Hello mate,

If your LCD has 2 or less visible defective pixels, it is not defective. However, if your LCD has 3 or more visible defective pixels, it will be considered defective by Lenovo and is replaceable on request, if within the warranty period.

  • How can I make my default 'W' magic wand; Get rid of the display pixel grid

There are two issues of interface with Photoshop user that disrupt my work flow. The first and the most important are that W now triggers the quick selection tool by default instead of (for me) much more useful magic wand. I like the idea of the quick selection tool, but I find rarely as effective as the magic wand. So I would banish the W key and let the magic wand rule without competition.

Not as important, but remains a problem for me is the superposition of the pixel grid when zoomed in. He often obscures detail and hinders my ability to pull a good mask rather than strengthen it. I can understand how it is people who work in some areas, but for my work, it is almost never useful. Can I activate or otherwise banish him entirely?

    Thank you

    Hi London_Crockett,

To get rid of the Quick Selection tool, you can use the toolbar edition introduced in version of Photoshop CC2015.1.

Go to the toolbar change > drag the toolbar list of additional tools Quick Selection tool

For the second question, go to the view menu > show > uncheck the pixel grid.

Can anyone tell me please what settings change so I can view the pixel dimensions that I select while cropping? I've been looking online and looking around in the settings and can't find how to do this. I really think this must be a default setting.

    Thanks for any help.

If you go to window > info you should be able to see the dimensions in pixels, of the area of harvest when you move.

It comes to the Exchequer the wide/Dark value with view > pixel set to grid.

Display pixels do not support DA update:

Refreshment - triggers a refresh of the elements concerned. Note that not all elements support a refresh, you can use it for interactive reports, conventional, graphical reports, list view and all types of elements with the LOV support cascading. Plug-ins can support this action as well.

Display the image using a classic that will allow a DA standard to use r.

  • Comments by WinXP can cause higher res display my monitor?

I did only 20 "(1680 x 1050) displays connected to the MacPro running Fusion 3.0.1 but I want to test an application in my Windows XP guest who wants to have a bigger screen."  How can I configure my guest to be higher than my physical screen display for example 1920 x 1200?  I know I've seen invited Linux have higher res displays and they appear nice and scaling down in vmware, but my Windows XP screen of the guest takes the dimensions of my vmware window and always displays pixels one for one.

The image of the Virtual Machine window below was taken with grab and is 665 x 460 pixels (the actual size of the virtual machine window) but in the Windows XP prompt resolution is 1920 x 1200 and I turned on the magnifying glass, so I could show you the display settings dialog box showing you a higher resolution and a native resolution of my MacBook Pro is only 1440 x 900.  I was able to accomplish this by adding the following lines to the configuration of the Virtual Machine's .vmx file and the virtual machine must be stopped, not suspended, and merger closed when you edit the .vmx config file.

    monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "TRUE"
    monitor.virtual_exec = "hardware"

Note that you will not use some of the VMware tools works with these parameters added to the configuration of the file but it will lead to a higher resolution then the native resolution of the host and the Virtual Machine window.

Now if you can work in mode full screen, then you should be able to achieve a higher resolution without adding these parameters, but I got the impression that you wanted it windowed so why the information presented.

Where is the .vmx file search the help file for VMware Virtual Machine package or seek to collect Information for VMware Fusion

Note that the status bar in the picture says that VMware Tools is not installed, but they are, and this message is a result of adding two parameters don't try so not install VMware Tools because the message is misleading in this use case.

  • Display problem with 9.5 and 9.5.5

I have two PDF files that display a picture of simple test consisting of 3 colored rectangles.  In one, the image is displayed with the normal BlendMode, in the other, BlendMode multiply on a white background.

The latter causes a color change.  The files are bit for bit identical, except that /BM / multiply and the other /BM /Normal . (Yes, the two spaces are real.)  There is text on the page as well.

It was reported under Player 9.5.5 Windows XP; I reproduce it under 9.5.0 under Windows 7.

The same files is displayed correctly under 11.0.03.  As the reporter is running XP, I can't upgrade it.

The image is an object embedded XObject that is encoded PNG.

If I look at the displayed pixel, here's what I see:

    Color Good Bad
    RedFF0000EE1F25
    Blue0000FF3552A 5
    Pink (ish)FF0080EC107F

'Good' is what the original PNG image and BlendMode normal display.  Bad, that's what 9.5.x displays.

