• Recording does not display performance...

  Every time I close and then return later to a CS5 document display performance returns to the standard. I chose high quality, but when I save and close the document is lost and I have to recover every time.

  It wasn't my version of InDesign foamier behavior.

  Is there a control / "Preset" I'm missing? I looked in preferences and other regions, but found nothing that seemed to define the display of the document performance.

• How to stop the blob column don't affect display performance.

  I have an external table that has a blob column. The table has at present about 40 recordings that the blob column is reading in some 150 MB total records. When I try to view the external table performance is terrible, takes to always display the table. I thought far around from this would be to create a view that would leave the blob column, in an attempt to show folders quickly, but it has no impact on performance.
  
  Is it possible to create the view that returns the columns I want quickly for these 40 weird files?

  You can try to create 2 external tables out of this file, without the BLOB column and another containing the BLOB column.

  Then query the external table BLOBless when you have no need for the BLOB.

• By default of type display Performance InDesign 2015.4

  With the new GPU enhancements and updates, InDesign now defaults to the screen of high-quality on any paper. If I try to change the value default of standard or fast display in the preferences, click OK and then go back to the preferences, it is always set on high quality screen.

  A work around I have found is to just change the typical display and high quality settings, but I wonder if there is a real difficulty for this.

  Couple of workarounds:

  • Quickly change the view, click OK, go back and change to typical.
  • Leave the app, clean the prefs, raise, typical Exchange.

• Problem with the display performance

  I have a table with columns A, B, C and D. PK are on A and b.
  Now I have created views which is a select statement on the table that contains the columns: 'A + B' form E, A, B, C and D.
  When I try to select the view by E in where clause, the performance falls dramatically... Is there a way I can index this somehow? If I use WHERE clause in the other columns indexed on the table in the query is super fast.
  
  I can provide an example with the actual DOF if necessary, but I hope that the heart of the problem is clear.

• 5 displays perform very well - notice of 5 views running at all

  I have 5 'small' views that run very well - they return all the lines (a few hundred to a few thousand) in just a few seconds. They have all the same 3 exact fields that in the view 1 should be the PK if it were a table. View #6 brings together the other 5 on these fields with left join syntax (some points of view have not all possible combinations, while others have multiple matches). Due to the multiple matches in some of the views, the large result set has a fairly high level of duplication in some columns, but we're OK with that.
  
  The problem is that view #6 for all practical purposes does not nothing. He's right there. A small test batch ran for several days before we dropped on it. I know that complex views (views) to honor not always advice but we tried some anyway. parallel and hash join.
  
  Experience to materialise the 5 point view to see return 6 results (and exactly as we want) in a few seconds! Unfortunately we are not allowed to use the materialization without too much red tape option that is not valid. The plan view on display indicates joins to nested loops between the 5 while the materialized view on shows hash joins, so the use of the indicator of hash join attempted nothing helps. But the difference of the join method does not seem to explain it.
  
  We went in a another way of getting the data is attached to the need, but there are some debates and the curiosity to see if it is one approach valid. Everyone knows something like that? Is a view of multiple views, a bad idea?
  

• Switch to Win 7 kills the quality display performance option?

  Recently, I switched from Windows XP to Windows 7.

  I use CS2. The files with that I work contain PDF pages placed in InDesign. I checked that all the links are good.

  The placed PDF pages contain some pages that are scans and some containing the living text.

  I have the settings default for InDesign value high quality screen and also checked with the context menu that is on now for the document.

  Printing is fine, and export quality is very good. (Yes I restarted, a really familiar with this setting and them around slot tension while trying several times, I even deleted the object level display settings.)

  When I was on XP, I had a nice crisp preview, now there is no difference between 'Typical view' and 'High quality Display', not even a glow that I pass the parameters. It definitely changes if I select 'quick view' to these gray boxes.

  All my text on the pages placed, even the living text, is really jagged, even if you approach.

