  Hi all

  I use Illustrator CS4 and I have interest in the character bounding box when I export it to PDF. I use the tool crop box (also called plan of work, ToolShift + O) for setting up the bounding box handmade and then export the figure in pdf format. The problem is that I can observe false small white lines in the exported pdf file. It seems that the bounding box is not perfectly implemented. Are you aware of this problem? Is there a work around?

  I don't think that there is no problem in itself and did something wrong. Sounds like your bog standard antialiasing / overprinting of transparency of merger, if the items are not placed and shaped so that their pixelated out perfectly coincides with whole pixels over the usual questions with trapping, etc., that Acrobat will obey its own parameters and properties defined in your document of the AI-based and which becomes especially relevant if blending modes raster and partial opacity effects are involved. You need to look at these things more than anything else and find the right combination of settings...

I also intend to use PDF files to make a 100 printed copies. If I stick with 18 p can I completely reformat the book for this version?

  Just export a copy of your book in PDF and see if you like it or not.

  iBA is not really intended for the production of printed books, so you should check that the PDF files that you get from it are not suitable for this.  Normally, for printing, use an app like Pages designed for that.

• How to change the orientation of the page of a file pdf size and margins of page? Are there tools available to do this?

  We're converting Lotus Notes documents in PDF format by exporting (printing) to PDF using a PDF writer but found that some contents are truncated or cropped. Must manually reprint in pdf format using a different page/paper settings in order to capture the content correctly. Are there other methods or tools that can automate this step?   Page size options are limited, but are in the crop tool. If there are no tags or other markup, you can also print to a new PDF and adjust the size of the printer - sometimes the simplest interface, but normally not recommended. The rotation can be made in the menu document and then saved. The rotation, which is usually on the toolbar are only for the current view and does not record with the PDF file. Many of them you can use a batch process to solve (in AA8 which is under the advanced > Document Processing).   Try to change it to sRGB and check again.

  You might also want to calibrate your color monitor profile and check.

• PDF, when 'real size' value seems different compared to 'Real size' Indesign.

  I'm working on a screen of 30 "(Windows 7)." The resolution of the display is 2560 x 1600.

  I'm trying to export a PDF from Indesign files for display on the screen. The Indesign document page size is set to 1280 x 800px. So, when I view the file Indesign to "REAL SIZE" it covers exactly half of my screen (horizontally speaking).

  Now when I export the Indesign file to pdf format. The pdf file when the value 'REAL SIZE' / size 100% appears much larger in size. On my screen it appears approximately 30% bigger. It covers more than half of my screen when it should be exactly half of my scree.

  Why is this and how I make appear the same size seen in "REAL SIZE" that is to say 100%? I mean it's the same monitor, so it should appear the same as seen on 'REAL SIZE' inside Indesign or 'REAL SIZE' inside the pdf?

  Adobe Bridge metadata to the pdf are properly listed as 1280 x 800.

  Please help because it drives me crazy!

  I made a document in In Design, which is 7x9.25' and it prints in the correct size when I print from In Design.  But when I export to PDF in Acrobat DC it prints more.  It prints to 8.5 x 11.  When I cut along the outline of the document, printing In Design is the exact size I want, but leave the PDF file, even after I cut along the outline, it is too much.  Is there a setting that I need to use in In Design before exporting to PDF print to the exact size that I created it in In Design?

  In Acrobat, place your cursor in the lower left corner of the screen and it will show you what your document is about the size. If the size of the document is correct, then I guess that when you print from Acrobat, which you 'Fit' selected under Page size and handling in the print dialog box. Make sure that 'real size' is chosen, and which should print in the right size.

  And in the process you'll find yourself with a flattened PDF. If you send to a client for proofing, be prepared to explain that these ugly white lines in all directions does not print it. And when they print to a desktop printer and print some lines, you'll have a problem of real credibility on your hands.

  This does not create an editor in the browser, it simply creates a process simple upload/display. For a WYSIWYG editor that manages the PDF format or doc, you need something much more sophisticated, and I can't propose something here.
