div with border

Hi I've created an id div with a border that I want to use to get a price list at the moment as many m inside, but it does not appear on the page and I do not understand why, can help please. Thanks, Jeff

the div is: < div id = "price-box" >

CSS file is: residential - page_cs5.css

{#price-box}

position: absolute;

border is 1px color should be terracotta to match theme

the height is 300px

the width is 600px

Site and the page is: http://thecarpetandflooringconsultant.co.uk/residential-domestic_carpet_and_flooring.php

That's because this div is nested in several other films, whose (div id = "p7IRM_2" class = "p7IRM01") has overflow set to hidden. All content outside the limit of this div is hidden. It is be the div slide show, which probably has other parameters set by javascript. If you move the "mmmmm" out of p7IRM_2 div, it should appear.

  • Div with background will not make properly

    Hello

    I hope you can help out me.  I'm a newbie, but I appreciate learning Dreamweaver and learning * with * DW as well.  I have successfully set up a site with DW, but a second has me baffled.  With this site, I try to use a photo as the background for a main div.  I was experimenting with different looks, and when I removed the #main height/width and then pasted in the height/width of the div, the div will not return to the old height/width front.  I tried all sorts of changes to see what else could have changed, but I don't know that this css is exactly the same than when made correctly.

    My goal is to create a page with a sidebar on the left and a main div with the background of the photo and a title on the page and a footer at the bottom.

    Here's the URL: www.learningtreefarm.org/mainindex.html

    Here's the CSS:

    {body
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    text-align: center;
    }

    #container {}
    Width: 80%;
    background-color: # 9-9;
    margin: 0 auto;
    overflow: hidden;
    text-align: left;
    }

    #sidebar {}
    Width: 13em;
    do-family: Calibri, Arial, without serif.
    float: left
    padding-top: 15px;
    padding-right: 0;
    padding-bottom: 15px;
    padding-left: 0;
    }

    #main {}
    background-image: url (.. / images/webLTFbankbarnandpasture.jpg);
    height: 575 px;
    Width: 773 px;
    float: right;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    do-family: "Monotype Corsiva";
    font size: 350%;
    color: #FFF;
    text-align: left;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    }

    #container #sidebar img {}
    padding-top: 15px;
    padding-right: 20px;
    padding-bottom: 5px;
    padding-left: 30px;
    }
    #container #sidebar ul {}
    padding-left: 40px;
    }
    #footer {}
    height: 100px;
    do-family: Calibri, Arial, without serif.
    text-align: center;
    Clear: both;
    padding: 0px;
    border-top-width: thin;
    border-top-style: solid;
    border-bottom-color: #000;
    }
    #container #footer HR {}
    Color: #000;
    padding-top: 15px;
    }

    Hope that gives you enough information to see my problem.

    Thank you, Osgood, but I don't want the background through the entire site, just to the main div.  The sidebar and the footer

    will be part of a model for future pages, but this is the first page of the site. I'm sure I know how to maintain the size of the div with just the background and the text line.  My confusion is why, when I removed the size properties and then glued hide them, did not the div return to what it was before?

    Your main

    is not picking up the width and the height because you have a space so that is the unit of measure and px. (see below)

    #main {}
    background-image: url (.. / images/webLTFbankbarnandpasture.jpg);
    height: 575 px;
    Width: 773 px;
    float: right;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    do-family: "Monotype Corsiva";
    font size: 350%;
    color: #FFF;
    text-align: left;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    }

  • Could I put in a fluid grid layout, a div with any property?

    Could someone please help me?, thanks

    Could I put another div in a layout fluid grid? Could put a div with a z-index value a fluid page layout grid? I could put a div with a transition to a fluid grid layout? Could I get any property of a div in a layout fluid grid?

    I can create a different stylesheet that takes all the fluid grids?

    forgive, but I have all these questions...

    Thank you and best regards.

