Distributed with different hardware system

Greetings

I would like to know if I can create a distributed system with 2 ACS devices/different instances (1121 and 3415) with the same version.  If this is not possible, I would like to recover the replication of configuration (network devices and customer AAA, shell etc.) to build another system of distribution with the same instance (hardware and version).

Sounds good. If you accept the question as answered, please consider rating the thread.

  • Deployment of a program to clients with different hardware

    Hi all

    I have a general problem with the customers with different hardware. I would appreciate any advice on the subject.

    For example, I have two clients with two different cameras. I wrote a module-oriented camera the camera parent object and children Camera1 and camera2, so that the same logic works for both cameras. I want to deploy the program to clients, but so he could work for two clients, I need to install the drivers of the two cameras at two customers. Is there a way to keep the object oriented and modular code without installing all the drivers of material possible to all customers?

    In the case of two cameras, this isn't a big deal, but my program is more complicated than that and it will interface with dozens of spectrometers, cameras and scanners. I don't want to install each client drivers for all configurations possible. Is there a way to get around this?

    Thank you

    Danielle

    Another alternative would be to use a plugin architecture for your specific items to the customer. Create a Setup program for your application and a camera specific driver for the plugin. Each plugin will be specific to a type of camera-specific and includes the appropriate drivers. Of course this requires your customers to use 2 installers but only the appropriate drivers will be installed. You might be able to pack as a single installer that runs the camera installation after the installation of the application program. Your actual installer would all compatible drivers, but the user will be prompted for which device they use.

  • Windows Clustering with different hardware 2012R2

    Hello

    We have a two 2012R2 Windows cluster node that has a HP Proliant Gen8 and Gen7 server, we have added the Gen7 server as a temporary measure. Although the material does not match the cluster seems to operate normally and the Validation Wizard passes without any significant errors. However, I am not happy that we have a Gen7 server in the cluster and that he wants to replace it with an another Gen8. The new Gen8 server is a slightly newer model, it has different processors, etc., but the same amount of memory bus faster speeds.

    Someone at - it experience of use of a cluster of slightly different hardware? Microsoft is not specific and said that he should not be identical, but similar, https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj612869.aspx. But I've read elsewhere that the CPU families must match, which they are not in my case - the old server has Intel Xeon X 5660 2 x 6-core Westmere-Eps and the new Gen8 has Intel Xeon E5 2690 2 x 8 core Sandy Bridge-EP/EX.

    Is it true that if the Validation Wizard passes we will be supported by Microsoft, more we should not get any problems. Or do we get problems that the material does not correspond exactly.

    Appreciate any input you might have.

    Thank you

  • have 2 hard drives with different operating systems on them

    I'm upgrading. I took a hard drive from another pc. It has windows vista on it. Am using another hard drive with XP on it as a slave. But it does not recognize 2nd hard drive other than a shortcut that my friend created. I think it has to do with group policies in Vista? Or the 2 operating systems will not play nice with them? I can't reformat the drive until I get back to the top on them.

    Finally, I plan to each drive to reformat, but want to back up each drive, so I can't reformat now

    Do you not normally take a hard drive with an installed operating system, on a single computer and put it in another for a start of it.

    You can ask yourself all sorts of problems.

