  You shouldn't have to they are the default ones. You can change these keyboard shortcuts Application Menus layers organize section. Down is backwards and upwards towards the front

  I've been a user of items for 10 years, using ss12 since June. Recently, I had a problem of displacement of the layers inside and between files. When you work on a file, if I try to drag and drop a layer it just snaps back to where it was. I can move the layer with the arrow keys, but it fully takes to long. I do not understand why it started earlier past. I can open my previous version, PE 6 and move layers I have always done, but since I paid for upgrade to ss12 it would be nice to be able to use it.   Yes, it is, select the needed images on the timeline and adjust using the tool move where you need.

We receive some exported from ArcMap .ai files that can contain dozens and dozens of layers, and there are times when it would be so much easier to select the layer and press keys to move the layer upwards or downwards in the stacking order. Photoshop has this feature, but I can't find it in Illustrator.

  I have a problem of my catalogs of PES 10 displacement and the photos attached from my old computer with Windows XP on my new computer with Windows 10.  How can I keep my original photo folders tree arrangement when I restore backups of catalog on the new machine?

  The problem arises because Windows 10 is equipped with a new tree structure with new names for many of its branches.  Tree of Windows XP starts to Local Disk (C), and then does the following: Documents and settings, Susan [it's me the user], My Documents, SusanPhotos (the folder that I created that contains my photos) and then several subfolders and subfolders with my photos grouped by theme, for example the Puglia Italy and Italy-Roma.  My new computer Windows 10 has a different tree and different names for a large number of branches from early on: OS (C) [instead of Local Disk (C)], users, Susan, Documents [instead of the old My Documents], SusanPhotos [what I created] and then the subfolders and so on.

  Because of the new tree and the new names of the branch, I can't find a way to restore my PES 10 catalogues and photos attached to them to where I want to that they.  What I want to do is put the files from SusanPhotos to the Windows 10 Documents folder so that I find myself with the following tree, essentially the same as what I had on my old machine: OS (C), users, Documents, Susan, SusanPhotos, then the original subfolders with my photos.  Apparently 10 PSE does not allow me to move folders of photos in the Organizer, so that the pictures stay connected.

  PES 10 offers 3 options for restoration: Original, personalized and customized, keeping the original structure of the file.  Here's what happens to each:

  (1) original creates new folders with the old names and the structure of the tree, parallel to the tree Windows 10 has instead of inside the tree Windows 10.

  (2) custom with the original structure of the file is the restaurant where I want (within the SusanPhotos) but retains all branches superfluous-instant initial tree of Windows XP, production: BONES (C), users, Documents, Susan, SusanPhotos, Documents and settings [carried over from the old computer], Susan, My Documents, SusanPhotos, Roma-Italy and Italy-Puglia and so on.

  (3) custom (without checking the original file structure box) makes every SusanPhotos but without any organization: OS (C),..., SusanPhotos, Italy-Puglia and Italy-Roma and all other folders at the same level instead of in their original nested groups with subfolders.

  The first two methods you end up with a tree that is chaotic with two parallel trunks or a single trunk but with several redundant layers carried over from the old computer.  The third ends with no tree at all.

  One solution would be to make a Custom Restore with the original structure of the file and then use PSE10 to move the folders that I would like.  However, AFAIK, PSE10 I cannot move entire folders of photos, only of individual pictures.  With thousands of photos in hundreds of cases, the time required for the movement of individual pictures is prohibitive.  PSE10 allows me to move the catalog folder, but apparently not the folders containing the photos.

  The result is that at this time I have no solution to my problem.  Can you help me find a way to restore my photos while keeping their original organization?

  One solution would be to make a Custom Restore with the original structure of the file and then use PSE10 to move the folders that I would like.  However, AFAIK, PSE10 I cannot move entire folders of photos, only of individual pictures.

  You simply use the 'Files' Panel on the left. Your folder tree appears. Simply, you drag and drop the folder to move with all its subfolders in the desired master file. That works exactly as in Solution Explorer, so be patient, you receive no message of progress until it is completed.

  You did a good job to understand the situation. I think that might help you is to understand that changes in the way default folders are created in a different version of Windows can be ignored if you do not use these structure 'default', from the shortcuts to your main folder of the user.

  I create a master folder 'My Photos' directly under the C: root.

  When I restore, I use the "custom" choice, as you have discovered, I only specify this folder in the restore process, and I completely ignore the default shortcuts to 'Documents' or 'Image '.

• How to remove the layers 'recovered' Ultiboard design

  I designed a 4-layer Board and later, he had to change a number of prints of the parts.

