  Hi people,
  I'm developing an application that uses forms 6i with oracle 10g. I have the "Grant" and "Deny" options in my application. I have also two icons is TICK icon and next is WRONG icon.according to the corresponding status icons ("granted" or "Refused") should be displayed for me.for this i have used multi-record block composed of 10 documents. Here is my sample code.

  Using this code, I am able to get the visibility of icons, but it affects the entire column. For example, if the first status of cases is "granted" then TICK icon should appear to runtime.similarly if second status of cases is "denied" then ERROR icon should be displayed for me.but for me that the TICK icon is displayed for all 10 records if the State of the first record is "granted". How do the visibled corresponding icons according to status ("Granted" or "Refused"). Kindly give me a solution.

  Well, I don't think you can do it by making visible or invisible button/item. I can share an idea to create two image files a given and one for refuse. Multi record block you create an element of the image (non-database) and read the image on this element in the post (at the block level) based on the State values that you so condition...

• Display success or failure in report based on the return value

  Hello

  I try to incorporate TestStand to TestComplete by using the ActiveX/COM server adapter  I have the COM setup so that TestStand can call a test in TestComplete and have TestComplete to return a string value (true | false) to TestStand.

  Now I need to get the TestStand report to view 'pass' or 'fail' text for this call sequence, by the return of TestComplete string.

  Is there a place in Expressions or Actions Post I can say and how:

  Returns 'True' = pass

  Returns ' false ' = failure

  (Option 1). Use a string value Test.   The Limits.String would be 'True '.  It would be the easiest because you already channels return of your ActiveX call.   You could do your ActiveX calls a test of a string value.

  (Option 2). Use a step of success/failure.   You can set the string returned in a local variable and then create another step of success/failure that would pass/fail criteria as Locals.StringReturned is 'True '.

  I have an application with two expensive queries that takes a while to load (on the page sent). On the page there is a selection list filter. When the user changes, the page is sent and two classic run reports based on this filter. I have a dynamic action (load which) goes off on the amendment of the list and then submits the page. However, the loading icon is visible until the moment where that page is submitted. Once the page is sent, then also the reports takes some time to display all of the records. Is there a way to display some sort of an icon of loading time of the page load completely? OR this is not possible.

  I am new to Oracle Apex and tried to build a tree and also an interactive report based on column empno from emp table.
  
  I created a tree based on the emp table. Now, I want to see the records in the employee selected in the tree.

  I tried to follow the thread Re: question of tree but could not understand a lot of it.

  The approach to reload the page and display the report is fairly simple.

• You start by creating a new page element that will be used to store the selected node ID, for example. P100_SELECTED_NODE (you can do atext element and change hidden once everything works as expected)
  
• Change the query of the tree and the link column in the SQL of tree definition to a link to the same
  for example if your page is 100, you'd do the tree node a link to the same page but the value of the P100SELECTED_NODE with id_ of the node selected
  This is done here

• Updated interactive report based on shuttle Page

  I am trying to create an interactive report based on the selected items in a shuttle service.  On the page there is a page entitled P2_ITEMS element which is a shuttle service.  It displays a list of items for the user to choose and returns the item_id, the primary key of the main table.  I then an interactive report on the same page that displays data for the item_ids selected in the shuttle.  I use the sql query below in my interactive report, but nothing shows up in my report.  How can I get the interactive report to be updated when items are selected in the shuttle?

• interactive report based on an existing table

  Many people, it is the next step in the construction of my app.  I watched a tutorial of utube produced from a worksheet a table in a database and a set of pages to enter data and to display and edit data in the table.  I already have the table and I would like to make the pages I've seen.  a spreadsheet as a table which allows the edition of each row and a button create on top.  I guess I was also able to delete a line if necessary. I think I need to creata a page, select report and interactive report.  Continues in this way, I get a request for a sql statement that will likely tell the page generator that he needs to create the report.  I need to make the report based on a table in another table space.  At this page, I entered in the query designer and my table space is not listed, only the current APEX of table space is available.  I went in a different direction to create a form for a table and to the bottom of the sequence, he also requested information in the table.  My table db space is listed as available and I am able to create the registration in a satisfactory manner.

  Then, why I can see and interact with my db table space when you create a form for a table but can not find the db table space when you generate an interactive report?

  (1) Firstly, nuke has report page IR that you just created.  You don't need it.

  (2) then go back and run the wizard to create a Page.  Choose 'Form', then 'form on a Table with the report '.  Because your DBUSER1 has privileges discrete objects on the table in the schema DBUSER2, DBUSER2 must appear in the select list of "Table / view owner" in this wizard.

