  I spent nearly a thousand dollars, or even more, on CS2 for my PC back in the day.  Added a few very expensive actions.  Now, Microsoft will not support Vista, so upgraded to a MAC and spent thousands more.  Downloaded the link from Adobe to use CS2 but new MAC is apparently too new and the OS does not support the update online.  There must be a solution where customers do not get screwed out of thousands of dollars. Help me to Adobe here!

  Here are the steps for PlayOnMac:

  (1) download and install PlayOnMac.

  (2) you may need to install Quartz during installation. This means that you need to connect and only once before you start playonmac.

  (3) install Keka (archive) Keka - free Mac OS X file archiver

  You'll need to decompress archive Adobe Photoshop CS2 later.

  (4) download the Installer WINDOWS Photoshop CS2 here (don't forget to check the box "I agree"):

  Download Adobe Acrobat 7 and Adobe Creative Suite 2

  To do this, you MUST be connected to your first Adobe account. Then, open this link.

  Copy the serial number (select and command + c)

  (5) use Keka to decompress the Photoshop CS2 exe file (which is actually a zipped folder) somewhere on your desktop.

  (6) beginning PlayOnMac. Click on "install a program."

  7) click on 'Install an unlisted program' in the lower left of the window playonmac.

  (8) take note of the three instructions that appear.

  -leave the unchanged default installation directory.

  -do not leave the Installer launch the application at the end of the installation

  -If asked if you want to restart Windows, you can answer Yes, but under no circumstances should you restart the host operating system yourself.

  (9) click Next a bunch of times, then select "install a program in a new virtual disk".

  (10) enter a name for your photoshop cs2. No space! For example: "photoshopCS2.

  (11) then of dialogue: keep all uncontrolled boxed and click 'next '.

  (12) after a certain time, it will ask you to select the installation file. Navigate to the unzipped Windows Photoshop CS2 installation folder and open the folder ' Adobe Photoshop (R) CS2. Then select the file "Setup.exe".

  (15) repeat these steps, if you wish, to ImageReady.exe. When done, select "I don't want to make another shortcut.

  Phew, finished! Photoshop CS2 is now listed in your PlayOnMac dialog box. Run it by selecting the icon and then clicking on "Run" in the left sidebar.

  I recently had a new Toshiba NB100 (netbook) with Ubuntu installed Remix (hardy, uname - r = 2.6.24 - 19-lpia).

  The problem I have is that it does not support reiserfs volume (disk usb in my case) and I couldn't find the way to solve. The only available with the string 'reiserfs' package is 'reiserfsprogs' (already installed).

  I realized that resierfs module has not yet built on architecture 'lpia '.

  Is this correct? Any solution?

  Hello, we have a new HP M477fdn.

  We have a question about printer drivers and utility software, please: why is there not a printer for the series M477 profile?

  It is a great printer, then sitting our old HP 4050dtn, wired Ethernet connection.  Firmware datecode is 20160331.

  We have two computers running Mac OS X 10.9.5 "snipers".

  We have installed the most recent HP printer software update (hpprinterdriver3.1.dmg) downloaded from the apple.com website.

  We have also installed most of the HP (hp-printer-essentials-L - 4_9_0.pkg) downloaded from hp.com.  It is necessary to download this because the program "HP Easy Start" does not, as several other people have reported on this support forum.

  In "System Preferences"-> "Printers and Scanners"-> the only option to implement this printer is "Generic PostScript Printer.  It works, but it seems to have limited functionality.

  In system preferences, we found the profile to configure fax: "HP Color LaserJet MFP M477 Pro. Fax' and that works as expected.

  In system preferences, we expected to see a profile to set up the printer: "HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477" but that does not exist.  Why not?  What do we lack?

  With Mac OS X 10.9 "Generic PostScript printer" is the only option.

  The M477fdn works with Mac OS X 10.9, and as seen below, you miss a lot with "Generic PostScript Printer."

  We tried another Mac with 10.11.2 "El Capitan", which, at the time of writing, is the latest version of the OS.  Yet once the program 'HP Easy Start' did not work, so we used the same "hp-printer-essentials-L - 4_9_0.pkg ' downloaded from hp.com.

  The only additional functionality that we see to print with Mac OS X 10.11 is a check box "Printing black & white."

  Your mileage may vary.
