  I am using livecycle workbench 8.2 and flex 3.0.  Now I'm making the form of livecycle workbech guide.  I use the provided process: samples-forms-> render form Guide 1.0.  and use the SimpleMortgageLoan-formGuide(this has all 3 files: swc, xdp and xsd) for trial.

  I am able to get the PDF and html using process and sample pdf are the option to provide.   The Java Console offers you nothing in this case. The browser crashes then the JConsole is not available. This type of accident is almost always caused by a conflict with two Java execution environments. In your case it will be Oracle Jinitiator and another... the question is "what the other jre is causing the problem? This could be one of the following:

  1. Sun Java Plugin (YPI/JRE)

  2. Add the browser-toolbars (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc.). All of these toolbars or access an external JRE or include their own within their facilities.

  3. improper installation of JInitiator.

  I recommend the following steps:

  1. close ALL open browsers

  2 uninstall plugin Sun Java and JDK versions. See the Control Panel Add/Remove programs

  3 uninstall all versions of Oracle Jinitiator.

  4 uninstall all toolbar browser add ons like Google Toolbar, etc.

  5 RESET

  6. with all browsers closed, install Oracle Jinitiator. If you use an earlier to 1.3.1.22 Langis version, I recommend to get the latest (1.3.1.30). Remember to change the configuration in formsweb.cfg if you choose a different version and copy the new file to jinit13130.exe to ORACLE_HOME\jinit

  7. open a browser and try to run a form (of course, you need to first start OC4J).

  Making the guide in the workspace is very easy and fast. Just point the guide in the field of the action profile.

  To view the guide in a browser, I created a simple process

  who calls the rendering process Guide (in the application of the (System) Guide). It's a generic rendering engine which accepts a URL to indicate which guide you want to view as a TargetURL to update the button submit for presentations.   You will not be able to display the form of process or change these values in view profile screen.

  You must create custom fields that are mapped to the shape of the profile of the user process. Then, you create triggers to update user form from the fields defined by the user when the user changes them, they get pushed to the shape of the target process by adding the names of the tasks in the commissioning process definition. Then, this would trigger updates of the target resource.

• The form - display title

  I noticed that the settings as properties in Livecycle do not have a Windows Option/show title as in Acrobat. I need the forms I created to display the title of the form, not the name of the file. I can't find that anywhere as a choice, and it won't let you change it in the PDF file once it is in Acrobat. So is this possible and I'm just missing where it is?

  The reason that all the options are greyed out is the security settings. It must in fact enable security, then disable it that me frustrated for weeks until what I thought of her.

  1. open the form in Acrobat Pro and access the document properties box

  I have a requrement in which I'm supposed to display a checkbox based on the selection of the value to the employee type drp down.
  
  Thus, for example, if the field of employee type is selected with a value of 'Entrepreneur', a box should appear on the user profile form. If the value is anythign to another aprt of the contractor, the form should not display this box.
  
  Any ideas if this can be achieved OOB or it would require customization to the JSPs?

  You can use ajax and DHTML to achieve this functioanlity. I've already implemented and it works very well.