  Follow the steps in the wizard to create the interactive report and form, and you're done!

  I think that simulates what you are trying to accomplish. I've implemented the simplest method I could think of.

  The report is based on a collection of apex. If you are not familiar with this, you should study the documentation: APEX_COLLECTION

  To recreate my example, you should:

  (1) create a report (interactive) on your collection

  SELECT *
     FROM APEX_collections
   WHERE collection_name = 'MY_COLLECTION'
  

  (2) create a selection list page_item for the tables that you want to display (in my case, this is called "P38_TABLES")

  (3) create a dynamic action that triggers on the evolution of your selection list page_item. Dynamic action must be a parade of PL/SQL procedure the following code:

• Select a cell of interactive report based on another hidden cell

  Greetings,
  
  Someone know how to select a cell in an interactive report, based on the value of another cell in the same row and without this cell being shown?
  
  The integrated highlight feature IR does not seem to allow me to highlight a cell based on the value of another cell (correct me if I'm wrong).
  
  So I tried to go with a JavaScript solution, that I found in a thread somewhere on the forums of the APEX. I created a dynamic Action with this JavsScript code:

      $(this).siblings('[headers = "NOM_COMPLET_USAGER"]').css('background-color','red'); 
    }

  and it works perfectly when the column is displayed, but not when it is hidden (which makes perfect sense).
  
  So this is where I am stuck. The report has a lot of info, and I don't want to have a useless column projected and using precious space.

  You can try the following:

  1. Add a column to your sql that contains the background for example color

  SELECT
  EmpNo,
  Ename,
  initialst,
  Decode(INTENSITE,1,'red','white') background_color
  Of
  EMP;

  2. in the new updated interactive report background_color column is hidden.

  3. Select the NOM_COMPLET_USAGER column and set the following parameters

  Link text = > #NOM_COMPLET_USAGER #.
  Link attributes = > style = "background-color: #BACKGROUND_COLOR; #
  Target = > URL
  URL = > #.

  I have the following problem;
  
  I have a report that contains a link to a URL column. This column displays an icon of change for the link. The report displays a list of dependent records on the privileges of the users. A user can have the privilege to SELECT or MODIFY for all or part of the records. In addition, I want to display an icon on the column for records where the user has the privilege to CHANGE. I want to put a conditional statement on the change icon that looks something like this;
  
  Conditional display > Exists (SQL query returns at least rank) > SELECT id FROM tbl_name WHERE id = #ID #.
  
  I note that the recording may be designated by the #ID substitution string # when the column a column of link to download a document downloaded. But the method above (using the #ID substitution string #) returns an error.
  
  So the report would look like the following, an icon would show only on a registration if the user has the privilege of EDITING.
  

  ID     EDIT
  -----------
  1      ICON
  2
  3      ICON
  4      ICON

  If the record for the ID = 2 the user would be able to CHOOSE, but they would have no right to EDIT on this subject and therefore would not be able to make a link to the edit form.

• Create a report based on view

  Hi all
  
  I wanted to create a form with report based on two tables:
  
  1. I created a display (called COMBO) based on two tables
  2. I then created a form with the opinion-based report
  
  Until then, everything seemed fine until I tried to edit existing records - I get the error:

  ORA-20505: Error in DML: p_rowid=2002082600001172, p_alt_rowid=REPATRIATION_ID, p_rowid2=, p_alt_rowid2=. ORA-01776: cannot modify more than one base table through a join view 
  
  Unable to process row of table COMBO.

  Note: REPATRIATION_ID is the primary key of the table of repatriation. The other table is a plaintiff.
  
  & when I tried to create a new record - I got the error:

  ORA-01776: cannot modify more than one base table through a join view 
  
  Unable to process row of table COMBO.

  Someone enlighten me please!

  You create a trigger of "instead of" (insert/update/delete) on your sight to treat inserts etc in the tables 'real '.

  is it possible to display a column of report based on the selected build options?
  I can exclude the elements or even a full page by adding a compilation option, but I couldn't find any way to exclude a column of a report according to a compilation option (for example not displayed this column if the build option is xyz).
  Any ideas?

  I have not tested, but creating a condition for the column based on the APEX_APPLICATION_BUILD_OPTIONS could provide a solution.

  I use fontello.com for my web design project. But recently it does not display the icon.

  If Safe Mode is good, the more likely culprits are one of your extensions or incompatibility of the graphics driver. To work around the second question, you can disable use of the hardware acceleration Firefox to see if that helps.

  "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced

  In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

  It takes effect the next time you exit and restart Firefox.
