Updates download not (Vista Business 32-Bit)

I have a problem (only in the last week, everything before that was working OK) with updates are available, but when selected and download starting (supposedly) it does not work.

Instead he said: it is downloading but never gets beyond zero.

I tried to read the articles on the problem, but all the recommended solutions apply to Windows 7 and later versions, with only a single link that I managed to find (wu10.diagcab) relative to troubleshooting updates on Vista.

Unfortunately, this download but does not open (Windows does not recognize the file), so I think that does not actually exist.

Any help/advice will be highly appreciated, but I'm not a "techie" so simple it's more the probability of me being able to make sense.

It is necessary to stop a continuous research in defining 'never find updates' updated Automatic and restart Windows. :)

switch from 32-bit to 64-bit for windows vista business oem

The product key on the label of COA affixed to your computer (in the battery on some laptops) is the same for 32-bit and 64-bit.  However, there is no place to download a Vista Business .iso file.  You can contact the manufacturer of your computer for help, but OEMS are not required to provide copies of 32-bit and 64-bit of their recovery software.  Once a customer chooses one or the other platform is usually all that he has the right to.  Check the manufacturer's Web site to see if the recovery software can be ordered both ways.  If this isn't the case, you may be stuck.

  • Window vista business 32 bit auto update not install SP1

I have Window vista business 32 bit on Sony Vaio laptop. My automatic update of the window is on, a lot of updates were installed, I can't find the SP1.  I checked the updates, saw "the view update history" but can't find SP1.  Basic information system shows no service pack. 'Winver' shows Version 6.0 (6000 building). All other window updates have been installed except "Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express edition service pack 3 (KB955706) who is still unable to install, do not know for what reason." I guess that there is no link between the failed SQL and SP1. It is after a complete reinstall of Vista 3-4 days back.

Prior to the relocation is in that the original version, Vista SP1 was installed automatically by the Update window.
I wonder if SP1 is already installed, but is not displayed or should I download and install it manually.

  • Vista Business 32-bit to Windows 7 Ultimate 64. Product key does not

I had a package of Vista business. Wanted to upgrade to Windows 7, because it is free upgrade offer. Downloaded Advisor followed the instructions. I am informed, I can move to Vista Business 32-bit but for 64 bit I have to do a custom installation. "became frustrated statement followed...". Do you currently own a license for Windows 7 Ultimate? Windows 7 is not free, you really need a single license (product key) for her. You cannot borrow or use the product key from someone.

If you do not have a license, have you tried to restart by phone?

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

  • Windows Vista Business 32-bit external drive does not work in the administrator account

Hello, I installed Microsoft Windows Vista Business 32-bit on a Dell Precision T3400 workstation, and I have also configured the strategies of groups for Non administrators. Basically, I disabled the removable drives, 'C' and had "only for non administrators." After edit in GP, the system has been precisely set and I am able to access the Administrators account and copy stuffs from my local drive on my USB key. But a few days later, I'm not able to use my USB or other external drives in Administrator account, it shows that 'inaccessible '. But I can't access local drives 'C' or '. Then I have to redo the group policies and it will last only for 3 days. Thanks :)

  • Vista Business 64-Bit with AutoCAD 2009 does not seem to use all 8 GB of RAM available.

A workstation newly built (S5000XVN Intel / Xeon / 8 GB RAM / 2 GB RAM video) with Windows Vista Business 64-bit is used with AutoCAD 2009 (64-bit).  The workstation hangs under stress, apparently because not enough RAM is available.  ("Stress" is "Turning entirely made of a certain complexity 3D drawings")

The Task Manager / Performance tab indicates never to use RAM above about 3.25 GB, even if ten or more concurrent applications are loaded, including IE 8 (6 graphically heavy windows) and AutoCAD with 6 or more complex drawings open at the same time.

There are two issues, I think:
    1. in the event that a busy workstation indicate use RAM above the 32-old bit of 3.2 GB limit?
2 are there MS Windows Vista settings that are necessary to ensure the use of RAM available?

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the reply.

I studied the installation of AutoCAD 2009.  It's actually the 64-bit version that is installed, and the Task Manager reports it as a 64-bit application when it runs.  (In other words, it is not marked as a 32 bit application.)

I must admit that I no longer believe that the machine is running out of resources or do not use all the resources available to it.  We tested the machine by throwing 18 complex, fully rendering the 3D drawings within the Academy, in addition to two cases of IE 8, three instances of Explorer Windows and MS Windows Mail.  Use of the RAM did climb, reaching finally the 4.06 GB, clearly indicating that the 32-bit 3.2 GB limit has been exceeded.  It seems that just drawings don't take up that much RAM.  BTW, there was no increase in the paging activity that I could see.

However, the application does not seem to be frozen or looping when the client attempted to turn one of the drawings.  The CPU on the two wires (Xeon processor) usage increased to 55% and remained there. the State of the process, as reported by the task manager went to "Not responding" and stayed there; and the display of the image froze on an empty workspace, with a three seconds flash drawing on every 20 seconds.

So: It now seems that there is a problem with AutoCAD, not a Vista problem.  I would appreciate comments, however, if you think that this analysis is wrong, incomplete or based on wrong assumptions.

