2010 TS (with no intention to migrate to a newer version, in the foreseeable future).  Is it possible to get the same functionality from command line in the 2010 version of the parser?

    I know that I can open the command line parser, but are the commands, I am interested in: analyze, report, / save, /clearMessagesOnSave, / minimize, / help, / / leave.

    Thank you!

    Thanks Ryan, Jigg,

    Yes, I can run the parser (and opened a project), but basically, I can't run anything.

    I realized what I do by writing a TestStand sequence that calls the parser to sequence through its API (attached).  I can then run TestStand (and call this sequence) from the command line.

    Hi Tom,

    When you create a new application to your specification to Build, you must set the 'Pass all arguments for application command line' in the Advanced tab.

    Once you do that it should all work.

  • Run the VI command line in Windows 7

    I try to open a VI and do it run whenever called from the command line.  I am running Windows 7 and LabVIEW 2009.

    I followed this guide to get me started.

    First, I marked my VI "run the opening:

    I therefore call on my command prompt similar program:

    "C:/Program Files/National Instruments/LabVIEW 2009/LabVIEW.exe" "C:/User/Desktop/test.vi"

    If I already open LabVIEW and running in the main menu, then it opens my VI perfectly without any problems.

    However, if I don't already have LabVIEW open, it opens LabVIEW as she normally does, but it only loads to the main menu.  It doesn't load any of my VI.

    Does anyone know if this is expected behavior, or how can I fix this so that it opens upward Although LabVIEW is currently closed?

    Well... I managed to do work haha.  If you come to ignore the document and open the file via the command line, it opens fine.  I don't know why they say that you can use the command line argument LabVIEW.exe.

    "C:\User\Desktop\test.vi"

  • How Windows to determine which file to run with some command line commands?

    I had someone ask me an interesting question, and I really didn't have a good answer for them.  We were talking about the command prompt.  I showed them how they could start some programs simply by typing a command at the command prompt.  Their question is how is it, some files require a full path to start?  Also how the Windows does not know which file to run when the 'explorer' simple as orders are entered?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi, Deedubbadoo,

    Their question is how is it, some files require a full path to start?

    You can have some files in the same directory that share the same file name but have different extensions. For example, you might have a file named compta.com can launch an accounting program and another called Accnt connects your system to the accounting system network.

    The operating system searches for a file by using default file name extensions in the following order of precedence: .exe, .com, .bat, and. cmd to run Accnt so that compta.com exists in the same directory, you must include the .bat extension in the command line.

    If a component of a path is a file name, it must be the last element

    Therefore: Explorer

  • How do you 'run as' Panel, or where can I find a list of command line options?

    I use a laptop computer that I just installed a copy of XP on and continue to operate in the small problems of configuration and personalization that require administrator access to change.
    I know he will just be a little quick change, then right-click on the item and choosing "runas" would be more practical than the fast user switching. As much as I would have to authenticate twice (once to switch to the admin, then again to switch back).

    However, something like control panels do not have this option. One issue is that I can't seem to use Java with my limited account. Another is the problem with the start icon does not appear on the battery.
    I suspect that I could fix it if I could use the powers of the administrator on the control panels, even if I'm wrong, because they ARE well positioned in my admin account.

    OK, now that I think I will try to promote my account limited to an admin, fix things, then put it back. Just thought while typing.

    However, how can I access limited with my limited account control panels? I use usually the laptop into situations where I occasionally encouraged other people to modify my Open Office document or do a quick search on Google with Firefox, so I don't want to use an administrator account.

    I saw references by using the command 'control' of the command line, but I can't find a complete list of control for this panels. The only thing I memorized is 'control userpasswords2', which I do remember how to enter in the 'normal' way
    I use XP Professional on the laptop now. Relatively cool, install a little more than a week with a brand new score.

    Hi SlickRCBD2,

    You can get the list of the cpl (Control Panel tools): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/192806

    and you can run them as an administrator using your command line for an example:

    runas/user: Administrator "control modem.cpl".

    I hope this helps.

  • Add text from the command line to the output so that I can know how a command has been run when it generated the output

    This is a question and a suggestion...

    I would like to be able to precede or add if it works, the command line in the output file that creates the order.

    Example:

    I run dcdiag with switches, etc. and create an output file of results that gets saved or sent to a person or just put it in a folder. Of course, it could be that someone else ran the command and then sent the file. Anyway the problem is the same - what was the exact command line that has been executed to achieve these results?

    Question:

    Is there a known way to do from the command line that I can apply to any command?

    Suggestion:

    If this isn't the case, then I would suggest MS to include this function in all the BACK and PowerShell commands able to produce text output.

    If all goes well they monitor this forum and find it's a great idea and send me a check (pinky in my cheek) a meeellion of dollars. Then I and I alone will rule the world.

  • Error running webworks create from the command line in Beta 2 of Webworks

    Hello

    I am creating a project of cordova webworks from the command line. I run the following command:

    WebWorks create f:\devroot\NEXT_GEN\MobileApp\WebWorks2\MyApp com.joe.myApp MyApp

    However, it fails with the following error message:

    {[Error: check incorrect header] errno:-3, code: "Z_DATA_ERROR"}

    It seems to me that its attempts to download a tar.gzip drop of github (url below), but this file does not exist:

    URL: https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf?p=cordova-app-hello-world.git;a=snapshot;h=v2.0.0.54;sf=tgz

    So I'm not sure that my project directory is set up correctly. What is contained in this folder which its trying to find in the remote repository and is it relevant to my application?

    I can see my project directory in the space provided. It contains the following folders:

    ".cordova', 'merge', 'platforms', 'plugins' and 'www '.

    ".cordova" contains a subfolder 'hooks' which, in turn, contains about 24 cases being with 'after' or 'before' (e.g.after_build, before_build), it seems to be empty. It also contains a config.json that contains the attributes id and name of the project. Do any other necessary information in config.json?

    All other folders are empty.

    Is any other thing missing? should there be a config.xml file created for me in the directory "www" for example?

    Just add a config.xml file myself? Y at - it information about the correct structure for the config.xml file in webworks 2.0?

    Thank you

    Joe

    Hey Joe,

    So, just to confirm, HOST = "C:\". "and USERPROFILE ="C:\Users\?

    This is useful. Normally Windows machines do not have a HOME environment variable.

    We must ensure that these files copied to %USERPROFILE%\.cordova\lib\www\cordova\v2.0.0.54

    Please try this patch to webworks-cli/lib/utils/utils.js:

        findHomePath : function () {
            return process.env[(process.platform === 'win32') ? 'USERPROFILE' : 'HOME'];
        },