    Motherboard drivers are involved for each computer, they are installed.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    And there are rules of licensing:
    If your computer is pre-installed with Vista or if it was an OEM drive, that you bought, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.
    The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
    You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop
    If a license of Vista at retail, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
    But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.
  • Install Apps on HDs Ext with different operating systems
    HI -.
    What is the process for installation across multiple operating systems multiple ext HDS connected to a computer?
    I have several external hard drives with a Mac OS different on each connected to my Mac desktop to emulate environments with my clients.  My internal HD is running 10.7.5, and I have a 2 TB with Mountain Lion installed external HD.  I would like to know how to install the Adobe applications in each environment.  Because I can never run multiple instances of the operating system at the same time, I can't be in violation of the EULA, ergo I think I should be able to install Adobe software on any of these HDs ext with only one license.
    Thank you.
    You can install a million times until you bleed your ears, but you can never activate 2 installs with a single license. Do not hesitate to turn on and off according to your needs.
    I have Windows 7 Professional on 'C' drive and installed Windows XP Mode on the "D" drive, but I have trouble with my programs running on XP Mode. Can I remove XP Mode of the "D" drive and install Windows XP Professional on that drive "D"? So I multi boot?
    I read that you can not install Winidows XP on the same drive where Winidows 7 is already installed, that's why I inistall Windows XP on a separate disk.
  • ESXi 5.5/Workstation 8, how to make my computer prompted with different CPU
    Hello gurus,
    Let's start which is my goal. I need to create a virtual machine with different hardware (I have no problems with the HARD drive and RAM options). I need the CPU on the system invited to be Intel or SMA.
    My host system is with Intel CPU and Intel part it I don't find any problem. But there the prompt with the SMA is the trickiest part. Does anyone know any thing or any software that can make this possible?
    I also tried to build ESXi 5.5 as a guest on my workstation, but here I can't find how to (if possible at all) the CPU ADM.
    PS Comments OS it is win2k3/8/12
    Thank you!
    Hello Asen,
    You can abstract only that physically you have, so you can't emulate AMD CPUS on Intel CPU hardware.
    For guest with AMD CPU instructions you must use physical server with the desired provider in your case with AMD processor installed server.
    Kind regards
  • Open a virtual machine to different hardware
    Hello
    I read in the documentation center, it's good, as long as all the files are copied correctly, to open a virtual machine on a different host computer with different hardware.
    My question is this, will be the new host with a different material, the original host, recognize the virtual machine snapshots, I had? I could not find that answer, and despite in collaboration with VMware for a year I never found in this situation.
    This virtual machines are very important, they have my TI final degree of engineering project, but my phone no longer works.
    Everything will work as before right?
    Thank you all!
    Hi, Carlos
    and welcome to the forums!
    You are right: If you copy the whole directory to the VM to another machine and open the vmx file in VMware Workstation it then you will have the virtual machine available in exactly the same State as on the old machine (incl. images.).
    If you want to have a backup of the virtual machine, then you can just copy the whole directory of the virtual machine to another location. It is perhaps a good idea in your situation.
  • Additional license for different operating system?
    I have Lightroom 5.7 on my home PC, running Windows 7. I intend to get a small laptop for travel, maybe a Macbook Air. I have to pay for another license for the different operating system?
    If you have only 1 installation, you don't need a separate license. If I remember correctly 1 license should support 2 computers, a laptop and a desktop computer with different operating systems.
  • Stock of access with different Adobe ID without messing with my system ID
    Outside the use of other libraries stock, I sometimes used a Dollar Photo - who bought Adobe.
    Photo of a Dollar has always been a good resource for small editorial due to its price-point - discussion for another day...
    Now that he's under the banner of Adobe, I have a problem of access to the services.
    I created a separate "floating" adobe ID and cloud-account for a member of the team to a short-term contractor access to tools such as being an account that everyone in the company can use to access stock-guarantee. Makes it easy to control stock-spending and control.
    I cannot use this account on my workstation, since it conflicts with my Adobe ID, connect, then Photoshop does not work, ask me to activate again...
    Adobe stock is so useless to me unless I'm willing to go through it and use the demo files, connect different system, buy and send to myself.
    How can I use it in a team setting where different members of the team with their own ID Adobe needs to access the stock market with the id of 'General' or 'shared' as we do with other actions-sites that we use.