    Thanks for your help.

  • SONY Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo MS-HX16A doesn't work in Vista Business 32-bit

When I insert my memory stick Duo PRO-HG in my laptop gateway E - 155 running Vista 32-bit Professional (Service Pack 2), and I check the Device Manager, a device called "MemoryDisk0" appears under the "Disk drives" section of Device Manager.  It runs by default windows drivers disk.sys and partmg.sys.  The disk memory is not recognized by Windows (it does appear as a hard drive under 'Computer'), or he 'fills' when this button is pressed under "Volume" in the Panel properties for MemoryDisk0 (I get an error msg).  ALSO: if I hit "Scan for hardware changes" or even "Uninstall" for this device, the system just loops - nothing happens, and I have to use Windows Task Manager to end the task.  ALSO: if I try to restart my computer, Windows will not come - I need to remove the Memory stick or return o a previous installation of good.

How can I get Windows Vista Business 32-bit to recognize the drive correctly?  I visited the site of SONY, and the only driver I can find for sticks of memory is the MSAC-EX1.  I did try and 'forcing' Device Manager Vista to load this driver for MemoryStick0, but Windows says that it is not a compatible driver.

    Hello

    1. When you mention "I get a msg of error", what is you get the exact error message?

In Device Manager , right-click on the "MemoryDisk0" and select Properties, and check what error code you get and post back with the details.

    2. have you tried to connect a different Memory Stick?

If other USB keys connect very well, then I think your SONY Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo MS-HX16A could be faulty and you may have to contact Sony for better help.

Afterwards, do a right-click on the device (MemoryDisk0) in Device Manager and try to update and check if that helps.

  • Problem installation Vista Business 32 Bit ISO on Optiplex GX620

I asked to re - install a company ISO of Vista Business 32-bit specific on some Optiplex GX620s former.

These are the only computers that we have. I tried every method of installation has failed to halfway through or simply does not work.

    I tried:

    • Bootable flash drive (this worked the first time but is end of installation even after formatting the disc flash several times). I have been using this method.
    • External DVD USB drive (BIOS is not recognize it as a boot device)
    • Installation on an Optiplex 755, then proceed to the exchange of hard disks. (This causes a restart loop when the hard drive on the GX620 loading, I'm guessing that following a conflict of driver. I can't use the CD we since none of the GX620s have installation DVD players)

My question: is there another way to install this ISO I'm not aware of, or someone knows a way to solve one of the above mentioned conflicts?

I know that is a lot to ask for these older machines, but our resources are overwhelmed, and our budget is not allowing us to buy new desktop computers at the present time.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

I would update your Windows 10130 then Windows 10 Pro machines to make them Windows 10 devices (should you decide to use them with Windows 10). Later, you can reinstall Windows Vista:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/Windows-XPVISTA-%E2%86%92-Windows-10-free-upgrade/

The Insider preview will soon expire so this upgrade path will be lost. In regards to the blue screen, run the full pre-launch F12 diagnostics:

  • Reuse an old copy of Vista Business 32-bit

    Hello

I have a copy of Vista Business 32 bit that I bought so at College and I wanted to install it on a laptop more old that I have (just something to have on the laptop to make it usable until I can buy a copy of Windows 7). I went through the installation process and when I was asked to validate the key on the DVD that I got a "the code you entered is in use, please type a different code" or something of the sort. At this point, I remembered that I used the DVD a few years trying to fix a computer for my mother. This computer has since surpassed this world. My question is this: is there a way to get that code off or released so that I can use it on another computer. I have the original disk and COA code for the disk. I just don't remember if it was a one time use or not and if it's possible. Otherwise it's not a big deal, as I said I am decided on buying a copy of 7, just do not know when, was just a shot in the water the hopes that I could reuse the old code.

As long as the code is not still active elsewhere, you are free to use forever once again, on any computer (one at a time).

To reset the number of activations, just call the number 1-800 that shows on this error message.  Tell the operator and they will reset the meter and it let you to install again.

  • Order a DVD of installation for Vista Business 64 bit

    Hello

I recently bought a copy of Vista Business 32 bit of the technology of my college Department. I originally wanted the 64-bit version, but this version is only available for students. I was told, however, that I would be able to order a 64-bit installation DVD. I went to the Windows Vista alternate Media page and entered my product key, but it came with a message that told me that he was not available. I'm just curious what about if I am actually able to order a 64-bit installation DVD or if there is even one for me to order.

    Thank you

  • Vista Business 32 bit crash version after the addition of mor to 2 GB RAM

I am running Vista, up to this point, that I was able to make it work for me, and when I couldn't run my GIS software in Vista I used VistaBoot Pro and started in XP. I was with 2 GB of RAM and I tried to add more 2 GB and when I booted into Vista it cling to the bars of the screen with the green movement and would not go further. I can boot XP using any combination of 4 GB of memory, even if XP does recognize that 3.24 GB. So, why does Vista Business 32 bit version not starting?

    Hi Mikelmac,

The option is disabled if the operating system installed on your computer is greater than the version available on DVD, and on the bottom of the screen even, you will find a message indicating the reason for the same.

If your DVD is vista SP1 and Vista SP2 installed you will not be able to perform an inplace upgrade.
