• Computer laptop LCD screen showing nothing.

  I stop the laptop yesterday evening. Tempted to put on in the morning but the LCD display lights don't. Windows boots to the top, the fan runs, the DVD player shows an activity, I can hear the windows startup sound, but not display on screen.

  On the search through the forums, I came across a few tests to isolate the problem.

  I tried:

  1. the BIST(Built in self test) LCD: Passes. All colors are displayed without distortion of any kind. Crystal clear display.

  2. connect the laptop to an external display: pass. I have connected to a VGA monitor. The screen lights up. I'm typing this message by using the form external infact.

  As these two tests have been passed by the laptop. I don't know what the problem is. Is it the cable or something else? Please Guide.

  Thanks for the quick response. One thing I would like to add that I found the display was not Virgin but VERY dim as it was almost invisible.

  I checked with a local technician. He changed the display cable, but the laptop screen has always had a very dark view.

  The culprit remaining was the motherboard. I did check and found that some officials of the transistor brightness control has gone wrong. He replaces it and Voila!

  The screen is back to normal. Thanks for the help of sir. Very much appreciated.

• Display of CD - RW 700 MB 552 MB Virgin

  I bought a Supermedium Virgin re-writable CD (CD - RW 80 / 700 MB / 4 x - 10 x) to burn an ISO image (617 MB).

  After formatting the CD, its only display 552 MB total space (instead of 700 MB).

  My system features:

  1. laptop Dell Inspiron 1545

  2 32 - bit OS

  3 DVD Writer (PLDS DVD +-RW DS - 8A3S)

  4. Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2.

  This has nothing to do with Windows. Contact the manufacturer.

• Widget Composition Blank - how to keep States from failing to 'Normal' to 'Active' when you try to change the display of 'Normal '. I want normal view to vacuum/Virgin and turning and views active at all the same. DO NOT the case.

  I use a blank publication widget to create navigation for my site. For some reason I can't change the 'Normal' view it always default Active which in turn messes everything I'm doing.

  When you select the trigger/target in the composition that it always by default moves to the active state, you must manually select the normal state in the States Panel and then apply the changes.

• When you open an external link, a new window opens and displays the home page

  Updated to the latest version (36.0 Linux) and now whenever I open a link from an external application to be steam E-mail IRC or any other source, instead of the page is displayed a new window will open and then load the home page. I tried the default browser to something else (which opened the links correctly) switching and vice versa, safe mode and even a refresh, but the problem persists.

  I found this in the bug tracker.

  Apparently it seems to be a problem with an old hack in XFCE or desktop environments possible on X in general, which is no longer supported in Firefox 36. A solution fast until they solve this problem, is to open a new terminal and enter:

  sudo gedit /usr/share/xfce4/helpers/firefox.desktop
  (replace gedit by any other text editor you use)
  .. .and change the last two lines:
  X-XFCE-orders = %B - distance "openURL (about: Virgin, new window)"; %B;
  X-XFCE-CommandsWithParameter = %B - remote "openURL (%s)"; %B %s;
  to read:
  X-XFCE-orders = %B;
  X-XFCE-CommandsWithParameter = B %%s;
  then save the document, of course.

  This solves the problem for me immediately.

• How can I change the settings of cookie/javascript since the last update of mozilla tools icon has disappeared and I can't access my email from Virgin Media account

  I tried to connect it to my Virgin Media email account and get the message on the activation of cookies and javascript. When I followed all of the options (which are set out in all your help pages) I can not connect on my email account. Other Web sites that use user names and passwords seems to be affected. The only problem I see is the site of Virgin Media. How can I access my email account now.

  To change the setting of cookie

  Go to the Firefox Panel its on the far right last button.
  Go to options and then go to privacy
  and make sure that it says Firefox will: remember the story

  If it still does not work, I would recommend reset firefox.

  Your screen is limited to see photos of lower pixel... 400 x 600 for example. If someone sends you a 5megapixel photo as well as phone screen takes a 1.3Megapixel picture, all see you is a red x as it is to adults.