The file with Multiply displays correctly in XP with GSView - what it seems certain that this is a bug of rendering in the drive.

I don't see a way to attach files to this note, but I can provide the files.

What I tell my colleague / other users?  Is 9.5, updated for this kind of bug?  Or XP users blocked with this question?

I tried to download the latest player for XP SP3 yesterday and was offered only 9.5.0.  11.0.3 was offered today.

I can't explain the difference, but that's why I thought about 9.5 was the end of the line for XP.

    Thanks for the pointer.

  • Change the property width / height in pixels?

Accidentally, I changed the screen size in the properties of the Panel go to pixels, inches, or centimeters. I dropped the keyboard when it happened if I saw the buttons were pushed. Can someone tell me please how to make the width and height properties display pixels please?

Thank you for your help, but I found it. The option I was looking for was in the INFO Panel. I had to search every single menu item to find, and after 3 hours, I opened finally this one. In the combo box in the right corner of the Panel, it gives you a choice of display colors and details of objects. I don't know how but I must have pushed a shortcut key when I went from the keyboard to display centimeters. I'll definitely keep this door open now ><>

    Hello

    I guess that your TV support a resolution of 1280 x 720 (720 p) HD display pixels.
This means that you TV has a large 16:9 aspect ratio.

We must define the external display resolution in the settings of your graphics card, the same resolution or a resolution that would support the 16:9 as well.

The Full HD LCD supports 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution which is also 16:9

  • Panoramas - Error Message: the Documents must be registered before they can be merged

I use a Macbook Air and have downloaded a demo of 14 elements.  I open the JPEG images to my hard drive in the photobin, go to the guided panorama section, select contributor 'auto' and then click 'create panorama '.  It worked well once, but now whenever I get the error message: "Documents must be registered before they can be merged."  They are saved; I have them open directly from my office and not retouched in some way.  I can't get past this message.  Does anyone have advice?  Thank you.

The documents are NOT saved in the way the Photomerge script looks. The problem is precisely that you "does not modify them in some way.

You may have noticed that you get this message with files unedited guidance "portrait."

The reason is that when shooting in "portrait" mode, the camera does not write the pixels vertically, it added a tag metadata to record the orientation of the camera. This editor browsers way and know how to display pixels. When you open, then "Save" or "Save as", the pixels are written in the right orientation and the orientation tag returns to normal. For example, any vertical jpeg created from a raw file will have been edited and 'saved '.

I checked that the Photomerge process does not require that you open and save these vertical images in older versions (up to PSE10?).

So, if you intend to make a panorama with vertical photos, the solution is to open and save before you begin the process.

If you don't the have not yet made, the shortest path seems to start the process of the organiser (menu Edit > panorama).

You select your files and use the edit mode 'fast' to change something, for example the sharpness. Who saves your files and open them directly in the photobin; they are already selected (white box around the thumbnail in the photobin). Alternatively, you can "export" files of new files in a new folder. Export can also resize your files that may be needed to avoid a result that is greater than the limit of 30 000 pixels, or a lack of RAM for large panoramas.

How to know if a vertical photo is really 'saved '? Use the options for information about the files in the Organizer. In the metadata > given the camera, scroll down to the size of the image in pixels, the orientation is slightly less (90 or - 90 what the tag).

If you make many panoramas in vertical mode, you can use the Organizer to save everything quickly.

Preference, add a tag for the candidates to the panoramas.

Then looking (in detail) to the "vertical". This will select all the vertical images, be they only tag or already registered.

Look at the Panel on the right for the orientation data as described above.

Of course, if you're used to the way of work of panoramas in older versions, it is a good reason to keep the old version alongside your new.

  • to create panoramic pictures does not work

Now, I work with Photoshop elements 14. I used Photoshop elements 12. I want to create panoramic Photos, and I also have the training of 14 Photoshop elements program. In this program, the trainer will to ' "Assistant" and clicks with the key change the photos he'd like to set up. They have a white frame.

I tried the same thing, you press the shift key and have a white frame around the photos. While I wanted to go further, press the button 'create panorama', but in my case, it appears "documents must be saved before." Now, I don't know what to do. My photos have the white frame, they are already sauvé case. I'm still working with Windows 7, but in the near future I will work with Windows 10. Is there a mistake in my system or in the program? I hope you can help me or tell me how I could create panoramic photos in another way. It was much easier in Photoshop 12 items.