  My graphics driver is up to date, I tried to delete my pagefile and makes also bigger. This is currently the system managed to around 8000 MB.

  I'm on a HP Pro 3130, 2.93 GHz, 8 GB of ram and an ATI Radeon HD 4550 video card. I have the same monitors as before, a set of (monitors double, identical) HP L1906 recommended resolution. I tried a Hertz 60 and 75.

  Old files, what was going on well before and also new files all share this question.

  I don't know what else to try.

  CS2 is completely not supported under Windows 7.

  In addition, 8 GB of RAM, I'd imagine (hope) that you are using the 64-bit versions. It is an another fly in the ointment.

  Sorry, but it's time to upgrade to CS5. And that's pretty much your last chance at an upgrade price. CS2 is the oldest eligible version.

  I suggest that take advantage of him now before you have to pay full price.

  We have an application XMLDB home grown to make the validation of diagram against incoming messages. Enforcement issues several queries like below. I know, it analyzes the hard, which is very bad, but it's not where the real problem is at the moment. The problem is with the index of XDBHI_IDX field against xdb resource table $. We use a very specific way of results in the rows returned 0 or 1, but as you can see that the domain index has an intermediate result of 48041 lines, so the index is not effective here. Statistics are up to date, the index has been rebuild. Does anyone know what we can do with the index of the field to do what he must do: identify an xml document in this way?

• Blurred PNG images at 300 DPI and quality display performance

  OK, so I'm working on my friend's resume. She is a manager of social media and we want to add social media icons in its header.

  When I placed the images (300 DPI and 32px) image shows really small and is very pixelated. I'm trying to resize them and insert content on the framework for the picture is very distorted and unrecognizable. The image at 300 dpi real but the effective ppi is 101.

  Is there something I need to do in Photoshop before you place the image or a setting or something I am missing in InDesign?

  I read a lot of discussions and questions about it, but I can't find a good answer to my problem.

  Icons like these should almost certainly be all vectors for printing, raster images. That said, if you have no other choice, open in photoshop, resize check resample image and use more neighbors for the method.

• Performance ID CS6 display problem

  Evere since upgrading to InDesign CS6, my display performance seems to make visuals erraticaly. By default, I keep everything updated "Typical" (under view > display performance). I noticed that some pages will make my placed graphics as if my DP is set to 'Fast' (showing solid grey boxes). I also noticed when I change my setting of 'High quality', some of the pages will be always rendered as 'Rapid' and some as "Typical". It's happening on different pages in the same document, but also happening in different (not all) of my documents.

  I was wondering if anyone else knows a smiliar problem?

  It is certainly not typical. One possibility is that the display object level settings are enabled and value lower quailty for a reason any on these images.  Another possibility is that your prefs are watered. See replace your preferences

• External display doen't run on 1680 x 1050 (60 Hz) - Tecra A9

  I have a Tecra A9 and want to use my new TFT-display but the Graphics Media Accelerator Intel still uses 59Hz instead of 60 Hz. 59Hz is no support for the display mode. Whenever I change 60 Hz, it returns right after my click on OK.
  What can I do?

  The 1680 x 1050 seems to be very high resolution screen.
  Have you tested if you can choose the refresh rate of 60 Hz screen with a lower resolution?

  In any case, the difference between 59 HZ and 60 Hz isn't huge so you will not see the disadvantages of display performance.

• InDesign open all files in high quality display

  Hello

  I'm using InDesign and Adobe Suite CC per day. Last week, I realized that after I open each file InDesign my cursor would turn into the image of the ball (loading) and would take a while to get him back to the normal cursor. After investigation, I worked more on what each of my files open in the high quality screenthat previously she opened as typical display.

  Is there a preference I can change? Can it be easily solved?

  Exact version of InDesign? Operating system?

  Try going in Edition > Preferences > display performance (Windows) or InDesign CC > preferences > display performance (Mac). Is the display by default (top) high quality? The typical display value.
