DNG Converter 8.3 questions help.

I have PS5 and 5.6 of Lightroom.  I use an Olympus camera M-1 E.  When I went to send a photo RAW from LR to PS, I get a message saying I needed to update Camera Raw.  I never use Camera Raw.  So after a live chat, I downloaded DNG Converter 8.3 to support the E-M-1 of the RAW files.  The converter is in my Mac Applications folder.  I have to do something else with it?  I always get the same message and cannot send my E photos M-1 from Lightroom to Photoshop.  I have no problem sending them in Aperture.  PS supports my RAW files. Thank you

The DNG Converter is a program that you run regardless of Lightroom or Photoshop. It allows to create negative digital copies of your raw files. These DNG copies contain the original raw image data, but are in a standardized format. Therefore, you can open the DNG files with Adobe products. Just having the converter DNG on your computer will make possible for you to open raw files in older versions of the software. You use the converter to create files compatible with what you use.

If the installation program itself fails to open and run. Download it again maybe your current download is corrupted. Also, what OS you are using and you are an administrator with permission to install.

I downloaded Adobe DNG Converter 9.0, but when I try to download a file no picture and it says gray: "no items match your search."

I'm in tight (like most designers), so any solution ASAP would be great. And Yes, I know that my Photoshop is old. Nothing I can really do about it at the moment. Thanks in advance!

In Photoshop, select help > about plug-in > Camera Raw.

If it is 2.3 or less, you need to update Camera Raw 2.4, which you can download here:

  • Lightroom CC & DNG Converter cannot open the CR2 files, but Photoshop CC can?

    Hi guys,.

I have a problem with raw on this computer files and I can't understand why. I can open my. In Photoshop CC CR2 files, but the same files are not readable by Lightroom or Adobe DNG converter. Lightroom says "files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom", and the converter DNG said "source folder contains no raw files of any supported camera."

All software is updated to the date of this post. The. CR2 files come out a cannon 80 d and a Canon 7 d and are not corrupt (as evidenced by the fact that Photoshop has no problem to open). Other raw files that have been imported directly from cameras, or that were copied from the camera memory cards a different machine, then transferred to the machine in question were very well. Other machines have no problem with those files, either. It is something specific to the software installed on this machine and how it is configured, and I'm at a loss as to what could be the cause of it.

At one point, app Windows photo was accidentally set as default application to open CR2 files. This may have been when the problem started, but I can't say for sure. Whatever it is, this problem has been fixed; Lightroom is now set as the default application for CR2 files. The machine was also installed on CaptureOne (since it is uninstalled) and he had the same problems with these raw files.

Before you reinstall Windows, someone at - it suggestions?

Suggest your Camera Raw (used by Photoshop, but not Lightroom) is 9.5.

In Lightroom, click Help > topic. Must they be 2015.5.1 if you are up-to-date. You need at least 2015.5 for 80 d files.

    The. CR2 files come out a cannon 80 d and a Canon 7 d

You mean the 7 D Mark II? The 7 d is an old camera since 2009.

  • Belongs to Adobe Camera Raw, DNG Converter version 7.1? Or is it a separate download? I have LR5

Sorry, I think I put too much info in the bar of the Question. Thanks, Mike

The description indicates that Camera Raw is part of the download, but in reality is only the DNG Converter. Later versions of Camera Raw are obtained via the menu help/updates in Photoshop. And I'm sure that you realize that Lightroom does not use plug in Camera Raw.

  • Confused - DNG Converter RC for d810 RAW files - does not work...

    Hi everyone-

Sorry for the stupid question, but I've never had to do before. I read somewhere here that if you download camera raw and dng converter 8_6 8_6 you can convert the raw files of d810. I just tried with the dng converter and it says that the files are not recognized.

what I am doing wrong? can someone help me understand this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

There is a known bug in the DNG 8.6 converter with the sRaw (small raw) format. It will be fixed in the final release, the public. Normal size raw format is not affected.

  • DNG converter NEF with Nikon 5500 files does not work

    Hello

hope it's someone who can help me. I have a new Nikon D5500, but Lightroom 5. As it is not compatible, I use the DNG Converter to convert my NEF files to DNG, so I can use it in Lightroom 5. I converted the files two days ago, but since today the DNG Converter does not detect my NEF files in the corresponding folder.

Also, I tried to update the compatibility mode that I have Windows 8, but even if it does not work.

Any idea? I would appreciate answers I want to prepare the photos of my sister's wedding.

Thank you so much in advance.

    Concerning

    Matthas

A common mistake that you are probably aware of, is that the DNG Converter works at the FILE level. In other words, in the DNG Converter, you choose the file, but you do not open this folder. If you have selected the folder, but are still having the problem, then another consideration would be the software that was used to download the images. Some versions of Nikon Transfer seem to influence the NEF files that Adobe software cannot read. If none of these problems relate to your situation, please explain what is different about these NEF files from the previous that you were able to convert.