    Well, you can access an account created with a single ID when the account is created with a different code. It's like access to Facebook or any other site that requires authentication with different accounts.
    Having said that you do not have a few other options. You just have to identify you on the site Web of Adobe Stock with the ID that you have set up with actions. You don't have to log out of your Adobe applications. Once in Stock you can allow the images and save them in a library. Simply share this library with your main account and you will have access to them. You can share this library with as many people that you have in your company. No additional connection or deactivation and activation required. And no need to use two computers.
    Another option is to Stock for the teams. If you are using a fair share of images among other members of your team or your staff, maybe it's even a better road.
    But using libraries (essentially the same as light boxes on other sites) you should easily be able to do what you need without having to change computers.
    Hope that helps. If this is not the case, can you explain further your workflow and maybe I can be able to offer another solution for you.
  • HP 932C PRINTER DOES NOT WORK ON A NETWORK WITH TWO DIFFERENT OPERATING SYSTEMS.
    I have a 932C HP printer connected via USB to a desktop Windows XP (Dell E520), which is part of a home network.
    I also have a HP Pavilion dv5 notebook, running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit, connected to the same network. This book can find the printer on the network. However, when I try to capture the 932C printer, the following dialog box appears:
    "The printer"hp deskjet 930C series"server has not the printer driver installed. If you want to find the right driver, click OK. Otherwise, click Cancel and contact your network administrator or the OEM equipmente for the printer driver. »
    When I click OK, another dialog box appears:
    «The file ' *.» INF' we (unknown) is needed. Type the path where the file is located, and then click OK. »
    However, I can't find any feasible *.inf file in laptop HP hard drive (both partitions).
    I tried to download the driver from the HP website, but it says that Windows Vista already has the driver for this printer! Well, now I'm stuck!
    I want to emphasize that the printer works fine if I connect it directly to the USB port on the HP laptop. But I want to use the printer via the network, keep it hooked to the Windows XP desktop.
    How to solve this problem? Thank you.
    There is a post where a user got it works with another printer. I'll link below then you can try the solution here. Let me know what happens.
  • Distributed Virtual Switch supporting guests with different numbers of natachasery
    Our environment has had the same ESXi host model for some time. Each has interfaces from 2 to 10 GB for the traffic of the virtual machine. We use a virtual switch distributed with 2 uplinks. Now, we stand at a new environment where there are 2 types of hosts. (1) a small workload ESXi host with interfaces of 2 to 10 GB and (2) a large load of work sESXI host with 4 to 10 GB interfaces. They are seperasted in 2 groups (large and small workload workload).
    I had planned to share a Distributed Switch between the 2 groups, so I could move freely between them according to the needs. The only distinction of level of ESXi host is the power of horse and the I/O bandwidth (storage and networks VM will be used will be the same). It dawned on me that the distributed switch is configured with a particular number of uplinks. I'm trying to picture how this will work in this situation? I thought that I create a vSwitch distributed with 4 uplinks and finish by only using 2 of these uplinks when adding a small amount of work ESXi host to it. This is a valid configuration. Should I disable or do something special with the uplinks unused? I have not met this configuration so I wanted some tips on the correct configuration.
    I have validated this configuration as described previously. A dVS with 4 uplinks can take care of the guests with "up to" 4 interfaces. Hosts with only 2 interfaces will have 2 of the 4 links rising dVS associated with natachasery while the other 2 will remain unused. In my case, I decided to use the uplink 1 and 2. Uplinks 3 and 4 are not used with these hosts.
  • Cluster with different host - resource pools hardware?
    Hello
    We have currently three generations of servers at base of AMD in our environment - with different CPU clock speeds.
    Guests are split into three groups and VMs are grouped based on clock speed.
    But frankly, it's a mess to administer.
    We envisage the creation of a single cluster and using pools of resources.
    But CPU resource pools take host speed of the CPU in return?
    - Or they just sure that VMs receive their share of CPU temps on loan-time partial?
    Best regards
    Martin
    Pools of resources sharing works only when there is some conflict of resources.
    -VMs in 'high' will appear on hosts with fast processors? - and get the most MHz?
    The actions are only priority... Then no.
    With a reservation... it depends on how much MHz offers...
    - Or they simply receive a high share of CPU time on a random host?
    By shars Yes...
    But remember the first sentence!
    If you have enough of free resources, all virtual machines are also (for actions).