  Hi Tod,

  "Recovered layers" is created on opening a file if Ultiboard find objects that refer to layers that do not exist in the Council. As a general rule, it should be safe to remove these layers in the dialog box properties of PCBS, because these objects are usually copper coins. First of all, you need to remove all the objects of these layers. An easy way to do it is:

  1. Right-click and hold, dragging the mouse over your design (similar to the way you would normally select with the left button of the mouse)
  2. Release the mouse button, and displays a context menu
  3. Click Select objects on layers specified...
  4. Select one of the layers 'recovered '. Click OK.
  5. Edit > delete

  (I feel like I could be missing here and if so, let me know).

  The content of each layer will be different on each document so I don't want to copy. I have 12 documents to be used in a calendar and I want all the layers as well as their names and colors to be the same in each document. I already have all the pages designed and built, but personal information is to be added, and I want each of them to match all the others.

  Basically, all I want to do is to copy the contents of the layers panel and past in each of the other documents.

  I just create a page at the end of the document w / layers and on this page, add an item by layer. Also, if you have 15 layers, drag the small fifteen frames on the page and the layer icon to assign each image to another layer.

  Then in the Pages panel menu, choose move Pages. Choose this 'page of layers' to move to your receiving document (another of your calendar documents), Destination: end of the Document.

  The receiving document will get all the layers. Remove all items (15 views) on the extra page and the layers remain.

  Next time you make a schedule, you should check the add-on for InDesign Calendar Wizard. You will cry all the time you wasted it making manually ;-(

  I try to save illustrator layers specific and visible in a png (for placement in PPT) file.  However, all of the layers in the document continue to appear in the png.  I even went in and deselected layer options 'show' and 'print' and they all will continue to appear. What I am doing wrong?  Is the only option to save as a jpg file? The ultimate goal is to be able to save the layers transparent for placement in PPT as relies.  Any help/info would be appreciated!  Thank you!

  I'm hoping to find an answer to my problem here, because I don't really know what else to try right now...

  I did a dynamic form for a company with Adobe Acrobat Pro. If I chose something a menu drop-down, some new forms and another layer of the PDF file becomes visible. I managed to do all this using javascript and form actions.

  The problem is that I am not able to keep the layers visible when I save. Is it possible that it remains exactly as it was when I am saving? It would be really important because the company uses this form to customer and they need to see what was visible and verified by customers of course.

  There are two ways to do this.

  The first is to change the property initState layer that determines if it showed or not when the file is opened.

  It is the best way to do it, but the problem is that this property is read-only in the drive, unless your file is only used in Acrobat is not really feasible.

  The second is to use a script to show/hide layers based on logic when the file is opened, using a script at the level of the doc.

  The logic will be probably the same thing as what you already use for your drop-down lists and other areas, you just need to adjust it so that it is executed when the file is opened, not only when the values of these fields is changed.

When I opened the morning, there is only one layer containing only the final image. all I remember about the things that I did my job last night is that I made a copy of the original psd file and then saved in a jpg file 8000 * 6000 pixels, in CMYK mode, then converted to RGB apple, save as jpg, convert it to rgb 1998 save in jpg format, then save in psd, then the copy of the original psd reduced to 640 * 480 and save as jpg. I think that I closed two files after that... now, when I opened the morning both the copy and the original have only a layer that says "layer 11' my saved jpg images are on the beach from 15 to 20 MB. and both the psd are 240 MB, I suppose I still have layers hidden inside the psd file... Please help me get back the layers...

  Yes, going to flatten an evolution of the default color profile. There is a checkbox convert without flattening.

  The reason is that converts the RGB values of the changes, if adjustment layers will have different effects according to the color space. Flattening is the only way to preserve the appearance.

  You can release the clipping mask, but will give you all the layers back automatically. Some objects and the effects could also be extended.

  You should always save the file TO fully editable character.

  From the PDF file, you can only manually things sort in a layer structure

• Photoshop script to copy all the layers of close PSD to open the current document

  Hi, I have very limited capacity script so this task is above my pay grade

  I'm looking for a script to read and copy all the layers in a PSD saved file and copy them into the current active document. The two documents have the same size and I need to be able to change text layers after copying. Anyone has any advice or examples of how I might be able to do this?

• Illustrator 2015.3 - cannot select objects in the layers palette

  After having upgraded to 2015.3 this morning, I can not select the layers to reorganize in the layers palette. The file is one I created before the update - but even a newly created file has this same problem.

  He puts the light color to the right of the object in the layers palette, but refused to move the object upward or down in the stack.

  Has anyone else had this problem and solved?

  Thanks Mike - I found my answer: decouple, decouple, dissociate. I who appears when objects are grouped a few times it can not be moved until it was separated.