  • DNG converted files won't load is not in windows LR

I usually use LR on my Mac, but my work recently bought LR for windows (they don't support Mac)

I downloaded the camera RAW to DNG converter, but when I try to open the files converted in LR, I then see in the preview screen, but when I change the mode to "develop", I get a blue screen, but I can still see the image in the Preview on the left window.

I have never experienced this on my Mac.

I hope someone can help :-/

    Hi Bridget,

It looks like you can run into a problem with a GPU/incompatible card not supported. Try the following.

    1. in LR preferences, go to the performance tab

    2. uncheck the 'use graphics processor '.

3 return to develop LR mode

    Kind regards

  • Cannot open the Canon 80 d Raw files PSE11. Have downloaded DNG Converter, but it does not work. [was: new camera, the old version of Photoshop Elements]

I have a new Canon EOS 80 d camera and Photoshop elements 11 will not open to raw files. Following the instructions online, I downloaded dng converter 9.5, which is supposed to update Photoshop for this device. But it still doesn't work. It is unclear what I see online (and there is no number to call for support) If a later version of elements is needed to do this, or if items is even helped at all by the converter of 9.5. -What for the full program of Photoshop? Any suggestions? I spent a few hours on this today, and it's frustrating. After Nikon to Canon this round and so they need new lenses, filters, etc., I have not exactly cash remains for a new program of camera as well.

I downloaded dng converter 9.5, which is supposed to update Photoshop for this device.

The DNG Converter does not update Photoshop Elements.

The DNG Converter is a free utility provided by Adobe to convert files to DNG files your Camera Raw files. Then, you change the converter's resulting DNG files in your version of Photoshop Elements.

I have not exactly cash remains for a new program of camera as well.

In this digital age, always the factor of the cost of an upgrade software with the cost of a new digital camera. A good camera filter will cover the cost of the upgrade of the software.

One of the benefits of the Cloud Adobe is that updates of the new cameras are included in the membership fee with no additional cost.

  • DNG Converter is not able to open the cr2 (greyed icons) files.

DNG Converter not able to open the cr2 (greyed icons) files if they are on the disc or the office. With the help of Mac El Capitan, CC, Canon 6 d. Used to work on the earlier Mac OS. Similarly, the "get photos from camera" button in cc Bridge does not detect any photos or devices. What needs to be put in place for the DNG Converter recognise once again my cr2 files?

It's apparently a problem with El Capitan. See this thread:

Copy of the correct answer: ' discovered Adobe Bridge CC with Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan) does not work with many USB devices to import images (including iPhone). " Apple said: "the USB stack is completely redesigned to improve stability and performance compared to Mac OS 10.10. Applications and third-party drivers for vendor-specific USB devices may require modification. "This is something APPLE has changed, that I hope that Adobe can answer, because now there is no real solution. »

  • Files Nikon D810 and LR CC raw / DNG Converter

I just got a Nikon D810. I upgraded to Lightroom CC as the Adobe person assured me that she would recognize my D810 raw files. This isn't. Neither the 9.3 DNG Converter. I already have successfully copied the files to a folder on my hard drive. What's wrong? Help, please!

I know, I thought it would be too much work. It says "Preview not available for this file" - Although it shows the boxes (with no images) and file names. Is it possible to only put in place something wrong on the device itself?

You connect the camera directly to the computer, or you use a card reader?

Have you used the Nikon software to get the images of your device and on your hard drive? As I read the Nikon software can corrupt, change, images as well as the Nikon software can read them.

  • Problems with ACR and DNG Converter for Nikon D7100

    Hello

I tried different ways to solve my problems but I don't know what to do with the work anymoreNothing. I have Adobe Photososhop CS5 student version

I tried several times to update camera raw (following instructions of videos) and I still get the message: "Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 update - there was an error downloading this update. Quit and try again later. "

When I try to run the converter DNG for my Nikon D7100, I get the message: "there is no disk in the drive. Insert a disc into the/Device/Harddisk1/DR1. I press "continue". The DNG format appears and I select the folder where my. RAW files are located. When I try to convert, I get the message "no items matching your search. The software does not see my files.

I don't understand why I can't update my ACR; is it because it is an older version of the student. Should I uninstall I'm afraid to do it and not be able to reinstall it. It always works for me with my my photos taken with my D80.

    Need help, please.

First of all, the D7100 requires at least 7.4 camera that is only compatible with Photoshop CS6 Raw. About the DNG Converter, you need at least version 7.4, but you might as well download and use the latest version if it is compatible with your operating system. When you choose the folder containing your images, just click once to select the folder, but do not open the file. The DNG Converter works at the file level. If you open the folder that contains your NEF files, then you will get the message that you receive.

  • Journal of the Adobe DNG Converter?

    Screenshot 2015-06-23 16.25.34.png

That's what I see after the Adobe DNG Converter.  I would like to know the nature of the conversion error and to be able to download a list of files that are not converted.  By clicking on the button to learn more about Adobe.com does not help, believe it or not.

I think that the adobe dng converter only converts files camera raw to DNG.

Does not work with tif or jpeg files, so it seems that this is the reason for the message "there was an error of analysis of the file.
