Display bar sliding Volume control

I had to reinstall my OS Vista from a backup recently. Before that, I had a bar that would leap whenever I raised or turned down the volume. He'd jump up on top of the bottom of my screen, right on the taskbar. Since reinstalling my operating system, I find that the display. I have the speaker icon. I do use it llike and Miss. Any ideas how to get it back?

Hello Mictbea,

·         Are you referring to the Volume icon in the taskbar?

·         You have the drivers installed for your sound device?

To display the Volume icon

By default, the Volume icon is not displayed when you initially install Windows on your system.

To enable the display of the Volume icon, follow these steps:

1. right click on the taskbar and click Properties.

2. click on the tab Notification area.

3. check (on) or disable (off) the options you want or do not want to display on the Taskbar Notification area.

4. make sure that the Volume is checked so that it shows the volume icon.

Thank you

  • Creating a bar of the Volume control for multiple audio files

    I'm pretty new to Flash and developing a project with a series of images containing unique video clips. Each of these frameworks are accessible via a menu based all chapter in being visible straight like a regular movie. I just added the audio for each 'chapter' / framework, all of which are unique from each other. I'm having a problem with the creation of a volume control bar that affects all the sound elements throughout all the images in the control bar unique on the General interface/skin that these chapters are working on. (With the help of Flash 8)

    I developed a sliding control bar, that works, but does not affect the volume, somehow. Is there something wrong with the coding that I use? (The control bar consists of a button nested in a clip and the action is applied to the mc. The bar/line to follow is 60px banner for a long time and control is to move horizontally while the increase reflects the increase in the volume. The original code was for a 100px line leave a tutorial from macromedia that I adjusted to be 60px banner) advice on best practices for the creation of a volume control bar would be greatly appreciated! (I currently have all of my audio files on separate layers, should I be placing these in a mc rather than just having them on the main timeline?) Thank you!!!

    Code on the shell/main drag...

    soundtrack.setVolume (50);
    END OF THE SOUND OBJECT

    GLOBAL VOLUME CONTROL

    volSlider.volBall.onRelease = function (): Void {}
    this.stopDrag ();

    };
    function updateVolume (): Void {}
    var flight: Number = (volSlider.volBall._x) * 2;
    soundtrack.setVolume (flight);

    I can't see the display of the volume bar when I increase / decrease the volume by Volume knob that I had in my Toshiba Qosmio F20. Hello Campus56,

    To resolve the problem, you must update the software Power Manager.

    Please download the updated release of Power Manager from below web link.

  • "Windows cannot display the control volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel. »

    missing volume control

    volume control was gone. I tried to go into my control panel to use it, but I get an error that says:

    "Windows cannot display the control volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel. »

    I have lost my Windows XP disc in a move and can't reinstall the file to a disk, how to fix this?

    When you use certain features sounds and Audio devices, you see a message like this:

    Windows cannot display the control of volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

    It seems that the c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe file is missing.

    This may occur if your antivirus/antimalware application thinks the file is suspicious and quarantines (effectively delete) the file.  You can replace the missing file with a backup copy of the file that is in another folder on your system.

    Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

    Assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive...

    We know that XP keeps copies of critical system files in the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

    Using the Explorer, search for or navigate to the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

    Locate the sndvol32.exe file, right-click, choose copy (it copies the file to the Windows Clipboard).

    If your Solution Explorer settings are not set to display file extensions, you will see only a file called 'sndvol32' which has an icon that looks like to the volume control slider (this is the file you need).

    If the file is missing in the dllcache folder, look for a copy of the file in this folder:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

    Browsing from a level in the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32

    Right-click on an empty area in the window of c:\windows\system32 and choose Paste to paste in the missing file where it belongs.

    Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file.

    Now try your features sounds and Audio devices.

    Note that run sfc/scannow will not replace the missing file because it is not this that sfc/scannow does.

    Hi Paul and it isn't Haggis cat, Pepe.

    See this solution of Dan needing at least a Media Smart program to get the OSD volume to work. Maybe there is a new Menu MS where he works on its own and if it is, please send the link and I'll try it.

    There was a problem with the OSD menu minimizing a full-screen youtube video, but HP seems to have fixed that.

    If I find it, I'll post the link here.

    How can I add volume control to my quick launch task bar? I tried dragging the icon to the taskbar, which did not work.

    Hello Hassan.

    Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum

    Start by making a right click on the taskbar, and then select Properties. Select the tab, Notification area and choose Volume under the icons in the system. That should put back your icon on the status bar at the bottom right of your screen. If she does not please repost here and let us know.

    I hope this helps!