    Thanks for your efforts.

No, what the program meant by 'saved', it's that your photographs in vertical (portrait) format must be "opened and saved.

The reason is that the pixels of your original portrait photos are not really shot. They are written as 'landscape' pixels and a tag, a label is added to the section of the image exif metadata to indicate programs how to display pixels. If you open these files in the editor and save, the rotation will be 'cooked' to the pixels and ready for positioning and sewing.

You can tell if a photo portrait must save looking at the properties of the file in the editor or organizer.

  • Problems with the picture quality when viewing under 100%. First post on the forum.

Hello everyone. I'm sorry, we have the GET acquainted with this way, but I'm having some problems and this is one of my recent options to get the help.   Let me explain the problem.    Consultation of a file of less than 100% zoom, everything seems jagged as anti aliasing is missing.  Once I'm at 100% zoom, everything seems as it should. The saved file (for example jpeg format) is correct. I can zoom out and seems to be always faithful to the image. The problem is related to photoshop. I installed my latest GPU drivers twice just to be sure, and it was not that.   This problem started last night and I'm not sure how to solve.  If I work on images low resolution, it is not a problem as bad because I will be working on 100% zoom, but I work on images high resolution / paintings. Somewhere around 8000 x 5000 pixels so, work 100% is not that feasible. I have attached an image that illustrates this problem. The right one is zoomed in by the version and the left is the zoom in version.  Yes, the noise is touched by it, evil, but this started last night. until then, everything seemed fine even with the noise or the sharpness of the world output. I can't imagine what I could have done to trigger it.

test.jpgThat said, I'm at the mercy of more sophisticated here people. I hope I have posted this question in the right section. It's my first post here so I'm sorry if I missed something.   Looking forward to your answers.

This is a simplistic view, I feel may help you to understand the reality.

The only time that you look at your image pixels in Photoshop is when you have zoomed in to 100%, it has your look at the pixels of the image in Photoshop for your image at the resolution of your display.

At any zoom level, looking for an image on a scale that has more or less of pixels that your real picture that too, these are displayed in your display resolution.

Scaling done by Photoshop is made to display your image is made for good performance, not the best image quality fast interpolation.   That's why at certain levels of zoom image quality seems poorer than at other levels of zoom.

High resolution screen now have add a new problem.   User interfaces have been designed for screens with resolutions around 100 PPI elements like text, icon and other things like checkboxes, buttons etc. were created size so it would be usable it are more or less fixed 100 dpi.   While Photoshop is designed to scale to your images in order to work well on it is has not been designed with a scalable user interface.  Photoshop can't change its UI regardless of its display high resolution will display image for you.  Display Image in Photoshop has the same resolution as the rest of the User Interface of Photoshop.  Just as there is only one resolution in all layers in a document. CC 2014 2xUI changes.  PS IU is proportional to the image of the area is to the actual resolution of the poster of resolution 1/2.

Photoshop CC 2014 2 x UI balance all Photoshop User Interface, including the image shown at 200% which is 1/2 the resolution of your screen you cut effectively display pixel count to 1/4 of the number of actual pixels.   Your new running on a low resolution screen.     If your screen has a native resolution 200 PPI you run it at 100 ppi if your display has a 300 PPI resolution you run at 150ppi.    Which goes against the reason for high resolution.  Who would you be able to edit your images to a print resolution.  Adobe cc2x UI will scale the user interface, but not the window image soa inage is 216ppi on the Surface Pro 3 user interface is great and dpoes do not match. screen

To be able to edit your images to a print resolution you need to display the a a print resolution and you need and demand her can scale its image and its independent user interface display.

Currently there is no OS interface to have several areas of resolutions on a screen and applications such as Photoshop does not scale UI and Image independently.  OS and Photoshop fits what is displayed.  Executable of Adobe Photoshop is coded in a way that it say Microsoft Windows OS it will load display scaling so that he can use the native resolution of your poster.  Currently only Photoshop CC 2014 offer you with the possibility to run you view at half the resolution.

Windows fits view you lots of resolution and as several presets.  as 100%, 125%, 150% and 200% half of resolution Adobe.    You can make a Windows registry and add an external manifest Photoshop file of the Microsoft Windows tell to handle display scale.  I have a machine to windows Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Mr. its LCD screen has a resolution of 216PPI.  Windows 8.1 had 4 preset for the scale of its LCD screen.
