Distinguish uppercase / lowercase in Datamaps

Hi all

A few problems with the distinction uppercase / lowercase in datamaps in FDMEE.

I would change the incoming source data for all uppercase when importing before even using Jython.

Tried this (loosely based on the Administrator's guide):

inFileName = fdmContext ["INBOXDIR"] + fdmContext ["FILENAME"]
outFileName = fdmContext ["INBOXDIR"] + "' / DataFile.txt '"

INFILE = open (infilename, "r")
outfile = open (outfilename, "w")

for the line in infile:
outfile. Write (Line.Upper ())

outfile. Close()
fdmContext ["FILENAME"] = 'DataFile.txt.

... but it bombs infile = open stage (infilename, "r").

I have to do something special to make it work file IO?

Is there a better approach to dealing with 100s of source files in different formats, who need all their data converted to uppercase?

Hello

Why should you convert uppercase the file?

is SQL Server or Oracle database?

Also, for your second post. I would say not thinking to change the file name for the import file.

Basically, if you have any condition where you need run certain processes in the source file you would like:

1. create a backup of your original file (essentially renaming it) Ex: your original file is TEST.txt, and then rename it to TEST.orig

2. create a new file with the name of your original source file. Ex: create the new file TEST.txt

3. read the contents of the file renamed in step 1, process/analysis/whatever and write to the file created in step 2

so you already have your new data to a file with the original name that is imported.

I hope this helps.

    I'm a little confused as to how I can connect when I change the case.

    Or I misunderstand "breaks".

    Thank you

    Apparently, you are on the database server and the database server has OS-authentication is enabled.
    This means that as soon as you use / as sysdba
    the anything1 and anything2 are ignored.
    Like you didn't not test this using an ordinary connection (without as sysdba) you show passwords are not case sensitive.
    Also you should not connect using 'as sysdba' all the time.

  • Distinguish uppercase / lowercase in the validators of the entity

    Hello

    I use ADF 11 g with Oracle 11 g business components.

    In some of my features, I set the secondary keys to apply different unique key validator. They work well, but I want to make it case insensitive. Is it possible to do it without changing the NLS_COMP and NLS_SORT database settings? I don't want to change because I read, it causes performance issues due to the full sweep of the table. Also, maybe I need to make comparisons case sensitive (for example password)

    Thank you.

    Deniz,

    I just did a quick test - the custom error message for unique indexes also works well. For example, create an index:

    create unique_index MY_INDEX_NAME on hr(upper(last_name));

    The project bundle model message, then add a message with the "MY_INDEX_NAME" key and the value of the error message. It displays the message easy to use, just like the 37.8.3 section describes constraints.

    OK, I'm a gross novice with Dreamweaver. I just copied my whole

    was that a few of my pages was not displayed. It turned out to be the case

    Is there an option I can put in Dreamweaver to call capitalization

    I should probably convert all my directory names and file to lower

    Which version of dreamweaver?
    So recent, open the definition of this site and in the first part or so will be a
    question about the use of check links which is case-sensitive.

    Then re-create the site cache, I think that it's menu dw-> site-> advanced - recreate
    Then, under the site menu, make a check of link at the site level.

  • convert the code to UPPERCASE lowercase tags?

    I have my preferences set in DW3 to be "break tag < small > default" and "default case of attribute in tiny = 'value' BUT I inherited a site where there are a lot of random uppercase tags, mixed to lower case in the source." I want that my tags to be lowercase. Is there a way - an extension or something - I'm not here to convert? I tried "Format of Source", but not joy.

    I want things like < / HEAD > BODY, TD or TR etc. to be correctly converted to lowercase.

    Any ideas how I can clean sweep throughout the site and correct cela and don't mess with the contents of the page?

    E. Michael Brandt wrote:

    If you do this to several documents at once (select entire Site, if there is not too much pages, or choose Select the files after you have selected a moderatley large number of files in the file window), they will all open and expect your saving

    In fact, they will not open. When you select the option search and replace throughout the site, Dreamweaver warns you that changes to files that are not open cannot Ωtre annulΘe. Dreamweaver made all the changes to files closed in silence.

    Given that the different tags and attributes are involved, to help find and replace is likely to be a long and tedious process. A simple way to convert all tags and attributes to lowercase without affecting the content is to select file > convert > XHTML 1.0 Transitional. If, for any reason, you do not want to use XHTML, select file > convert > HTML Transitional 4.01 after conversion to XHTML. This will remove the specific XHTML markup, but leave the tags and attributes to lowercase (even if the handlers like onload will be converted to onLoad). Unfortunately, this only works on individual pages, but this is done by updating a site in a quick and painless way.

  • changing the (capital) uppercase lowercase (lower case)

    I have a J4680 all-in-one and I need to be able to change the uppercase (capital) of tiny (tiny) when you use the keyboard to enter my password correctly when you configure the wireless connection. Does anyone know how change the uppercase (capital) of tiny (tiny)?

    I'm sorry you have a problem of capital letters and tiny to the wireless connection.

    When the keyboard appears on the screen of the printer, there is an ARROW pointing to the top or a TRIANGLE. Press, and the keyboard turns into CAPS.

    If you don't have a KEYBOARD, and you have the keys of NUMBERS and LETTERS, you continue to press the button until the CAPS appear.

    For example, abc, (1), when you press the number 1, it presents, A, then B, then C, then 1. After 1, letters are automatically changed capital A, B and C.

    Let me know if this can help, or if I have confused you.

    Please let me know if anyone has an idea on the same and I would like to know if I'm still missing something.

    First of all, my mistake on the withdrawal of the configuration option. If the option is omitted, the batch will get a entity with table = 'global'. Since your base table is BOW. GLOBAL, it won't work.

    Secondly, the exception you reported when using ARC. GLOBAL is more unexpected. It indicates that the batch has read the option, but may not match the value in a table read name from the entities. The configuration file, you posted looks correct and works correctly with a model project, I created.

    A few things to try:

    Check distinguish uppercase / lowercase

    The configuration is case-sensitive, so must match the name of the table of the said entity exactly.

    Search for hidden illegal characters

    There may be some illegal character hidden in the configuration that prevents treatment by lots of reading the elements. Comment out or temporarily remove each element in turn and compare the error messages thrown when the batch is re-performance.

    The efficiency of forestry

    Set up batch processing to produce output of debug level (see this page). What is re-executed with the original Setup debug output?

    Remove the user table names prefix

    The configuration indicates that the batch process connects to the database that the user of the ARC, so the batch must be able to read the tables identified without the prefix of the user

    • Delete the option
    • Change the header mapping global entity to , ensuring the attribute table = 'global' is tiny.
    • Change the mapping entity ent_ARM header to

    This measure should allow the command processor to implicitly use the mapping of global entities as the basis.

    You can check with your DBA this database is installed as case insensitive ranking or not?

    You can paste the output of query below:

    SELECT name, collation_name

    FROM sys.databases

    WHERE name = 'test2' - put the name of your database here

    You should see a result similar to this SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS

    The substring CS denotes distinguish uppercase / lowercase and CI means case-insensitive.

    Therefore, if the result of the query above showing you use case-sensitive (CS) in the db and then use the following SQL command to change your db gather:

    ALTER DATABASE COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS mds

    For example:

    ALTER DATABASE test---> put the name of your database here

    COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AS---> replace with whatever the rankings you need. In this case, you want to CI.

    If your db is CS then change your db at THIS because the case then test the issue again. Then try again the request of the Executive.

    Please let us know how you go.