    Fluid grid is right DW on "Sensitive" web design

    Any changes made to their fluid grid CSS break Visual AIDS that is displayed in design mode.

    Other than that, I don't see why you can't use a regular DIV within a checkerboard to fluid - and style it with one different CSS file (other than the presentation of the fluid grid CSS files).

    If you're referring to the CSS3 transitions, they work.

    Once again, as I said, fluid Grid layout is terminology just DW - any code you write it will work. However, if you want the full support of Visual AIDS, do not change the code manually in the default .css file. Feel free to add content / code in a different .css file.

    Good luck.

  • Tag div with text and image vertically centered

    I'm having a problem with vertically align an image with a line of text in a div tag using an external CSS file.
    Any help would be appreciated

    You can simply do:

    ProdDimensions img {vertical-align: middle ;}}

    Or you can use an unordered list that has your arrow incorporated as a background image, something like this:

    . ProductList ul {list-style-image: url (Arrow.gif); list-style-position:outside;list-style-type:none;text-align:left ;}}
    . ProductList li {margin: 0 ;}}

    Wrap your unordered list around a div with the ProductList class (or whatever you want to call it) and it will display with the arrows in the middle of the text.

    Another way to do it would be to put a background image on the ProdDimensions class as follows:
    background: url (Arrow.gif) left Center no-repeat; padding-left: 21px;

    This will simply put a background image in the left middle of your div, the padding will ensure that the text is not on top of the arrow.

  • Image with border in circles

    Hello

    I can't understand how to display an image with border in circles (without changing the image source of course :))
    There is no attribute of cornerRadius, we cannot define a border skin class... maybe with masks, but I tried without success. Any idea?

    What you are looking for is not a border - it's a mask. Try this:

    http://www.Adobe.com/2006/mxml"layout ="absolute">

    Import mx.core.FlexShape;
    Import mx.core.UIComponent;

    private void setupMask(): void

    Mask.Graphics.Clear ();
    mask.graphics.beginFill (0 x 000000, 1);
    mask.graphics.drawCircle (100,100,50);
    mask.graphics.endFill ();
    imageFrame.addChild (mask);
    imageFrame.mask = mask;
    }

    I think this will give you the same result as border-collapse: collapse; with the exception that it will show the corners rounded.

  • How to position my tag div with top, bottom, left and right attributes?

    So I have my background image and then I want only the sides to display so I put my div tag in the Center and does it extend to the edges of the top and bottom of the page, then theres a little bit of the background image on the sides of the white div. Than perfect, but when I focus I had to remove the position attribute. Now, I can not use the up, down, left and right attributes.

    OLD CODE WITHOUT A CENTER:

    {#whitediv}

    position: absolute;

    Top: 0px;

    Width: 930px;

    height: 100%;

    z-index: 1;

    background-color: #FFF;

    }

    NEW CODE WITH CENTER POSITION BUT CANT IT:

    {#whitediv}

    position:;

    Top: 0px;

    margin: 0px auto;

    Width: 930px;

    height: 100%;

    z-index: 1;

    background-color: #FFF;

    }

    To Center elements with CSS, you need 4 basic things.

    1. A document type is valid,
    2. width in pixels, % or ems, container
    3. a margin left and right of the automobile,
    4. default positioning (static or not specified).

    For example, the following page has a centered division.

    http://ALT-Web.com/test/resizable-BG.shtml

    The background image is applied to the CSS body selector.

    / * DIV CENTERED * /.

    {#page online purchase

    Width: 70%;
    margin: 5th auto;
    Padding: 3em;
    background: rgba (0,0,0, 0.70);
    color: #FFF;
    }

  • Floating a div with absolute positioning

    Hello, I'm floating a div wrapped around and have another filling of the space to the right. I used absolute positioning to align two div on the bottom of the package, and I think that's what it's a waste. If I remove the bottom: 20px; then the right div takes up 100% of the envelope and executes a push of the div floating left down.