  Try to have the pic sent in a lower resolution. It must then be veiwable.

  Let us know if a reference to a smaller resolution photo works, thank you.

• Problems using backbone see to add to BBUI display Div in BB10

  I'm experimenting with using views of the spinal column to fill the contents of a BACKUP screen. So I have a screen empty BBUI that contains only the div and screen script tags to load the scripts with the code for views of the spinal column etc. The views of the spine are responsible for creating the bbui divs and adding them to the div. screen bbui I created a controller to handle the onscreenready event and pass the item to a view of the spine.

  In my first experience, I used a view that created an imagelist bbui a collection of the spine (and other views of backbone of sup) and added the imagelist created onscreenready to the bbui div screen Virgin
  It seems to work, but then I realized that the title of bbui created by the display of the spinal column covers the first element of the imagelist.
  So if I had a list of 5, only four components were visible. The five elements would be visible if I not add the title bar. This problem occurs only in BB10. BB6 and BB7 make as expected (tested with ripple and simulators).

  I noticed that the element passed by onscreenready contains the bbui screen, and since I am adding to this item passed to the display of the spine, I thought the error was adding to this and not the screen. Then I tried passing element.firstChild (which is the screen bbui as far as I can tell) instead, but no change.

  My experience was similar, but I used views of the spinal column to generate groups of control and containers for entry. A similar problem with the title bar, but I can not select the input field to enter text. Yet once again, this only happens about BB10.

  If I do not use backbone and enter items manually in the form as usual, it works as expected.

  Anyone have any ideas?

  1 Select the item (P1_EMPNO) still a Virgin after selecting the folder even if the session state has been defined using the da

  2 cannot search, example if I just type BL LOV, always search field empty and open return all records of data.

  3. also unable to see the application EK_ML_SEARCH in the State of Session preceding the point.

  Hi Zack, looks like you want to see EMPNO designating the LOV, correct?

  According to me, which caused "trouble" is the 'Display, return, & Default sort Columns(Value Required)' field and you want to settle for other columns assignments.

  By default, the field "Display, return, & default sort columns (high-grade)" allows you to specify the column in which you want to display on the screen after selecting (in your case 1 for EMPNO) and allows you to specify which column to save on the DB (in your case also 1 for EMPNO).  So, I spent it to 1.1

  Once this is done, it is not supposed yo have EMPNO mapped the area of the 'column Element '. & Mapping (s)  This field is for OTHER items that are not your LOV point.

  I hope this makes sense now.

  I also put the DA never run.  It is not at all necessary.

  Let me know if I did not understand what you want to accomplish.

• Why are JPEG images on the hard drive of my computer all of a sudden now Virgin?

  JPEG images on the hard drive of my computer are now white (it reads 0kb and the tile is missing) and when I go to open it in Windows Photo Viewer, it gives me an error saying that there is not. I noticed that it happens to almost all of the photos that I have edited in Lightroom 5. I shot an entire season of football last year, all in JPEG format and with my guards, I advanced and edited in Lightroom and now they are virgins. I never moved my photos anywhere. I turned the game in November, created the folder for this game, and that's all. I'm almost a year more later to print them for my portfolio and the file is missing! Lightroom can show the photo, but I can't make adjustments in the develop module because the file is blank on my computer. The weird part is that the sticker is there, the number of correct image is there, and when I click to display in the Explorer in Lightroom, it pulls up the JPEG right, if the location is OK in Lightroom, just no thumbnail image and no image size when I go to open it using the Windows Photo Viewer. I checked the other games that I shot and it's happened to almost all games.

  If you have pictures on your camera cards, then of course you can simply copy them to the appropriate locations.

  There are plug-ins in Lightroom that can recover the preview using Lightroom, but these will be smaller and lower in quality than the original. Perhaps one of our plug-ins experts can suggest the good plug-in.

  If the hard drive goes really wrong, as I suggested, you definitely want to be replaced. If this is the case, you won't continue to use it. You might want to run some diagnostic disk on this subject.
